Happily Ever After by Sue Wilson

Welcome back

I had a lovely but very busy weekend at the Wellington Paper Arts and Crafts Show.  I met lots of new people and friends to share my love of paper crafting.

This week I am featuring some Sue Wilson dies from Creative Expressions.  I now have a range of these dies available at Gift Hutt and I think they are elegant and very versatile.

The dies I am using are the Lattice Frame and the Happily Ever After die sets.  I love the look of stitching and the Lattice Frame die is just beautiful and can be used for so many things.  I have made three different sized cards using this die set.

First up is the smallest card using the beautiful pearlised cardstock from Worldwin (it is hard to photograph the finish of this card).  I love cream on cream and this card is so elegant for a wedding.  I have cut two layers of the sentiment to help it stand out as this cardstock is quite light weight.

This second card is the medium size die and I have layered the same lovely cream cardstock with a pearl lavender cardstock which I can no longer get from Rosies Studio.  I love the combination of the colours here.

Finally this is the largest size card and I have changed it around a bit and added a Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret rose for a very versatile card.

A Little Tattered Blossoms

Welcome Back

I am busy getting samples ready for the Wellington Paper Arts and Crafts Show next weekend in Porirua, Wellington.  I have now got a wide range of Heartfelt Creations and Spellbinders products for sale along with Memento inks, Art Glitter adhesives and a lot more.

Here is a card that I have made using a Spellbinders die – Majestic Twenty-Five Labels and the Heartfelt Creations Tattered Blossoms cling stamp and die set.  I am really pleased with my flowers and they remind me of the Sweetheart Rose or Cecile Brunner with the soft pink colour and blown petals.

Tutorial on making these flowers:

Stamp a range of different size flowers using Memento Angel Pink ink.  Die cut them out.

Use a misting spray bottle lightly spray the back of the die cuts with water.

I used my stylus from the Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Shaping Kit to shape the petals over and squeeze the ends.  It is hard to show what I did with a still photo but I did not use the slot in the stylus – I bent the petals over the stylus.  For the very small flowers I just squeezed each petal.

I then pressed in the middle to create a bowl shape.

I then let the flowers dry thoroughly before putting them together.

Here is the sequence I have used for the medium flowers.  I have used Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive to put these flowers together.
