I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with family and friends. I had a lovely quiet Christmas and am now relaxing before heading into the New Year.

I have some more Floral Baskets inspiration for you today from Heartfelt Creations. Once again I have coloured my images with alcohol markers and this time I have added some pretty dimensional flowers for something a little different.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 5” x 7”.  Cut a piece of dark teal pattern paper  4 7/8” x 6 7/8” and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut the outer frame using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7424 Rectangle Filigree Frame Die out of gold cardstock and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut the inner panel out of medium teal pattern paper using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7424 Rectangle Filigree Frame Die and adhere inside the gold frame.  Die cut the medium decorative frame using the No. 2 die from the HCD2-7424 Rectangle Filigree Frame Die out of gold cardstock and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut the inner panel using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7424 Rectangle Filigree Frame Die out of light teal pattern paper and adhere to the front of the card.

Stamp the basket and handle image from the HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set and a small floral spray from the HCPC-31010 Basket Blooms Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly paper.  Colour the images using alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Adhere the basket to the front of the card using foam tape.  Adhere the floral spray over the basket with foam tape as shown and then adhere the handle over the flowers as shown.  Add the handle to the basket.

Stamp the ribbon bow from the HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol friendly paper.  Colour with alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere the bow to the basket as shown.

Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3847 Celebrate Love Sentiments Cling Stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink on light blue pattern paper.  Die cut using the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags Die set and adhere to the top left of the flowers and basket as shown.

Stamp the leaves from the HCPC-3887 Wild Aster Cling Stamp set in English Ivy ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Colour the leaves with Leaf Green ink and die cut with the coordinating die. Colour the backs of the leaves with Leaf Green ink and shape using the medium golf tool.  Add Crystal Clear glitter with clear gloss gel medium with a paintbrush  to the leaves and trim and adhere around the base of the basket.  

Stamp the flower images from the HCPC-3887 Wild Aster Cling Stamp set in Sunflower ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper,  Colour the centres of the flowers with Leaf Green ink and the petals with Buttercream ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the backs of the flowers with Buttercream ink and shape using a medium golf tool.  Assemble using two of the same size flowers.  Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel medium with a paint brush and add Go Man Go Prills to the centres of the flowers and Lettuce Entertain You Prills around the yellow Prills.  .

Stamp the flower images from the HCPC-3985 Dragonfly Florals in Medium Spruce ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Colour with Light Spruce ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel medium with a paintbrush.  Add I Cannot Tell a Lilac Prills to the flowers, trim and adhere around the daisies and leaves.

Stamp the small flower images from the HCPC-3954 Clematis Cling Stamp set in Rose Bud ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Colour the flowers with Rose Bud ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the back lightly with Rose Bud ink and shape using a medium golf tool.  Add Crystal Clear with clear gloss gel medium and a paintbrush and Go Man Go Prills to the centres.  Adhere around the daisies as shown.

An Amazing Paper Grace Noel Christmas Card

Merry Christmas – or Meri Kerihimete as spoken here in New Zealand

I have the last of my Christmas cards using the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace The Christmas Flourishes Collection. I love this gorgeous frame and embellishments from the Amazing Paper Grace Noel Mini Slimline Frame Etched Dies from the Christmas Flourish Collection by Becca Feeken. And once again I have used a non-traditional colour scheme of silver and blue with some very pretty pale blue poinsettias and some stunning holly leaves in green.

Today’s creations were made with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.



My Project for Today

For my card I have created a 5″ x 7″ base and used dark blue and silver layers with a pale blue embossed layer using the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish 2D Embossing Folder on the top. I have added some extra decoration using a frame from the Spellbinders Layering Mini-Slimline dies and a decorative flourish from the Amazing Paper Grace A2 Filigree Marquis Etched Dies. I have backed the pinhole frame with silver cardstock and added it to a plain pale blue background with foam tape aand then was added over the background decorative elements. The sentiment and flourish has been added to the centre of the frame and to finish I have added some holly made using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Noel Mini Slimline Frame Etched Dies around the flowers. This card was so quick and easy to put together.

I have die cut two sentiments and flourishes – one in silver and one in dark blue. I have adhered them together slightly offsetting the silver over the blue for the sentiment to pop in the centre of the frame.

I have added some glitter to the flowers using clear gloss gel medium on a paintbrush to go along with the iridescent gems for some Christmas sparkle.

The flower centres of the Amazing Paper Grace Noel Mini Slimline Frame Etched Dies were perfect to go with the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Poinsettia Etched Dies Etched Dies. The soft yellow was perfect with the pale blue poinsettias.

I have some more Wednesday Inspiration from Heartfelt Creations for you today. I have another basket of flowers from the Floral Baskets collection to share with you. I have coloured the flowers and basket with alcohol markers and then placed them on a beautiful base featuring one of my favourite oval dies – HCD2-7382 Simply Classic Oval Frame Die. The papers are just so pretty in this collection. I love the soft florals and colours used in these papers and they really make a lovely background for the coloured images.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 5” x 7”.  Cut a piece of floral pattern paper 4 ⅞” x 6 ⅞” and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut two frames using the No. 1 and No. 3 dies from the HCD2-7382 Simply Classic Oval Frame Die – one from Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and one from light green paper.  Adhere the paper over the white frame.  Die cut the outer decorative die using the Nos. 2 and 3 dies from gold cardstock and adhere to the frame as shown.  Adhere the frame to the card front with foam tape.  Adhere the oval previously cut from the frame from green pattern paper and adhere inside the frame.  Die cut a decorative oval using the Nos. 3 and 4 dies from the HCD2-7382 Simply Classic Oval Frame Die.  Add Frosting Powder to the outer decorative edge using Dries Clear glue on a sponge.  Adhere to the inside of the frame over the light green pattern paper oval.  Die cut an oval out of floral pattern paper using the No. 5 die from the HCD2-7382 Simply Classic Oval Frame Die and adhere to the inside of the decorative oval.  Die cut the inner decorative die using the No. 6 die from the HCD2-7382 Simply Classic Oval Frame Die out of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Add Frosting Powder using Dries Clear glue on a sponge and then adhere to the centre of the frame over the floral pattern paper oval.

Stamp the basket and handle image from the HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set and a small floral spray from the HCPC-31009 Basket Florals Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly paper.  Colour the images using alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Adhere the basket to the front of the card using foam tape.  Adhere the large floral spray over the basket with foam tape as shown and then adhere the handle over the flowers as shown.

Stamp the ribbon bow from the HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol friendly paper.  Colour with alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere the bow to the basket as shown.

Amazing Paper Grace Slimline Merry Christmas

Wow where has the time gone!! Christmas is next week and I have been sorting out my Christmas cards to send. I have had so much fun creating with the The Christmas Flourishes Collection – there is so much variety in this collection and so easy to mix and match the different die sets. I love a blue, silver and white combination for Christmas cards and most of my cards this year have been made using this colour combination.

Today’s creations were made with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Project for Today

Today I have made a slimline Christmas card using the Amazing Paper Grace Flourished Ornament Slimline Etched Dies. This is such a fabulous set with all the gorgeous baubles and the Fluted Classic slimline die to create a very elegant frame to add the baubles to. I have used the beautiful Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish 2D Embossing Folder from the same collection as a base for the baubles. I have hot foiled the bauble background for a shiny finish and used two different combinations of the baubles. I love the bow from the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Frame Gala Etched Dies and here I have added bows to the baubles. The holly leaves are from the Amazing Paper Grace Noel Mini Slimline Frame Etched Dies and the poinsettias are from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Poinsettia Etched Dies Etched Dies.

The sentiment is from the must have Amazing Paper Grace Happy Occasion Words Etched Dies. To finish the card I have added some pale blue iridescent gems to the centre of the flowers and on the card.

I have used the Spellbinders Essential Glimmer Rectangle Hot Foil Plate to foil the Skybright rectangle and then die cut the circles out using the circle die from the Amazing Paper Grace Flourished Ornament Slimline Etched Dies.

The sentiment has been die cut three times – two from blue cardstock and one from silver cardstock. I have stacked the sentiments together with the silver on the top and then added the sentiment to the base of the card as shown.

I have added glitter to the poinsettias for some Christmas sparkle. I use clear gloss gel medium with a paintbrush and then sprinkle Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the flowers.

A Merry Santa Christmas

Christmas has snuck up on me very fast this year and I have been busy making last minute Christmas cards using Spellbinders and Amazing Paper Grace products. I like to give my doctor and his practice some nice chocolates and a handcrafted card. It has been a very hard year for the doctors and I have always received excellent support and help and I wanted to show my appreciation for all that they have done. They were so happy with my gift.

I have been inspired by Bibiana Cameron who has created beautiful Christmas cards using Glimmer Hot Foil background plates and Amazing Paper Grace Seasonal Motifs. For my project today I have created a shaped card using the Amazing Paper Grace Rectangle Postage Edge dies and added a gorgeous background using the lovely Spellbinders Glimmering Swag hot foil plate. I created a label using the Amazing Paper Grace Winter Label Motif dies and then added a very cute Spellbinders Santa. I have finished the card using the sentiment dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Happy Occasions Dies and some glitter to Santa’s hat with some Bearly Art Glue.

I then created a separate label and added it to my wrapped gift.

Amazing Paper Grace | The Home Sweet Quilt Collection Intro Blog Hop

The new Amazing Paper Grace Home Sweet Quilt collection by Becca Feeken is just amazing!! I love all the detail that she has added to the quilt patterns to make them so pretty and feminine and I am in my element with all the lovely lace, flowers and beautiful decorative dies. I have two projects to share with you to celebrate the launch of this stunning collection.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

For my card today I have trimmed the centre star from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Windmill die set to create a focal point for a beautiful floral bouquet made using the Amazing Paper Grace Cherry Blossom Die set by Becca Feeken. This lacy star sits on a gorgeous embossed background using the Amazing Paper Grace 3D-046 Orange Peel Quilt 3D Embossing Folder. I have added a sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Quilty Hugs Sentiments Clear Stamp Set framed with pretty lace from the Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Slimline Borders by Becca Feeken to further emphasize the quilting and sewing theme.

For my second card today I have created a pretty white on white quilt with a glittery lace effect in the centre of the quilt of the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Windmill die set. I have added a sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Quilty Hugs Sentiments Clear Stamp Set to the centre of the quilt and than added some flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Cherry Blossom Die set by Becca Feeken. by Becca Feeken. This quilt sits on a gorgeous embossed background using the Amazing Paper Grace 3D-046 Orange Peel Quilt 3D Embossing Folder. I can just imagine a beautiful old bedroom with this very beautiful quilt on the bed.

I have added some glitter under the decorative pieces using some double sided sticky paper and then adding glitter over the decorative die.

I have trimmed the centre motif from the main die and used it as a base for some pretty flowers.

Floral Birthday Wishes

It is Inspiration Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations and today sees the release of the gorgeous new Floral Basket Collection. This is a wonderful collection for those who likes to colour and for my cards this month I used alcohol inks to colour all the images in a change from my usual Zig markers.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 12” x 6”, score at 6” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 6” x 6”.  Cut a piece of dark teal paper 5 7/8” x 5 7/8” and adhere to the front of the card.  Cut a piece of pale teal paper 5 3/4” x 5 3/4”.  Die cut the decorative die using the die from the HCD-7398 French Courtyard die set from Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Add Frosting Powder to the die with Dries Clear glue on a sponge and then adhere the die to the pale teal paper and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut an eyelet circle using the medium eyelet frame die from the HCD2- 7306 Decorative Circle Frames Die and adhere to the centre of the decorative die.

Stamp the basket image from the HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set and two large floral sprays from the HCPC-31009 Basket Florals Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly paper.  Colour the images using alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating dies – one full floral spray and one with the small die.  Adhere the die cut flowers to base floral spray using foam tape. Adhere the basket to the front of the card using foam tape.  Adhere the large floral spray over the basket with foam tape as shown.  

Stamp the ribbon bow from the HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol friendly paper.  Colour with alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere the bow to the basket as shown.

Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3845 Just For You Sentiments Cling Stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink on pale teal pattern paper.  Die cut with the tag die from the HCD1-7201 Ticket & Tags die and adhere under the ribbon bow with some foam tape.

To finish, add Micro Mini Pearl Beads to the leaves as shown.  Add blue iridescent jewels to the bow and the background die as shown.

Card inside

Cut a piece of dark teal paper 5 7/8” and 5 7/8” and adhere to the card inside.  Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 5 5/8” x 5 5/8” and adhere to the front of the teal paper.  Cut a piece of light teal paper 5 3/8” x 5 3/8” and adhere to the front of the white card.

Die cut a circle from the dark teal paper using the large circle die from the HCD-7398 French Courtyard die set.   Die cut the birthday sentiment using the large circle and the Happy Birthday dies from the HCD-7398 French Courtyard die set out of Duluxe Flower Shaping paper.  Adhere the birthday sentiment to the inside card.  Die cut a small circle from light teal paper using the small circle die from the HCD-7398 French Courtyard die set.  Die cut the inner decorative die using the small circle die and the decorative inner die from the  HCD-7398 French Courtyard die set.  Adhere the decorative die to the teal circle and adhere to the birthday sentiment.  Adhere a large and medium iridescent jewel to the decorative die as shown.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 8 1/2” x 9 3/4”, score at 4 1/4” along the 8 1/2” side and fold to create a base card of 4 1/4” x 9 3/4”.

Die cut the eyelet rectangle using the No. 1 die from the HCD3-7431 Slim Eyelet Rectangle Die out of gold cardstock and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut a plain rectangle using the No. 1 die from the HCD3-7432 Slim Basic Rectangle Die, score every ⅛” along the long side and adhere to the front of the gold eyelet rectangle.

Die cut the daisy border and two daisy corner outline dies from the HCD3-7434 Delicate Daisy Corner and Border Die out gold cardstock.  Die cut the daisy border and two daisy corners decorative dies using the inner and outer dies from the HCD3-7434 Delicate Daisy Corner and Border Die. Add Frosting Powder to the decorative dies using Dries Clear glue on a sponge and adhere the decorative dies over the gold outline.  Adhere the border and corners to the front of the card as shown.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3887 Wild Aster Cling Stamp Set in English Ivy ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Colour with Leaf Green ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the back of the leaves with Leaf Green ink and shape using a golf tool.  Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel medium with a paint brush, trim and add around the base of the border die as shown.

Stamp the aster flower images using Maple Yellow  ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Colour the flowers with Citrus Burst and Cotton Candy  inks and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the backs of the flowers with Citrus Burst ink and shape using a groove golf tool.  Assemble flowers with two of each size and add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel medium with a paint brush.  Add Heart of Gold Prils and a gold pearl to the centres of the flowers  and then adhere over the leaves as shown.

Die cut the sentiment out of gold cardstock using the sentiment die from the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags Die.  Die cut the backing out of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and adhere the sentiment to this.  Adhere under the asters as shown.

Add gold pearls to the centres of the daisies on the two corners and border dies.

Amazing Paper Grace December 2022 Die of the Month

I am so excited for the release of the beautiful Amazing Paper Grace December Die of the Month – Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set. This set is so beautiful and can be used in so many ways. For my projects I have made a small 4/14″ x 5 1/2″ card and some sweet envelopes to hold some gift cards. I was inspired by one of the other Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team members using the heart die to create a butterfly and here I have laid the ‘wings’ over layered dies from the small decorative rectangle dies from the Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set, Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies from the Fluted Classics Collection by Becca Feeken and the Amazing Paper Grace Postage Edge Rectangles from the Postage Edge Shapes Collection by Becca Feeken. The pretty flowers from the Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set finish the body of the ‘butterfly’. The small envelopes were very quick and easy to create and coordinate with the card very well.

Today’s creations were created with the dies supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 14 cutting dies included in the Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set.

The decorative rectangle dies were the perfect size to fit with the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies from the Fluted Classics Collection by Becca Feeken and the Amazing Paper Grace Postage Edge Rectangles from the Postage Edge Shapes Collection by Becca Feeken.

I have backed the lacy dies with pearlescent vellum to create a softer look.

I have used very small velcro dots to close the envelopes.
