Amazing Paper Grace Camellia Congratulations

I often take a lot of inspiration for my flowers and cards from nature and today’s card is no exception. We are in the midst of winter here in New Zealand and it is so lovely to see the gorgeous pops of colour from camellias in the gardens. I often take my phone out with me when I go on my walk with my cat in the mornings. This sweet camellia took my eye and it inspired my flowers today. I am not really a gardener and I am unsure of the camellia’s name but it is a very pretty little flower with just a hint of pink in it’s petals with dark green leaves to set them off. I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud dies to create these flowers and they were so quick and easy to make and the branch from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossoms was perfect to go with the leaves and flowers. And of course I cannot forget the stunning Amazing Paper Grace Picot Petite Collection that I have used to create a very decorative base for this card.

Here is a photo I took of these flowers.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have created a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base and layered gold and white cardstock to create the base for the decorative dies. I have die cut the base from the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies and then die cut the four decorative panels out of gold and white cardstock. I have adhered the white panels over the gold cardstock and slightly overlapped the for a hint of gold. These were adhered over the base and then added to the front of the card. I die cut two small circles from the Amazing Paper Grace Round Picot Petite Dies – one from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. These were adhered together with the gold under the white circle slightly offset again and I have adhered them to the front of the card. I made the branches using the branch dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry dies and coloured them with copic markers I added them to the card front and then added the foiled sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Occasions Sentiments Hot Foil Plate.

To make the flowers I have used the flower dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud dies and added them to the branches. To make the buds I have used small pointed styrofoam buds to create the shape and added the sepals from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go III flower dies. These were added on the branches as well. The leaves have been die cut out of green cardstock using the leaf dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud dies. I have added 3D Crytal Lacquer to the leaves to make them shiny like the camellia leaves and these were trimmed and added to the branches around the flowers.

To finish the card I have added a butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutter Dies made out of vellum and gold cardstock and some pink gems.

Amazing Paper Grace Stenciled Thank You Card

Today I want to show that Amazing Paper Grace dies are not just for die cutting and layering. For my projects I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Round Doily die as a stencil for ink blending. This die has such a pretty pattern and I was really pleased with how the ink blending has turned out and I was able to get two cards out of the one action which is also very pleasing.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have made a top folding base card of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ out of white cardstock. I have die cut the largest rectangle from the Amazing Paper Grace Rectangle Fluted Classics Dies set from white cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card. I then die cut the stenciled image using the next size fluted die from the same set and adhered it to the front of the card.

I hot foiled the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Occasions Sentiments Hot Foil Plate in matte gold and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I also die cut another two plain dies and stacked the dies together with the foiled sentiment on top and adhered it to the card front over the stenciled image.

I added some pink daisies left over from another card and a small butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutter Dies to decorate the card.

To finish the card I have added some pink jewels.

Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity Wedding Card

I have had the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2020 – Elegant Infinity dies for a while now and have only used the flower dies so far. So I thought I would get this set out and have a very overdue play with it. It really does live up to it’s name and it is perfect for wedding cards. I love how the layered dies give texture and drama to the card and complements the handcrafted flowers so well. And almost everything I need to make the card came from one die set!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have created a top folding base card of 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ out of white cardstock. For the card front I have used the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2020 – Elegant Infinity dies. I have layered two pieces of pearl cardstock on top with an extra layer of a heavy weight cardstock between the two to provide more definition of the layers. I cut a piece of pearl cardstock 3 15/16″ and then die cut the square out and adhered this to the plain square. I then die cut 4 corner dies from the pearl cardstock and adhere them behind the square die and adhered this to the card front with two layers of heavy weight cardstock. I die cut a plain circle and two decorative circles from pearl cardstock. The two decorative circles were stacked together and then added to the plain circle before adding the the centre of the square dies.

I die cut three sentiments from the same die set out of – two from pearl cardstock and one from silver cardstock. I stacked the three sentiments together with the silver sentiment beneath the white sentiment and slight offset it and adhered this to the card centre.

To do the floral bouquet I used some ‘ferns’ that I had made previously using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossoms Dies and laid then to the left of the card around the sentiment. I die cut the leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers die, coloured and shaped them, trimmed them and added them to the left of the sentiment. I handcrafted the flowers using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Flowers Dies and adhered them over the leaves. I had some apple blossom flowers left over that have been made using the larger flower die from the Amazing Paper Grace March 2020 Die of the Month – Elegant Infinity and they worked well with the lilies and the ferns. I then made some blue flowers using the smaller die from the same set and added then around the other flowers.

To finish I added a butterfly made from vellum and silver cardstock using the small butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutter Dies and some white pearls to enhance the decorative dies.

Amazing Paper Grace Make A Scene Rolling Along

Kia ora Koutou

I was asked to make a card for a workmate of my husband who was leaving his job for another position. I struggle to make masculine cards but Amazing Paper Grace came to the rescue. I had done a similar card to this when the Amazing Paper Grace Make A Scene collection came out so I thought I would change the colour combinations to a white and blue and make a scene with the Make a Scene Rolling Along Scene dies. The bicycle was symbolic of his workmate moving onto the next job with best wishes from the team. Apparently he was quite a keen gardener so I made lot of different flowers to decorate the card. He came up to my husband to say thank you for the card and he loved it so I was very happy.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project:

I have made a 5″ x 7″ card and added some pretty background paper to fit on the front. I die cut the frame using the outline die and the outer frame dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Facade Frame dies from white and blue cardstock. I die cut the fence from the Amazing Paper Grace Cozy Home dies in white and adhered it behind the frame as shown. I then added the frame to the front of the card with foam tape. I die cut the house out of blue cardstock and all the accessories out of white cardstock, assembled them and adhered to the centre of the card behind the fence. I die cut an extra house out of white cardstock and trimmed the hedge and base and inked them with green ink and adhered to the base house.

I decorated the ‘garden’ using flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Cozy Home Scene, Rolling Along Scene and Perfect Picture Window Scene dies and added them to the front of the house and behind the fence.

I used the bicycle from the Amazing Paper Grace Rolling Along Scene dies and added it to the bottom right with foam squares. I decorated this with leaves and flowers from the same set. I added a little dog in front of the house and a rabbit on the bottom right of the card.

To finish the card I have added the sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Bold Greetings set. I die cut two sets – one from silver and one from grey and stacked them together with the grey set behind the silver set to add a shadow and allow the sentiment to stand out more. I then added some flowers around the sentiment.
