Pretty and Delicate

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I want to share a card featuring the gorgeous Eyelet Lace die from Heartfelt Creations.  This is a very pretty and delicate card suitable for birthdays and weddings and the vellum Oakberry Lanes are the perfect touch to finish the card.

I have die cut four decorative dies and adhere two dies together for more strength.  I have also shaped the vellum flowers in the Oakberry Lane Blossoms mold and they came out well.

I hope that you get some inspiration to try this for yourself.

Die cut the card base using the outer edge of the outer die of HCD1-7248 Regal Frame & Accents Die set slightly over the folded edge. Die cut another outer edge and adhere to the front of the card. Die cut the outer decorative edge out of white cardstock and add Frosting Powder to the outer decorative edge before adhering to the card front. Die cut the inner decorative die out of white cardstock and add Frosting Powder to the lattice with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge. Adhere to the card front. Stamp the ‘thank you’ sentiment from the HCPC-3846 Thank You Sentiments set onto a piece of white cardstock in Magenta Hue ink and die cut using the plain label die. Die cut two of the inner decorative dies out of white cardstock and adhere together. Add Frosting Powder using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge to the die cut and then adhere the decorative die to frame the sentiment.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3842 Oakberry Lane Blossoms Stamp set in Forest Green ink on flower shaping cardstock. Add around the sentiment and frame as shown.

Stamp the flower images from the HCPC-3842 Oakberry Lane Blossoms Stamp set in Magenta Hue ink on the flower shaping paper. Colour the centres with Buttercup ink and the petals with Pink Peony ink. Die cut with the coordinating die and sponge the edges of the petals with Vibrant Fuchsia ink. Colour the back of the flowers with Pink Peony ink and spray with water and shape using the Golf Tools. Leave to dry and add Crystal Clear glitter to the petals with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge and Heart of Gold Prills to the centres. Add the flowers to the leaves as shown.

Thinking of You with Vellum Flowers

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I have my very first video tutorial to share with you.  I made these gorgeous flowers a couple of weeks ago and I have had a lot of requests for a video.

And here is the finished card that I have made with the flowers.

Materials Used:

Heartfelt Creations Eyelet Lace die

Heartfelt Creations Oakberry Lane stamp and die set

Papericious Vellum

Sweet Peony paper collection

Creative Expressions Aurora Sparkle embossing powder

CTMH White Daisy pigment ink

Distress Oxide inks – Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover

Golf tools

Heart of Gold Prills

Art Glitter Dries Clear

Wet Wipes

White silk ribbon

The bookatrix dies have been purchased through Aliexpress.  However, I am not terribly happy with them as they are flimsy and easy to bend out of shape.  I only got them as I am unable to purchase bookatrix dies from other companies.  I much prefer to purchase my products from the original designers so they get the benefits for all the hard work and effort they have put into designing the gorgeous products that we get to use.

I hope I have inspired you to create beautiful flowers with vellum.
