Bless You Amazing Paper Grace

Today I have another card featuring the Amazing Paper Grace You are a Blessing Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken from the The Right Words Collection. This is such a gorgeous set with the words creating a beautiful range of sentiments to suit all occasions. I am very blessed to be part of the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team and this card is for Becca, Beth and Margie. I am so grateful for your trust and faith in me. Thank you so much!

This week’s challenge is ‘The Emboss of Me” and I have embossed a die to create a textured finish rather than an embossing folder.

Today’s projects were used with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Projects for Today

For my project today I have created a 5″ x 7″ landscape card using the Amazing Paper Grace You are a Blessing Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken as the hero. I have created a pretty base using the Amazing Paper Grace Eyelet Lace Frame Etched Dies from the Garden Shutters Collection by Becca Feeken – one of my all time favourites!! Instead of die-cutting the inner decorative die I have embossed the die instead to create an embossed texture and contrast to the pretty lacy frame. A touch of pink highlights the decorative edge inside the frame and I have also used pink for the sentiment to really pop on the card. I have added the flower motifs on the top left and bottom right of the card to balance it out. The pink flowers and green leaves in the motifs help to lift the motifs on the lacy white background.. This card was very quick and easy to put together and is ‘flat’ and perfect for regular posting.

I have stacked two layers of the sentiment – the white sentimentoffsetting with the pink sentiment to create a shadow.

I have used clear acetate to adhere the floral accents to and enable me to inlay the green leaves and pink flowers.

This close up shows the texture of embossing the inner decorative die. To complete the card I have added flat back pearls to accentuate the pattern of the dies.

These dies and plates are available from Spellbinders right now! Click here: The Right Words Collection.

Amazing Paper Grace Layered Tulips

My theme this week is Back in Black and today I have a card to share with you that features a black textured background with vibrant yellow tulips and a pretty blue die. I have not done a lot of cards with black so it was really good to challenge myself. I had a play with colour combinations and decided on black, blue, yellow and gold. Black and blue are an unusual combination but this worked for me as blue and yellow are primary colours and blue and yellow combine to make a secondary colour – green. By keeping the colours simple all the colours harmonised well I think. This combination also allows the tulips to really ‘pop’ on the card. And I have kept the gold accents to a minimum to allow the focus to be on the tulips.

I have an exclusive step by step photo tutorial on how I have created the tulips coming up on the 21st July (CST) for members of the Amazing Paper Grace – Creative Encouragement Group. Ask to join this wonderful community to view this tutorial and many other tutorials to inspire your creativity. (And don’t forget to answer the questions to get accepted. I look forward to seeing you there!).

Today’s projects were used with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Project Today.

For my card I have made a 5″ x 7″ card featuring the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace Eyelet Lace Frame Etched Dies from the Garden Shutters Collection by Becca Feeken as a frame for beautiful tulips from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Tulips Etched Dies from the Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection by Becca Feeken. I have created a textured background by using the decorative panel die from the Amazing Paper Grace Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken die cut twice and layered black on black. I have finished the card with a ‘thank you’ sentiment from the same die set.

To finish, I have added a sweet butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5 x 7″ Card Base Etched Dies from the Garden Shutters Collection by Becca Feeken

I have combined three different green coloured cardstocks to create more dimension and interest in the leaves.

I didn’t need to add any bling to this card as the tulips are the hero of the card and embellishments would detract from them.

The black decorative die on plain back cardstock makes a gorgeous texture.

I have die cut two sentiments – one gold and one black. The gold sentiment has been adhered to the black sentiment slightly offsetting it to create a shadow.

These Amazing Paper Grace Dies are available from Spellbinders right now. Click here: Amazing Paper Grace.

Amazing Paper Grace | Sweet Baby Boy

Today I have a sweet baby card to share with you made using the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken from the The Right Words Collection. I have been challenged to do a one colour ombre ink blend this week by Becca Feeken and here is my first attempt at an ombre effect.

Today’s projects were used with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Projects for Today

For my project today I have made a 5″ x 7″ card using the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken. I have kept to a simple colour combination of blue, white and yellow with a touch of silver for a very special baby card. One of my favourite Amazing Paper Grace dies is the Amazing Paper Grace A2 Radiant Navette Etched Dies from the Classically Becca Collection by Becca Feeken and I have used this die set to create a pretty base for the sentiment and flowers.

To finish my baby card I have trimmed the stork and bundle from the Amazing Paper Grace 3D Vignette Layered Bundle of Joy Etched Dies by Becca Feeken set in white cardstock and coloured this with ink and adhered to the stork to the top right and the little bundle to the bottom left of the card.

For the large ‘sweet’ sentiment I have inked a piece of blue cardstock with two different colour blue inks and then die cut the sentiment out. I have backed the blue sentiment with a piece of white cardstock slightly offsetting the sentiment. The sentiment looks like it is floating over the background dies as I have used foam strips to adhere the sentiment to the front of the card. I have repeated the same process for the ‘baby boy’ sentiment.

I have die cut the two leafy dies from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken out of white cardstock and placed them each end of the card to create more texture to the card over the embossed background.

I have kept the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken very simple so as not to distract from the sentiment dies.

I have used two different blue inks on white cardstock to create the ombre effect in the base of the medallion die.

To finish I have added some pearls in the centre of the flowers and on the background decorative dies.

These dies and plates are available from Spellbinders right now! Click here: The Right Words Collection.

A Purr-fect Happy Birthday

Kia Ora Koutou

Every so often I get the chance to have a play with all the different products in my craftroom. I was asked to make a birthday card for someone that likes cats or dogs and also loves my floral cards. So I had a lot of fun!

I had just received some amazing flower shaping paper from Rajni Chawla who is the most amazing paper florist and I am so fortunate to be working along side of her in the Heartfelt Creations Design Team and also the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team. She has developed this special paper that is light and easy to shape but is also robust. I really loved using this paper as it is easy on my arthritic hands when I shape flowers by hand.

The products I have used in this card:

Heartfelt Creations – Classic Rose Die, Wild Aster Die, Clematis Flower Die, Fancy Classic Oval Frame Die, Lattice Flourish Gateway die

Heartfelt Creations Black cardstock, Luxe Silver Cardstock

Amazing Paper Grace – Candlewick Rosebud

Spellbinders – Here Kitty

Spellbinders Embossing Folder – Diamond Plaid

Spellbinders Essential Cardstock – Rainforest, Glacier, Snowdrift

Amazing Paper Grace July 2022 Die of the Month

Today I have created a larger slimline card to show how versatile the Amazing Paper Grace Tiara Trifold dies are. And to coordinate with this card I have created a luminary than can also be a gorgeous basket for special chocolates or special treats to gift to someone special.

Today’s creations were created with the dies supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 13 cutting dies included in the Tiara Trifold.

For my 4 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ card I have die cut two of the base dies and decorated them with the beautiful trellis die. I have them trimmed them and adhered them to the front of the card and covered the join with white satin ribbon.

I have stacked three layers of the sentiment for more depth and dimension.

Pearls are the perfect embellishment to highlight the beautiful designs.

I have layered the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Classics Circles Etched Dies from the Fluted Classics Collection by Becca Feeken and the Amazing Paper Grace Picot Petite Circles Etched Dies Picot Petite Collection from Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken in the centre of the card as a base for the sentiment dies.

I have kept the flowers simple so as not to detract from the gorgeous background.

The pink and blue flowers with the green leaves compliment the white and yellow background so well.

I have die cut two pieces of two panels and I have left a small lip on the right panel to enable me to adhere the edges together to create the box.

I added some pearlescent vellum to the back of the trellis for extra strength and to soften the light from the LED candle.

I have decorated the bottoms of the luminary with flowers and leaves from the same die set.

I have finished the luminary with pearls at the top of the tiara.
