Christmas Decorations

Kia ora Koutou

Welcome back to Wednesday Inspiration at Heartfet Creations. I have another beautiful shaker Christmas card to share with you featuring the stunning Festive Christmas Collection. I had a lot of fun colouring all the images with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and layering them together to make this card.

For more details on the products I have used please visit the Heartfelt Creations Gallery here: https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/gallery/christmas-decorations

Today’s project was created with products provided by Heartfelt Creations.

Scroll down past the photos for instructions on how to make this card.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 5” x 7”.  Cut a piece of gold cardstock 5” x 7” and adhere to the front of the card.  Cut a piece of blue/green pattern paper 4 7/8” x 6 7/8” and adhere to the front of the silver card.

Die cut two decorative frames using the No. 2 die from the HCD2-7384 Fancy Classic Rectangle Die – one from gold cardstock and one from Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Adhere the gold frame over the white frame and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut an inner piece of pattern paper using the No. 2 die from the HCD2-7384 Fancy Classic Rectangle Die and adhere to the centre of the frame.

To make the shaker element, die cut a base using the outer frame die from the Ornate Window die from pattern paper.  Stamp two window frame images from the HCPC-31016 Ornate Window Cling Stamp set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock.  Colour the images with Zig Clean Colour Clear Brush Markers and die cut one entire frame including the window panes and one with the ornate header only.  Adhere the header to the base frame.  Add sequins to the middle of the base and adhere the painted image to the base using two layers of foam strips to create the shaker..  Adhere the shaker element to the centre of the frame.

Stamp the lantern, ivy, birds and holly eaves images from the HCPC-31026 Christmas Lantern Cling Stamp Set, HCPC-31027 Festive Berry & Birdies Cling Stamp Set and the HCPC-31028 Christmas Holly Accents Cling Stamp Sets in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock.  Colour the images using Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Die cut the birds and lantern separately and then adhere to the whole lantern and birds to the leaf images.  Die cut plain images using the coordinating dies and then adhere the painted images to the plain dies.  Adhere the lantern to the window frame as shown using foam squares.  Adhere the birds and holly to the top of the window, holly leaves on the bottom left of the window frame and the lantern above the leaves with pop dots or foam squares. Adhere the bird and leaves on the top of the lantern.

Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-31026 Christmas Lantern Cling Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.  Die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die and then die cut another three plain dies.  Stack the sentiments together with the embossed image on top and then adhere to the window frame as shown.

To finish, add Crystal Clear glitter randomly to the images and card using Dries Clear glue on a sponge.
