I love mixing and matching new and old Amazing Paper Grace dies to create classic and elegant cards. I especially love a white on white background creating texture and dimension with decorative dies and adding a pop of colour with hand crafted flowers and a pretty butterfly. Today I am sharing a shaped easel card featuring the new Amazing Paper Grace Postage Edge Circles from the Postage Edge Shapes Collection by Becca Feeken from the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace The Postage Edge Shapes Collection. I have paired the new Postage edge dies with the older but very beautiful Amazing Paper Grace Doily Round die and added some handcrafted frilly sweet peas for a very sweet birthday card for someone special.
Today’s creations were made with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.
My Project for Today
I have created a shaped easel card by die cutting the large postage edge circle die slightly over the edge of a folded card to create a hinge. I scored the top in half and then added another large postage edge circle. I have added the decorative die from the Amazing Paper Grace Doily Round die. I have layered smaller postage edge and plain dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Postage Edge Circles from the Postage Edge Shapes Collection by Becca Feeken before adding a decorative medallion from the Amazing Paper Grace Richelieu Squaare dies.
The sweet pea flowers have been made using the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go IV flowers and Cinch
the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go III flowers dies and the leaves are from the Candlewick Rosebud die set.
The sweet butterfly is from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motifs Etched Dies from Seasonal Label Motifs Collection by Becca Feeken.
The die cut sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Etched Dies from the Classically Becca Collection by Becca Feeken and the foiled sentiment is from Spellbinders.

The butterfly has been made with vellum and I have added some Precious Platinum Nuvo Mousse to the edges and some glitter to the wings for some extra sparkle.

The sentiment has been die cut three times – twice with Snowdrift cardstock and one with iridescent cardstock. I have stacked the dies together with the iridescent cardstock at the top for extra depth and dimension.

For some extra sparkle I have added some fine crystal glitter to the flowers with clear gloss gel medium on a paintbrush. For a more realistic sweet pea look I have added tendrils to the flowers using some fine florist wire that I have wrapped around a paintbrush to create the curly ends.

The dies from the Circle Postage Edges, Round Doily, and Richelieu Square coordinated perfectly together to create beautiful layers.
