Small pearl embellishments are added to the background die and the front quilted panel allowing the card to come together and also highlight the geometric design.
Hints of gold throughout the card add warmth and sophistication without overpowering the soft colour palette. The combination of the quilted texture, intricate lace details, delicate florals, and pearls creates a design that feels classic and graceful.

Today’s Mother’s Day card combines all of those elements with a charming mason jar shaker feature, creating a design that feels both elegant and full of life.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
💡 Design Inspiration
This card was inspired by the idea of capturing flowers in a keepsake jar—like a little moment preserved just for Mum. The shaker element adds a playful twist, while the soft colours keep everything feeling gentle and meaningful.
The focal point of this card is a sweet mason jar filled with handcrafted flowers, brought to life with a shaker element that adds movement and sparkle. Tiny sequins float inside, catching the light beautifully and giving the card a soft, celebratory feel—perfect for honouring someone special.
The background is kept clean and classic with layers of silver and an embossed soft blue background while a white intricate decorative die cut frame allows the flowers in the jar and the die cut sentiment to shine. There’s something so special about a handmade thank you card—it turns a simple gesture into something truly meaningful. Today’s design is all about keeping things elegant and simple, while letting beautiful hot foiling and delicate florals do the talking.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
Design Inspiration
For this card, I wanted to create a soft and refined look with just the right touch of sparkle. By combining traditional hot foiling with the stunning effect of reverse foiling, the result is a design that feels both modern and timeless.
The Copic coloured florals add a gentle, feminine touch, while the foiled details catch the light beautifully—perfect for a heartfelt “thank you.”
Card Details
Simple soft mint green, purple and silver colour combination
Hot foiling and reverse hot foiling show for a clean and elegant finish
Copic colouring of the hot foiled flowers dictate the colour combinations used
Hot foiled sentiment mounted on foam tape finishes the card to perfection
Creating the Card
I started with a white card base and added a soft mint green panel to the front to coordinate with the colours used on the flowers to really let the foiling shine. The background was kept simple, allowing the hot foiled elements to become the focal point without overwhelming the design.
The magic comes in with the hot foiling and reverse foiling techniques. The standard foiling gives that crisp, metallic shine, while the reverse foiling creates a softer, almost ethereal effect—like a subtle glow behind the design.
Layering the coloured floral images over the foiled background adds dimension and interest, while still keeping everything light and uncluttered.
Finishing Touches
To complete the card, I added:
Subtle sparkle with purple gems for a touch of elegance
A clean and simple hot foiled sentiment to tie everything together
The result is a card that feels polished and thoughtful without being overly complicated.
Final Thoughts
Sometimes the most beautiful cards are the simplest ones. By focusing on quality techniques like hot foiling and pairing them with soft Copic coloured florals and a hint of sparkle, you can create something truly special with minimal effort.
This design is perfect for any occasion where you want to say thank you in a meaningful, handmade way.

There’s something so timeless about soft blush tones paired with the shimmer of rose gold—especially when you’re creating a feminine birthday card. Today’s design brings together delicate layers, handcrafted flowers, and a beautifully detailed decorative arch for a look that feels both elegant and special.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
Design Inspiration
For this card, I wanted to create a soft and romantic feel, focusing on a gentle colour palette of blush pinks and warm rose gold accents. The combination adds just the right amount of sparkle while still keeping the design refined and sophisticated.
The decorative die-cut arch acts as a focal point, framing the arrangement and drawing the eye inward. It’s a lovely way to add structure while still allowing all the delicate details to shine.
Building the Layers
I started with a layered background using subtle blush pattern papers combined with white and rose gold glitter card. Keeping the patterns soft ensures they don’t overpower the design but still add depth and interest.
To enhance the layered look:
Mix textures like smooth cardstock with lightly patterned paper and glitter card
Add dimension with foam adhesive between layers
Keep edges clean and balanced for an elegant finish
The result is a background that feels rich without being too busy.
Handcrafted Floral Details
The flowers are truly the star of this card. Handcrafted blooms in coordinating blush tones bring softness and dimension, while small rose gold accents tie everything together beautifully.
When arranging your florals:
Cluster flowers in odd numbers for a natural look
Vary sizes to create movement
Tuck in smaller elements or foliage to fill gaps
Positioning them around the bottom right of the arch helps frame the sentiment and keeps the design cohesive.
Finishing Touches
To complete the card, I added subtle embellishments that enhance the elegance without overwhelming the design:
A touch of rose gold glitter for sparkle
Soft highlights to catch the light
A delicate sentiment to tie everything together
These little details make such a difference and give the card that polished, finished look.
Final Thoughts
This card is a beautiful example of how soft colours, elegant layering, and a touch of shimmer can come together to create something truly special. It’s perfect for celebrating a birthday in a way that feels thoughtful, feminine, and handmade with love.
If you’re drawn to soft palettes and delicate details, this style is such a joy to create—and easy to adapt with your favourite colours and embellishments.

Soft, sweet, and full of joy—today’s shadow box card celebrates a precious new arrival with a whimsical hot air balloon scene, nestled among rainbow-coloured handcrafted flowers. The combination of soft mint, crisp white, and shimmering holographic silver accents creates a fresh and magical design, perfect for welcoming a little one.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
Design & Inspiration
For this baby congratulations card, I wanted to create something with depth and dimension—almost like peeking into a tiny dream world. The shadow box style is perfect for this, allowing each layer to build a soft, floating scene.
The hot air balloon becomes the focal point, gently “lifting” above a cloud of delicate rainbow florals. Keeping the base palette neutral with mint and white allows the flowers to shine, while touches of holographic silver add that dreamy sparkle—like sunlight catching in the sky.
Step-by-Step
1. Create the Shadow Box Base
Die cut or construct a shadow box card base using white card stock
Add an inner panel that has clouds ink blended to create a sky background
2. Build the Background Layers
Add a layer of acetate to the base layer that will go in the centre of the shadow box for extra strength and also to create more depth to the shadow box.
3. Die Cut the Hot Air Balloon
Cut the balloon elements from white and soft mint cardstock
Add holographic silver accents to panels or trims for shimmer
Tuck some white clouds behind the balloon
Assemble and adhere to the acetate panel on a slight angle
4. Add the Top Shadow Box
Die cut the oval from the centre of the top shadow box layer.
Add some acetate behind the aperture for strength and the look of a window
Die cut the decorative frame out of white and holographic card and layer the white die over the holographic die leaving the inlay pieces of the holographic layer intact
Adhere the decorative frame to the front of the shadow box.
5. Craft the Rainbow Flowers
Die cut the larger leaves out of soft mint card and lay them down to the top left and bottom right of the card front
Die cut multiple small florals out of white flower shaping paper. Colour the flowers in a soft rainbow palette
Shape petals for dimension
Assemble the flowers and then arrange them along the top left and bottom right of the card around the oval as shown
Die cut small leaves out of holographic silver card and tuck them around the base of the flowers
6. Add the Stork and Baby Accessories
Die cut the stork out of white cardstock and add some colour to the inks. Add a die cut soft mint balloon to the image and then add the stork to the bottom right of the card front.
Die cut the small feet and rattle out of soft mint card and holographic silver card and add to the bottom right of the card front.
7. Sentiment
Add a “Congrats” sentiment, die cut out of holographic silver card and white card stock. Stack the holographic die over the white die and then adhere to the base of the aperture.
8. Create the Stand for the Card
On the back of the shadow box add a small hinged card to create a stand for the shadow box
Opitional: add a sentiment inside this small card and/or allow space for writing the greeting inside.
8. Finishing Touches
Add small iridescent gems to the balloon
Optional: include tiny clouds or vellum accents for extra softness
Finishing Touches
The magic of this card really comes together in the details—the gentle shine of the holographic accents, the softness of the mint and white base, and the playful burst of rainbow florals. Each layer adds to that whimsical, floating effect, making this card feel extra special.
Final Thoughts
Shadow box cards are such a beautiful way to create something truly memorable, and they’re perfect for milestone moments like welcoming a new baby. This design feels light, joyful, and full of love—just right for celebrating a brand new beginning.

Soft pastels are always a beautiful choice for a birthday card, and today’s design combines delicate blue daisies with gentle greens and touches of gold for a look that’s both fresh and elegant.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
Design Inspiration
This card was inspired by the calming feel of pastel tones—think soft sky blues, muted mint greens, and a whisper of buttery gold. The blue daisies take centre stage, but in a much softer, more delicate way than bold florals.
The overall look is light, airy, and perfect for celebrating in a subtle, elegant style.
Card Details
Florals: Pastel blue daisies with softly inked centres
Foliage: Light mint green leaves
Accents: Touches of honey gold accents for the sentiment, butterfly and layering for a gentle shimmer
Background: A lightly ink-blended pastel wash with soft stenciling to coordinate with the soft blue daisies panel over a soft mint green base
Sentiment: A delicate gold birthday greeting
Design Tips
Ink blend the daisy petals for that soft pastel finish
Choose limited muted tones rather than bright colours to keep the look cohesive
Add soft texture with stenciling a background for the flowers to frame rather than bold layers
Keep embellishments minimal—let the softness shine
Finishing Touches
A sweet butterfly in coordinating colours and a few tiny gems add just the right amount of detail while keeping the card elegant and refined.
Step-by-Step: Pastel Blue Daisy Birthday Card
Step 1: Prepare Your Card Base
Create a white card base and add a soft mint green die cut panel with a soft, subtle pattern on the edge.
Step 2: Create the Background
Lightly ink blend your panel using soft pastel shades—think pale blue. Use masking strips for a crisp edge. Keep it very subtle so it doesn’t overpower the florals. Layer the panel with gold card before adding to the card base.
Step 3: Die Cut the Florals
Cut your daisy layers from white cardstock.
Ink blend the petals with a soft pastel blue
Add a slightly deeper blue toward the centres for dimension
Shape the petals gently using a stylus or your fingers
Step 4: Create the Centres
Die cut the flower centres and colour them with a soft yellow or warm neutral tone. You can add a tiny touch of green to coordinate with the foliage and background.
Step 5: Die Cut the Foliage
Cut leaves from the same soft mint green cardstock that was used in the background and ink blend using soft greens like sage or mint. Keep the tones light and airy to match the pastel theme.
Step 6: Arrange Your Design
Before gluing, lay out your daisies and foliage on the panel.
Start with the leaves as a base
Add your largest flowers first
Fill in with smaller florals or extra leaves
This helps create a balanced and natural-looking arrangement.
Step 7: Add Dimension
Adhere elements using a mix of glue and foam tape.
Raise some petals and flowers for depth
Keep others flat for contrast
Step 8: Add the Sentiment
Add a die cut birthday sentiment in soft gold that coordinates with the gold layering in the background.
Step 9: Finishing Touches
Complete your card with:
A few blue gems
Gentle shaping of petals and leaves if needed
A sweet butterfly using the same colours as the card
Step 10: Assemble the Card
Attach your finished panel to the card base, making sure everything is secure and balanced.
Final Thoughts
Pastel palettes are perfect when you want something gentle, feminine, and timeless. This combination of soft blue, green, and gold creates a birthday card that feels calm, fresh, and beautifully understated.

There’s something so special about creating handmade pieces for the Easter table, and today’s project is all about celebrating the beauty of spring with soft florals, delicate details, and a touch of Easter charm.
For this design, I combined a fancy fold structure with a sweet Copic coloured basket of eggs, surrounded by tulips, cherry blossoms, and daisies to create a piece that feels fresh, elegant, and full of seasonal joy.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
🌷 Design Inspiration
I was inspired by the soft colours and textures of spring gardens—think blooming tulips, airy cherry blossoms, and cheerful daisies. I wanted this piece to feel light and graceful, while still having that special “wow” factor when displayed on an Easter table.
The fancy fold design adds dimension and interest, making it perfect as both décor and a thoughtful handmade gift.
💡 Design Tips
Stick to a soft pastel colour palette for a cohesive spring feel
Use dimension sparingly to keep the design elegant, not bulky
Mix different florals for visual interest while keeping colours harmonious
Add embellishments in small amounts for a polished finish
✂️ Step-by-Step
1. Create the Base Start by constructing your fancy fold card base using heavyweight cardstock. Choose a fold that allows for dimension while still folding flat if needed. A soft white or cream base keeps the overall look elegant. Add an elegant oval die cut frame to the front to adhere the embellishments to.
2. Add Background Layers Layer your panels using coordinating pastel tones and embossed cardstock for subtle texture. Soft dry embossing works beautifully to enhance the delicate spring theme without overpowering the design.
3. Create the Basket of Eggs Stamp and colour your basket and eggs using Copic markers. Use soft pastel shades for the eggs to tie in with the spring palette, and add gentle shading to the basket for depth and dimension.
4. Create the Flowersand Foliage Die cut your florals, colour them in cheerful spring colours and then assemble them. Mix and match the greens of the foliage to add more interest and depth.
5. Assemble the Design Adhere the basket as your focal point and arrange the tulips, cherry blossoms, and daisies around the focal area and as a backdrop to the focal point. Use foam tape for more depth and dimension. Keep the composition balanced and airy, allowing each flower to stand out while working harmoniously together.Use foam adhesive to lift certain pieces and create dimension.
6. Finishing Touches Complete your project with a die cut Easter greeting in coordinating colours and adhere to the top of the decor piece. Add clear Wink of Stella to the eggs and bow on the basket for some subtle sparkle. These little details elevate the overall elegance and tie everything together beautifully.
✨ Finishing Touches
The final piece is soft, dimensional, and full of delicate detail. I love how the Copic coloured basket becomes the focal point, while the surrounding florals gently frame the design.
The addition of subtle sparkle gives it that signature elegant finish—perfect for a refined Easter table setting.
🌼 Final Thoughts
This project is such a lovely way to bring handmade beauty to your Easter celebrations. Whether displayed on your table or gifted to someone special, it captures the freshness and joy of the season perfectly.
I hope this inspires you to create your own spring-inspired Easter décor with florals, soft colours, and a little creative flair!

Easter is a wonderful time to create cards that reflect both the beauty of spring and the deeper meaning of the season. For today’s project, I’ve created an elegant Easter card featuring a gorgeous image with delicate flowers, dove and a cross with intricate die cuts to create a purple and white background. Soft sparkle and pearls add a gentle touch of shimmer that makes the design feel extra special.
The combination of rich purples, detailed layers, and classic embellishments gives this card a peaceful and uplifting feel—perfect for sending Easter blessings to someone special.
Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.
Design Inspiration
Purple is a colour often associated with reflection and faith, which makes it a beautiful choice for an Easter card. I paired a beautiful and pattern paper featuring a cross, flowers and a dove with layered decorative dies to create depth and texture. A hint of sparkle catches the light, while pearls add a timeless finishing touch.
Design Details
Colour Palette: purples and white for a soft fresh look
Background: Decorative white frame to contrast with the purple base
Easter Theme: Use a meaningful Easter image as the focus for your Easter themed card
Sentiment: Die cut in purple to coordinate with the soft purple tones of the image and with the purple and white background
Finishing Touches: Keep embellishments minimal — pearls to highlight the decorative frame background and soft sparkle on the beautiful florals and highlight the halo around the cross.
Step-by-Step
1. Create the card base Start with a white card base and add a panel of purple card stock to give the design contrast.
2. Add decorative die layers Cut several decorative dies in white cardstock and layer them to create an elegant frame for the focal design. Use foam strips to add more depth and dimension to the background.
3. Prepare the centre panel Die cut the decorative square panel from white card stock. Then die cut the image out using the inner square die before layering with some soft purple cardstock, then add to the decorative panel. Adhere this to the centre of the decorative base using foam squares to make the Easter theme prominent.
4. Add the sentiment Die cut the Happy Easter sentiment out of purple and white card stocks and then stack together with the purple on top. Adhere to the panel as shown.
5. Add sparkle Lightly touch the flowers and the halo around the cross with a glue that dries clear and then sprinkle with some fine iridescent glitter for a subtle sparkle.
6. Finishing touches Complete the card with pearls placed on the decorative background die.
Finishing Touches
Small details make a big difference. A few well-placed pearls, a hint of sparkle, and soft dimensional layering help bring the whole design together while keeping the card refined and elegant.
Final Thoughts
I love how this card combines faith, elegance, and the beauty of spring. The purple florals and delicate sparkle frame the cross perfectly, creating a peaceful Easter design that feels both meaningful and uplifting.
