Today I am featuring a card from the new Flowering Dogwood collection from Heartfelt Creations. This collections is beautiful with subtle colours and gorgeous flowers – just made for vellum.
Here is a couple of close ups of the dove and flowers:
Cardstock – White Timbrels
Paper – Flowering Dogwood
Stamps – Flowering Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood and Doves, Flowering Dogwood Branches
Dies, Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood & Doves, Flowering Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood Branches, Classic Border Basics, Delicate Border Basics, Luggage, Tags and Labels, Spellbinders Classic Oval Circles Large, Floral Ovals
Inks – Memento Angel Pink, Bamboo Leaves, Colorbox Frost White
Embossing Powder – Ranger Bridal Tinsel
Prills – Lettuce Entertain You
Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay Marker
Art Glitter Dries Clear
Cut a piece of white cardstock 10” x 7”, score at 5” inches to fold and make the base card. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5” x 7” and then using the leafy edge from the Delicate Border Basic set die cut each end of the cardstock. Cut a piece of patterned paper 5” x 6” and using the plain cutting edge and the stitch edge from the Classic Border Basics die cut the edges. Cut an oval out of the centre of the patterned paper.
To create the frame die cut the large oval from the Floral Oval set. Die cut another two of the same oval but this time using the Spellbinders Oval die cut the centre out and adhere the two pieces together. Adhere to the base floral oval with foam tape for depth. Adhere the patterned paper oval into the centre and then adhere the entire frame to the base card.
To make the flowers and branches I have stamped the images from the Flowering Dogwood and Flowering Dogwood & Doves sets with Colorbox Frost White ink and embossed with Ranger Bridal Tinsel on vellum. Colour the back of the images with Bamboo Leaves and Angel Pink. Die cut and using the Deluxe Shaping Kit shape the flowers and leaves. Add the Lettuce Entertain You Prills to the centre of the flowers.Cut the fronds of the branches in half and arrange around the oval frame. Place the flowers as shown in the card.
To make the dove stamp the image twice from the Flowering Branches set with Colorbox Frost White on vellum and emboss with Ranger Bridal Tinsel embossing powder. Colour the back of the image with the white ink and then die cut. Shape using the Deluxe shaping kit and adhere to the centre of the frame with Art Glitter Dries Clear adhesive. Add the second dove over top and fold the wings until they stand out for depth and dimension.
Paint all the flowers and dove with the Spectum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay for a lovely sparkly finish.
Finally die cut the tag using the Luggage, Tags and Labels die and adhere to the card.
