Elegant Purple and White Easter Card

Kia ora Koutou

Easter is a wonderful time to create cards that reflect both the beauty of spring and the deeper meaning of the season. For today’s project, I’ve created an elegant Easter card featuring a gorgeous image with delicate flowers, dove and a cross with intricate die cuts to create a purple and white background. Soft sparkle and pearls add a gentle touch of shimmer that makes the design feel extra special.

The combination of rich purples, detailed layers, and classic embellishments gives this card a peaceful and uplifting feel—perfect for sending Easter blessings to someone special.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Design Inspiration

Purple is a colour often associated with reflection and faith, which makes it a beautiful choice for an Easter card. I paired a beautiful and pattern paper featuring a cross, flowers and a dove with layered decorative dies to create depth and texture. A hint of sparkle catches the light, while pearls add a timeless finishing touch.

Design Details

  • Colour Palette: purples and white for a soft fresh look
  • Background: Decorative white frame to contrast with the purple base
  • Easter Theme: Use a meaningful Easter image as the focus for your Easter themed card
  • Sentiment: Die cut in purple to coordinate with the soft purple tones of the image and with the purple and white background
  • Finishing Touches: Keep embellishments minimal — pearls to highlight the decorative frame background and soft sparkle on the beautiful florals and highlight the halo around the cross.

Step-by-Step

1. Create the card base
Start with a white card base and add a panel of purple card stock to give the design contrast.

2. Add decorative die layers
Cut several decorative dies in white cardstock and layer them to create an elegant frame for the focal design. Use foam strips to add more depth and dimension to the background.

3. Prepare the centre panel
Die cut the decorative square panel from white card stock. Then die cut the image out using the inner square die before layering with some soft purple cardstock, then add to the decorative panel. Adhere this to the centre of the decorative base using foam squares to make the Easter theme prominent.

4. Add the sentiment
Die cut the Happy Easter sentiment out of purple and white card stocks and then stack together with the purple on top. Adhere to the panel as shown.

5. Add sparkle
Lightly touch the flowers and the halo around the cross with a glue that dries clear and then sprinkle with some fine iridescent glitter for a subtle sparkle.

6. Finishing touches
Complete the card with pearls placed on the decorative background die.

Finishing Touches

Small details make a big difference. A few well-placed pearls, a hint of sparkle, and soft dimensional layering help bring the whole design together while keeping the card refined and elegant.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card combines faith, elegance, and the beauty of spring. The purple florals and delicate sparkle frame the cross perfectly, creating a peaceful Easter design that feels both meaningful and uplifting.

Springtime Easter Gatefold Card with Soft Pastel Florals and Beautiful Easter Papers

Kia ora Koutou

Spring is such a beautiful season for cardmaking, and today I’m sharing a sweet Easter gatefold card filled with soft pastel florals, beautiful Easter themed papers, and delicate decorative dies. The gentle colours and layered details create a design that feels fresh, light, and full of springtime charm.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Design Inspiration

I love using a gatefold card base for special occasions because it creates a lovely sense of anticipation when the card is opened. For this design, the front panels meet in the middle and are decorated with soft floral die cuts and a beautiful soft Easter floral image which carries over the inside of the card where the sentiment is becomes the focus using a die cut decorative frame over a pretty Easter themed paper.

Design Details

  • Colour Palette: Spring pastels—think soft pinks, pale yellows, minty greens, and delicate blue tones. These shades work beautifully together and help create that fresh Easter garden feel.
  • Background: Decorative dies add elegance and dimension, while pastel florals and foliage give the card a soft, handcrafted look.
  • Florals: Handcrafted blooms with gentle shaping
  • Sentiment: Simply stamped with a decorative frame for a focus point.
  • Finishing Touches: such as pearls or a subtle shimmer—can really elevate the design and give it that extra special feel

Step-by-Step

1. Create the Card Base
Start with a gatefold card base by adding two side panels created by using a special gatefold die from white cardstock and adding to a base card so the two front panels meet in the centre. Add a pretty Easter themed paper to the inside centre of the gatefold card and to the front oval centre panel.

2. Add Decorative Layers
Use decorative or lacy dies to cut panels for each gatefold flap. Back them with some pretty pastel Easter floral paper before attaching them to the front panels for an elegant base.

3. Build the Floral Clusters
Die cut several flowers and leaves in soft pastel colours. Layer them slightly for dimension and arrange them around the centre opening.

4. Create the Focal Detail
Add a small decorative circle, label, or frame on the inside of the card where the two panels meet. This holds an Easter sentiment and acts as a beautiful focal point.

5. Finishing Touches
Add pearls to the decorative panels and centre of the flowers and then add some micro-fine glitter to the flowers on the front oval panel for some subtle sparkle for a soft elegant finish. I have used a pearl card for the decorative panels and on the centre frame to create some subtle shimmer and contrast.

This card would be perfect for sending Easter wishes, displaying on a spring table setting, or even tucking into an Easter basket for someone special.

Final Thoughts

This Easter gatefold card is such a fun way to celebrate spring. The combination of soft florals, pretty Easter themed paper and subtle pastel colours creates a cheerful design that feels both elegant and playful. Gatefold cards always feel a little extra special, and they’re a lovely way to make your Easter greetings stand out.

Amazing Easter Wishes

Easter is just around the corner and I have another Easter card to share with you today made using the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motifs Etched Dies from the Seasonal Motifs collection by Becca Feeken. This card was so quick and easy to create as I had everything I needed in this die set from flowers and leaves to the sweet little rabbit. All I needed was to add a butterfly and a gorgeous layering die and I was done! Easy Peasy!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project Today

I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card and layered the largest hemstitch rectangle die from the Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies with a gold background to the front of the card. I have then created the label from the Spring Label Motifs Etched Dies using a combination of yellow, gold and white cardstocks for a pretty base for the embellishments. I have coloured white cardstock with Saltwater Taffy, Kitsch Flamingo, Frayed Burlap and Tumbled Glass inks and die cut the flowers out before assembling them. I have used green cardstock for the leaves and yellow cardstock for the centres of the blue flowers. I die cut the rabbit out with some cream cardstock from my stash and sponged the edge with Frayed Burlap ink. I then added the flowers and leaves to the bottom left of the label and added the rabbit which has been shaped lightly and added it to the card using foam squares.

A sweet butterfly from the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters Etched Dies and the sentiment from the Merry Everything Etched Dies completed my card.

Easter Lilies

Today I am sharing an elegant clean and simple Easter card with you. I recently purchased this gorgeous Nellie’s Choice embossing folder called Cross with Lilies. This folder is so pretty and does not need many embellishments and today I have used it for an Easter card but it could be used as a sympathy card instead.

My Project Today

My card base is 5 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ – slightly larger than a normal A5 card so that I could create some layers behind the embossed layer. I have handmade some lilies using the Garden Lily flowers from Heartfelt Creations out of Rajni Chawla’s flower shaping paper. The leaves behind it are from the Creative Expressions Finishing Touches – Leafy Branches. The sentiment is from Amazing Paper Grace Merry Everything Words Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken.

To finish the card I have dusted the flowers with some glitter after painting the flowers with a clear gloss gel medium.

Die cut an oval out of a panel from the paper collection using the second largest plain edge die from the hCD1-7156 Eyelet Ovals & Basics Die – Small and using the previously cut panel adhere the oval to the centre of the card. Adhere the panel to the front of the card with scrap heavy cardboard. Die cut two decorative dies and the lace edge from the HCD1-7211 Decorative Pocket Accents Die set out of white cardstock. Add Frosting Powder with spray adhesive and adhere the decorative dies to the panel as shown.

Stamp the branch images from the HCPC-3775 Flowering Dogwood & Doves Stamp and the HCPC-3774 Flowering Dogwood Branches Stamp in Magenta Hue ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Using the stack and store daubers colour the flowers with Magenta Hue ink, the leaves with Leaf Green ink and the branches with Coffee ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Sponge the edges of the flowers with Cactus Flower ink. Add Crystal Clear glitter to the images using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge, trim and adhere on the top left draping over the oval.

Stamp the dove images from the HCPC-3775 Flowering Dogwood & Doves Stamp in Jet Black ink on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. Sponge the edges with Shadow Grey ink and the tail feathers with Magenta Hue and Cactus Flower inks. Add Frosting Powder with Dries Clear glue on a sponge and adhere to the top right and bottom left of the oval over the flower images.

Sponge the centres with Vivid Chartreuse ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Sponge the edges of the flowers with Cactus Flower ink and shape using the 3D Floral Basics Mold. Assemble and add Frosting Powder to the flowers using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge. To make the stamens, die cut the stamens from the HCD1-7129 Flowering Dogwood Die out of the Honeydew card. Wrap these stamens around the green bead stamen and secure with Dries Clear glue. Add Dries Clear glue to the tips of the card stamens and then dip into the Lettuce Entertain You Prills. Pierce the centres of the flowers and thread the stamens through. Trim the ends of the wires once the glue is dry and add the flowers to the card as shown over the branches and under the doves.

To finish, add Ultrafine Crystal Glitter to the background images.

Double Easel Easter Card

Welcome back.

Today I am featuring a double easel card using the Flowering Dogwood collection.  I think the white embossing makes it look like there is snow on the flowers and branches.

Materials Used:

Cardstock – Bazzill White Smooth, Heartfelt Creations Vellum

Paper – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood

Stamps – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood Branches

Dies – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood Branches, Luggage and Tags, Spellbinders Decorative Label Eight, Labels Eight

Inks – Memento Lilac Posies, Bamboo Leaves, New Sprout, Colorbox Dark Brown, Frost White

Ranger White Embossing Powder

Prills – Lettuce Entertain You

Art Glitter Ultrafine Glitter – Crystal

Art Glitter dries Clear Glue

Dove Blender pen

Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Shaping Kit

Instructions:

To make the easel fold a piece of white cardstock in half and use the largest die from the Decorative Labels Eight set place over the folded card with the long edge just over the fold.  Do the same with the smallest die.  This creates the hinge.  Score along the center of one side of the hinged card and fold it toward the centre to create the easel. Die cut a single decorative label eight die of both sizes. Add to the front of the easels.  Die cut the coordinating size die from the Labels Eight set using the grey paper from the Flowering Dogwood papers and adhere to the front of the hinged die cuts.  Adhere the smaller hinged card to the front of the larger hinged card to create the double easel.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the Flowering Dogwood and Flowering Dogwood & Doves sets with Colorbox Frost White ink and emboss with Ranger White embossing powder on vellum.  Heat set and then colour the back of the images with New Sprout and Lilac Posies.   Die cut the flowers and touch the edges with the Lilac Posies.  Follow the same procedure with the leaves but colour the back with Bamboo Leaves before die cutting.  Use the Deluxe Shaping Kit shape the flowers and leaves.

Stamp the Flowering Dogwood branches from the Flowering Dogwood & Doves stamp using Colorbox Frost White ink and emboss with Ranger white embossing powder on vellum twice.  After heat setting colour the back of the image.  I have used a Dove blender pen to colour the branches with the dark brown ink and to put a touch of Lilac Posies on the flowers and Bamboo Leaves on the leaves.  Due cut and use the Deluxe Shaping kit to shape the leaves and flowers.

Adhere the branches to the front of the back hinged card and add the extra flowers and leaves.

Die cut the Easter Greeting tag and adhere to the front hinged card.  Add flowers on the left side as shown.  Cut a small piece of white card ½” x 1” and adhere to the base of the front to hold the easel in place.  Add the flowers and leaves as shown.  Finish off with adding crystal glitter to the flowers and leaves for some sparkle.
