Amazing Paper Grace | Stained Glass Bouquet – Fan Flower Transom

It’s a miracle that little painted shards of glass can come together to create such beauty!!  The intriguing lure of Stained Glass has inspired artisans from around the world to try their hand at shuffling colors and shuffling shards of glass to create something lovely to gaze upon.  Today we are introducing the newest Amazing Paper Grace collection called Stained Glass Floral Bouquet, created for Spellbinders.

Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Inspiration

Becca says that the inspiration for the collection came from her love of stained glass and never being able to muster the time to do it with real glass.  Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?  Now it’s easy to create with paper!  It’s amazing how you can give the same outline to a hand full of different artists and each will come up with a totally different look.

Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Collection

The Stained Glass Bouquet Collection is made up of 7 different die sets.  They are sized for layering and include small designs all the way up to A7 designs with different frames that can make both A2 and A7 designs.  The collection boasts shadow dies for each set so that whenever you don’t want a multicolor design, you can layer your “die-cut leading” onto one color.  The hallmark of the collection is a sweet stained glass flower and shadow in almost every set.  That gives you a background die and a central motif for each set.

Attention “technique junkies” this collection is sweetly serenading you to try your favorite technique with the leading and the shards.

     Here are ours:

  1. Fill each opening with a different color paper and add Glossy Accent.
  2. Ink on a hombre background before resetting your shards.
  3. A smidge of color in each opening with a Copic Marker.
  4. A different color leading – white, black, gold, silver.
  5. Build up tall leading with 4 layers and adhesive in between each.

My Project for Today:

Today I am sharing a golden wedding anniversary card featuring the gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace Fan Flower Transom Etched Dies from Stained Glass Bouquet Collection by Becca Feeken.

The flowers and leaves have been coloured with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and I have finished them with some Dries Clear glue for a clear shiny finish. The fine metal tip was great for getting into the small spaces.

I have layered Amazing Paper Grace Splendid Trilliant Etched Dies from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken, Amazing Paper Grace Picot Petite Ovals Etched Dies Picot Petite Collection from Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken and the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Ovals Etched Dies from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken.

Amazing Paper Grace April Die of the Month Blog Hop – Dahlia Dimensional Doily

This month is coming up all flowers! We turned spring up a notch and have more “unique” blooming flowers for you to try. Today I’m introducing a set of dimensional flowers in the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the month for April 2021, Dahlia Dimensional Doily.

Dies were furnished to Creative Team Members by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace.

Three new flowers. We are showcasing three new flowers! Easy, easier, easiest. Easy – Dahlia Dimensional Doily is a flower made with round disks that link together to form the base and the petals. Built on the same concept as dimensional doilies, this representation of flowers creates a focal element that has some height. Easier – One round piece in the set, with eight cut and folded circles combines to make a familiar round dimensional flower. Easiest – Sweet spiral flowers with a score line that lets you fold over and shape the spiral. Oh, and don’t forget a background that when cut twice gives you a full A2 Background.

All together the background and flowers create a sweet, layered dimensional finished card that can be made for an A2 or an A7 card base!

There are 11 dies included in the Dahlia Dimensional Doily.

My Project Today using Dahlia Dimensional Doily.

I have made a card and coordinating box/candle holder with the Dahlia Dimensional Doily dies. The card has a lacy background using the decorative rectangle dies and then I have added the 4 petal dahlia to top of the card base. I have added two layers of the eyelet edges around the edge of the petals. The rose gold metallic cardstock made a very pretty accent for the dies.

I have used the same colour scheme to create the box/candle holder made using the decorative rectangle die. I have added the pretty rolled roses to the box lid to match the card.

To complete my projects I have added silk ribbon bows and pearls.

Designer Tip:

Before rolling the flowers turn the top edges over – it makes it easier to roll the edges over when the flowers are created.

Supplies:

Paper: Bazzill Rose Gold Metallic Cardstock, Neenah Solar Crest cardstock
Ink: Ranger Archival inks – Sweet Peony, Sunflower, Leaf Green, Library Green.
