Thinking of You with Marianne Designs and Heartfelt Creations

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I have another elegant white on white card with some pretty handmade Wild Roses from Heartfelt Creations.

For this card I have layered white card on a 5″ x 7″ base and added the gorgeous Marianne Designs Die LR0236 with the centre die cut out. My Gemini die cutting machine embosses the Marianne Designs dies so beautifully. the flowers are made using the Wild Rose dies from Heartfelt Creations using Dress My Craft Soft Floral Oriental paper. I have used the leaves from the Create a Flower die set from Dress My Craft. The sentiment is from the Best Sentiments stamp set from Altenew.

I hope I have inspired you to create today.

You are the Best!

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I thought I would share a card made during our lockdown. One of my favourite stamp sets from Altenew is the Beautiful Day set and it is perfect combined with the Beautiful Heart stamp set.

This card is sitting on my desk to keep me inspired on my papercrafting journey.

To make this card I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base from white cardstock. I have cut a piece of pearlescent vellum from Lawn Fawn 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and embossed it with the Tufted embossing folder from Stampin Up and adhered it to the front of the card. I have then cut the edge using the Lawn Fawn Reversed Stitched Rectangle die and adhere to the card front.

I have stamped the images from the Beautiful Day and Beautiful Heart stamp sets with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. I have then coloured the images with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I played around with the images until I found a pleasing arrangement and then adhere to the front of the card.

To finish the card I have stamped the image from the Altenew Best Sentiments stamp set in Jet Black ink on white cardstock using the Misti. I trimmed the sentiment leaving a small white edge and then adhered to the flowers as shown with some fun foam.

I love how I can mix and match the stamp sets and be so creative with them. And I love this sentiment and why not make a card to inspire you to challenge and inspire yourself!

Sending Love and Hugs

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back.  Today I am sharing a card for everyone out there that has been impacted by Covid19.  In New Zealand we have finally started coming out of lockdown to a very different world and it is still very scary out there despite very low numbers of new cases in NZ.  I have spent the time at home working on my colouring skills and different flowers using different techniques.

I have been looking for this LR026 decorative die from Marianne Designs for some time and was thrilled when I was able to get it from E-Bay.  I know that I am going to get a lot of use with it as it is the perfect backdrop for lovely flowers.  I was inspired by Uma Didwania with her Heartfelt Creations.Wild Roses created using Dress My Craft Soft Oriental Paper.

Altenew Academy Classes – All About Layering 1 (3) Purple Roses

Kia Ora Koutou

I have been practicing my layered stamping with the Vintage Roses stamp set as part of my class at Altenew Academy (All About Layering 1) and I am getting more confident with lining up the layering stamps and getting the angles better.  I have also used some techniques from the All About Layering 4 class to add some texture and interest to the card.

To create the base for the flowers  I have cut a piece of white cardstock to create a base card 4″ x 6″.  I then cut a piece of lilac card slightly smaller on each end and adhered it to the card front.  I then cut a piece of white cardstock and die cut the ends using the beautiful Creative Edges Lace die and adhere this to the front.  I cut a piece of white cardstock and I have used textured paste  tinted with Minty Mint ink with the Deco Wallpaper stencil and then heat embossed with Bridal Tinsel embossing powder for some sparkle.  I matted this with some lilac card and then added this to complete the front of the card.

I have stamped the rose images from the Antique Roses set on Neenah Solar white card with Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet inks and the leaf images from the Antique Roses set with Minty Mint, Sweet Leaf and Green Fields inks.  I found this colour combination to work well and was very pretty.  I then die cut with the coordinating dies and layered the flowers over the embossed card.

To complete the card I have stamped the sentiment from in Jet Black ink and after trimming the sentiment I have added to the card as shown with foam tape.

I hope you like this card and I really encourage you to look at the Altenew classes.  There is always something new to learn!

Altenew Academy Classes – All About Layering 1 (2)

Kia Ora Koutou

I have been practicing my layered stamping with the Antique Roses stamp set as part of my class at Altenew Academy (All About Layering 1) and I am very happy with my progress so far.  I am getting more confident with this stamp set and I am looking to complete the class for my Altenew Educators Programme soon.  In the meantime here is another card made with this stamp set.  I love the pink and green combination I have used here.  The green really makes the pink roses pop on the crisp white background.

To create the base for the flowers I have die cut the quilted background die from Lawn Fawn out of white cardstock to fit on the white base card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  I die cut two frames using the Handstitched Accents Die from Heartfelt Creations and adhered them together before adding to the card front.

I have stamped the rose images from the Antique Roses set on Neenah Solar white card with Pink Diamond, Coral Berry, Ruby Red and Grapevine inks and the leaf images from the Antique Roses set with Firefly, Grass Fields and Shadow Creek inks.  I found this colour combination to work well and was very pretty.  I then die cut with the coordinating dies.

Before placing the stamped images on the card I die cut two ornamental frames from the Heartfelt Creations Ornamental Tags die set out of white cardstock and adhered them together.  I have then stamped the sentiment from the Antique Roses stamp set with Hero Arts embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I have then die cut the sentiment out using the inner tag die and then adhere the tag to the front of the card with foam tape.  I trimmed the leaves and placed them under the tag and then added the rose and some leaves on the top of the tag as shown.

I hope you like this card and I really encourage you to look at the Altenew classes.  There is always something new to learn!

To create the base for the flowers I have cut a piece of gold foil card to fit the white base card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  I then cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller at 4 2/16″ x 5 6/16″ and embossed using the Stampin’Up Tufted 3D embossing folder before adding it to the front of the card. I die cut two frames using the Handstitched Accents Die from Heartfelt Creations and adhered them together before adding to the card front with foam tape.

I then die cut with the coordinating dies and played around for a while to get a pleasing composition.  I have used foam tape to create more dimension with the flowers to make them pop out more.

To finish this card I stamped the beautiful image from the Best Sentiments stamp set I received from Altenew as thank you gift and heat embossed it with gold powder, trimmed it and added it to the front of the card with some foam tape.

I hope you like this card and I really encourage you to look at the Altenew classes.  There is always something new to learn!

Altenew Academy – All About Layering 4

Kia Ora Koutou

I have just completed my first class at Altenew Academy (All About Layering 4) and I was really inspired by this class with so many techniques being shown with the different flower stamp sets.  For this card I have combined several techniques in the one card.

To create the base for the flowers I have used the Altenew Halftone stencil and used some textured embossing paste and then heat embossed with the Crystal Clear Embossing Powder from Altenew.  I loved how this turned out with a lovely shiny finish.  The other advantage is that I didn’t have to wait for the paste to dry.  I trimmed this to 4 2/16″ x 5 6/16″ and adhered this to a white base card of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ with some heavy cardboard to create the base for my flowers.

I have stamped the rose images from the Antique Roses and Vintage Roses sets on Neenah Solar white card with Pink Diamond, Coral Berry, Ruby Red and Grapevine inks and the leaf images from the Vintage Roses set with Minty Mint, Sweet Leaf and Green Fields.  I found this colour combination to work well and was very pretty.  I then die cut with the coordinating dies and played around for a while to get a pleasing composition.  I used some cling wrap to transfer the images to the card front with some foam tape.

To finish this card I stamped the Thank You image from the Many Thanks stamp set in Mountain Pine ink on some white cardstock and trimmed this to add to the bottom right of the card.

I hope you like this card and I really encourage you to look at the Altenew classes.  There is always something new to learn!
