Petite Picot Thank You Card

Amazing Paper Grace has gone back to her roots with classic sewing inspired motifs! Introducing the Picot Petite Collection!

Becca Feeken sent over these lovely dies for me to try.

Over time we’ve had lace-inspired designs and have loved the feel of Hemstitching and Candlewicking. Reminiscent of needlework and treasured handwork proudly displayed, Becca Feeken has developed another classic line of layering shapes that feel so much like tatting or picot crochet.  As you might imagine, these shapes are crisp, clean, and timeless. Whether you are simply adding a classic layer to a card or cutting an aperture to highlight a lovely sentiment – these shapes mix and match with other sewing inspired motifs as well as intricate backdrops.

Classic Shapes are Timeless

With each Classic Collection, Amazing Paper Grace creates the most popular die-cutting shapes in oval, round, square, and rectangles. Moreover, these classic shapes mix and match with Hemstitch Classics, Candlewick Classics, Elegant Twist Classics, and now Picot Petit. The Inspiration behind Picot Petite

If you’ve ever seen tatting, the little loop produced along the edge is called a “picot”.  It’s this little loop that is the basis for the border on all of the Petite Picot shapes.  They are lovely as a backdrop for any other layerings as the little picot peeks out.  It’s just a subtle way to bring in the ways of classic needlework to give texture and dimension to the backdrop of our cards.

For this card I have used the gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet Etched Dies from Picot Petite by Becca Feeken as a background and then finished it with a the small square from the Amazing Paper Grace Picot Petite Squares Etched Dies Picot Petite Collection from Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken. The sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Heart Felt Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set Sweet Cardlets by Becca Feeken. I love how a hot foiled sentiment adds such an elegant finish to a card. And of course I had to had the very elegant flourish from the Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies Candlewick Sampler Collection by Becca Feeken

These are the dies that I have used to create this card:

Cherry Blossom Retreat Birthday Card

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I am sharing a card that I have made for my husband’s colleague. The brief was the recipient loved dogs and gardening so I thought I would combine the two. I have used a combination of different collections from Heartfelt Creations to create this card – Cherry Blossom Retreat, French Cottage, Home on the Farm and Happy Camper. The numbers are from the retiring Sugarspun collection. I love how you can mix and match these collection. Can you imagine how blissful it would be sitting in the chair under the flowers and birds with all the pots of flowers and a dog to keep you company.

\

My husband loves the card and I am hoping his colleague does too.

I hope I have inspired you to create using a mix and match of collections too.

A Delicate impressions Congratulations

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back.

Delicate Impressions Details

We’re excited to introduce another Glimmer Hot Foil collection! The Delicate Impressions Collection has five sets of Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. The fifth set, Heart Melt Sentiments, has four unique phrases with matching dies. The other four sets are designed to create borders and accents that can be used on cards from A2 to 5 x 7-inches. Each elegant motif can be layered with itself or mix with others in the same collection or beyond.

Glimmer Hot Foil Plates are metal plates used in the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System to transfer foil to paper through a combination of heat and pressure.  Roll the Glimmer machine base through your die cut machine to deliver its beautiful design. Refer to Compatibility Charts on Spellbinders’ website, to see if your machine is a match.

Have you ever had times where you just cannot get the right background to showcase beautiful decorative dies and flowers? The Diamonetta Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken is perfect to create elegant backgrounds as it is expandable to fit your project. The Congratulations sentiment is from the beautiful Elegant Occasion Sentiments Glorious Glimmer Hot Foil Classic Plates by Becca Feeken and fits perfectly with the elegant image I was trying to achieve.

The gorgeous background die is the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace Etched Dies by Becca Feeken and was one of my first Amazing Paper Grace dies and one I pull out every so often as it is just so elegant for very special occasion cards.

All the flowers have been handcrafted using Amazing Paper Grace flower dies. I am really loving how the roses are turning out using the Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies Candlewick Sampler Collection by Becca Feeken dies. You can make so many different flowers from this die set and it is my go to flower die.

The small flower die is from the Cinch and Go V Etched Dies Vintage Treasures by Becca Feeken set and that is another favourite set for small filler flowers.

Colour the small plain white stamens with Vivid Chartruese ink and insert a single stamen into the centres of the flowers. Add Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the flowers using the glossy gel, trim the threads and adhere flowers over the small and large lilac flourishes and the small lilac flowers.

I hope that I have inspired you today to create using the Arrows & Banners dies in a different way.

Introducing the Amazing Paper Grace Delicate Impressions Collection

Becca Feeken sent over these stunning plates and dies for me to try.

My Project For Today

I have made a clean and simple card using the absolutely stunning Sweet Blooms Border Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken. This is such a pretty image and I loved playing with it.

I have hot foiled the image onto watercolour card and then watercoloured the image using Jane Davenport Watercolors. These watercolours are really gorgeous to work with and are clear and transluscent – perfect for what I needed here. I have finished the card with a sentiment from the Heart Melt Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken.

The gold Elegant Twist Rectangle really finishes off the image don’t you think?

Here is what the dies look like:
