Today’s project was created with products provided by Heartfelt Creations.
Scroll down past the photos for instructions on how to make this card.
Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 7” x 8 1/2″, score at 3 1/2″ along the 7” side and fold to create a base card of 3 1/2” x 8 1/2″. Cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/2” x 8 1/2″ and adhere to the front of the card.
Die cut two dies out of white cardstock using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7308 Majestic Swirl Frame Dies. Trim the corners on one side of both dies and then adhere the dies together lining up the decorative edges to create a slimline decorative die. Cut a piece of white cardstock 2” x 7” and emboss it with the Diamond Plaid embossing folder and then adhere to the front of the long decorative die. Die cut two dies using the insert die from the HCD2-7400 Classic Companion Border die out of white cardstock and then adhere over the embossed background.
Die cut the decorative circle die from the HCD1-7271 Rounded Window Frame Die out of white cardstock and adhere to the centre of the card. Die cut a circle using the No. 3 die from the HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large Die set out of white cardstock. Die cut a decorative lattice inner using the No. 3 Die from the HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large Die Set and the lattice circle die from the HCD1-7271 Rounded Window Frame Die and adhere to the centre of the decorative circle.
Stamp the aster images from the HCPC-3889 Wild Aster Scroll & Cluster Cling Stamp set and the HCPC-3888 Wild Aster Spray Cling Stamp set in Jet Black ink on Iris Cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere the images to the bottom of the card and up the left side of the decorative circle with foam squares as shown.
Die cut three Happy Birthday sentiments from the HCD2-7338 Lattice Flourish Gateway Die – one out of silver cardstock and two out of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Stack the three dies together with the silver die on top and then adhere to the decorative circle as shown.
Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3953 Small Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp and HCPC-3943 Delightful Daffodil & Butterfly Cling Stamp sets in white pigment ink on vellum and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Die cut with the coordinating dies. Die cut plain backgrounds out of white cardstock and adhere the vellum butterflies to them. Die cut the decorative wing from the HCPC-3943 Delightful Daffodil & Butterfly Cling Stamp set in silver cardstock and then adhere to the larger butterfly. Adhere the larger butterfly to the top of the card and the smaller butterfly at the bottom left of the card as shown.
Add silver gems to the butterfly bodies and around the sentiment.
To finish, add Crystal Clear glitter to the card by randomly dabbing the card with Dries Clear glue on a sponge.
