Flowering Dogwood Step Card

Welcome back.

I have been busy creating for my final Design Team submission for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team and I am happy with what I have created.  I would like to thank all those that took the time to vote for me and all the other semi-finalists and I look forward to seeing who has made it to the final team.

Today I am featuring another card that I have made using the Flowering Dogwood dies and papers again.  This collection really resonated with me and I can’t stop creating with it.  This card could be used for wedding, sympathy and christening card or baptism, and I have left the sentiment off on purpose because of it.

Materials used:

Cardstock – CTMH Colonial White

Paper – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood, Vellum

Stamps – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood Flowers, Flowering Dogwood Branches, Flowering Dogwood & Doves

Dies – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood Flowers, Flowering Dogwood Branches, Flowering Dogwood & Doves, Spellbinders Pop Ups – Happy Days

Inks – Colorbox Frost White, Memento New Sprout, Pistachio,

Embossing Powder – Ranger Bridal Tinsel

Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Shaping kit.

Prills – Minnie Pearls

Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay

Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive

Art Glitter Ultrafine Glitter – Crystal

Instructions:

Die cut the pop up base out of the Colonial White Cardstock.  Cut out the patterned pieces from a 6” x 6” patterned panel – I have used the one with the church on the bottom left.  Sponge the edges of the card and the patterned pieces with the New Sprout ink and then adhere the patterned pieces on the card base.

To make the flowers stamp the flowers with the Frost White ink and emboss with the Bridal Tinsel embossing powder.  Sponge the centre of the flowers on the back of the vellum lightly with New Sprout and die cut.  Touch the edges of the flowers with Pistachio ink and shape using the Deluxe Shaping kit.  I have layered the larger flowers and left the smaller ones single.

To make the leaves stamp the leaves with the Frost White ink and emboss with Bridal Tinsel embossing powder.  Sponge the backs of the leaves with Pistachio ink and die cut the leaves with the coordinating die.  Shape with the Deluxe Shaping kit.

Stamp the branch from the Flowering Dogwood Branches set with Frost White ink and emboss with Bridal Tinsel embossing powder.  Sponge on the back with Pistachio ink and die cut.  Shape lightly with the Deluxe Shaping kit.

Die cut a dove from the patterned paper and shape using the Deluxe Shaping kit.

Adhere the flowers and leaves as shown.  The branch has been cut to fit along the top of the card to enable easy folding.  Add the flowers as shown.  Add the dove over the flowers on the right of the card and adhere the flowers around it.

To finish add the prills to the centre of the flowers and paint the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay for some extra shine and shimmer.  Using the Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive add Crystal glitter to the dove.

Double Easel Easter Card

Welcome back.

Today I am featuring a double easel card using the Flowering Dogwood collection.  I think the white embossing makes it look like there is snow on the flowers and branches.

Materials Used:

Cardstock – Bazzill White Smooth, Heartfelt Creations Vellum

Paper – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood

Stamps – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood Branches

Dies – Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood Branches, Luggage and Tags, Spellbinders Decorative Label Eight, Labels Eight

Inks – Memento Lilac Posies, Bamboo Leaves, New Sprout, Colorbox Dark Brown, Frost White

Ranger White Embossing Powder

Prills – Lettuce Entertain You

Art Glitter Ultrafine Glitter – Crystal

Art Glitter dries Clear Glue

Dove Blender pen

Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Shaping Kit

Instructions:

To make the easel fold a piece of white cardstock in half and use the largest die from the Decorative Labels Eight set place over the folded card with the long edge just over the fold.  Do the same with the smallest die.  This creates the hinge.  Score along the center of one side of the hinged card and fold it toward the centre to create the easel. Die cut a single decorative label eight die of both sizes. Add to the front of the easels.  Die cut the coordinating size die from the Labels Eight set using the grey paper from the Flowering Dogwood papers and adhere to the front of the hinged die cuts.  Adhere the smaller hinged card to the front of the larger hinged card to create the double easel.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the Flowering Dogwood and Flowering Dogwood & Doves sets with Colorbox Frost White ink and emboss with Ranger White embossing powder on vellum.  Heat set and then colour the back of the images with New Sprout and Lilac Posies.   Die cut the flowers and touch the edges with the Lilac Posies.  Follow the same procedure with the leaves but colour the back with Bamboo Leaves before die cutting.  Use the Deluxe Shaping Kit shape the flowers and leaves.

Stamp the Flowering Dogwood branches from the Flowering Dogwood & Doves stamp using Colorbox Frost White ink and emboss with Ranger white embossing powder on vellum twice.  After heat setting colour the back of the image.  I have used a Dove blender pen to colour the branches with the dark brown ink and to put a touch of Lilac Posies on the flowers and Bamboo Leaves on the leaves.  Due cut and use the Deluxe Shaping kit to shape the leaves and flowers.

Adhere the branches to the front of the back hinged card and add the extra flowers and leaves.

Die cut the Easter Greeting tag and adhere to the front hinged card.  Add flowers on the left side as shown.  Cut a small piece of white card ½” x 1” and adhere to the base of the front to hold the easel in place.  Add the flowers and leaves as shown.  Finish off with adding crystal glitter to the flowers and leaves for some sparkle.

Centre Step Flowering Dogwood Easter Card

Welcome Back

Today I am featuring another card using the Flowering Dogwood Collection.  The flowers are just beautiful and so versatile for both cardstock and vellum.  I had done a batch of flowers in green and pink and they have done several cards including the card in my last post.  I love the combination of Memento New Sprout and  Lilac Posies as they do together really well.

Select a panel featuring the dove from the paper collection and die cut the centre oval out.  Adhere the frame to the centre step with foam tape and then adhere the centre oval in the centre of the oval.  Die cut the border from the Ornate Borders and Pockets die from white cardstock completely and adhere to the top of the centre step.

Add glitter to the dove using the Art Glitter Dries clear glue.

Add the flowers to the card as shown and die cut the tag from the paper using the tag die from the Luggage and Labels die set.
