Christmas Gift Voucher Cards

Welcome back.

This week I have been busy making Christmas goodies for Gift Hutt.  I have nearly sold out of my gift voucher cards and thought I would make some more using some different techniques.  I had a look on Pinterest and found this idea using the Stampin Up top note die on this site here.  They were very quick and easy to do.

I have been going through my supplies to do a de-stash and found a packet of Kaisercraft Leaf and Twig papers that coordinated really well with White Pines, Fern and Ruby cardstock.  So I have made some card holders and also some Christmas sweet treats with them.  I have had the little stamp set for many years and it is so cute.  Unfortunately, the shop that I bought it from has just closed down.   I have used the CTMH blender pen to colour in the images for a bit of colour.

Here are the sweet treats inspired by a CTMH consultant Karen Campbell Leach using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  These were also quick to make and I have used a combination of White Pines and the Kaisercraft Leaf and Twig papers.

CTMH Australasian Blog Hop – White Pines

12063473_10153628473364808_3282609150115879752_n

Hello and welcome aboard our  Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring the White Pines paper collection. If you have arrived here from Leah’s blog Leah Cameron’s Corner  then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post

Today I would like to share with you cards I have made with these lovely papers. available until the 31st December through the Seasonal Expressions book.  There is so much versatility with these papers with a wide variety of colours and patterns.  I love the WOTG stamp set and featured this in my cards.

#CTMH White Pines

This card base has been made using the Artfully Sent cartridge and the embellishments are from the Artistry cartridge.

#CTMH White Pines

My new favourite embossing folder is the Confetti folder and here I have layered Fern and Ruby onto the embossed cardstock – it is a little difficult to pick it up in the photo.

2015-11-01 18.17.10

This colour paper is very Christmassy and I have used the new red enamel dots for the holly berries.

2015-11-01 18.06.32

Another Artfully Sent card this time using the Glacier colours for a more muted colour scheme using Fern and Glacier and the trees from the WOTG scrapbooking kit.

Finally I have made some card voucher holder cards.  I cut the base card out of Glacier cardstock and I have decorated the front with the lovely blue paper and the matching Christmas trees from the WOTG kit.

#CTMH White Pines

Here is the inside of the card.  I have cut the card holder using the Artiste cartridge at 4″ from the blue paper and adhered it to the middle of the card.  I then cut the Colonial White cardstock and decorated them with stamps from the Holiday Cheer stamp set.  I don’t normally decorate inside the cards but I had to do so here in order to have somewhere to write a greeting in it.

#CTMH White Pines

Here is another card that I have done using the same technique.  This time I have used another companies die to cut the shape on the front and then decorated with the stamps from the Holiday Cheer stamp set.

#CTMH White Pines

I cut another shape out of the Colonial White cardstock and cut it in half to place on either side of the card holder.  The white shimmer trim made a lovely accent to the card.

#CTMH White Pines

The White Pines papers and embellishments are only available until 31st December. from your CTMH consultant.  I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop,  Vandra’s blog Vandra’s Virtual CTMH Craftroom.

Time for Christmas

Welcome back

This week I have finally got into the Christmas mode getting products ready for Gift Hutt.  I have got the Cricut chirping and I am happy with the results with these cards and tags.  I have used both the Artistry and Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge to make these very cute little Santas and Teddy Santas to place on the cards and tags.

I have cut the tags from Glacier cardstock using the Art Philosophy cartridge at 3″ a and the To and From stamp is from the Scandinavian Wishes Stamp set (a retired SOTM).  I finished off with some Ruby washi tape.  I am not a big user of washi tape but I do like to use it to fill in gaps like what I have done here.

_DSC0160

This cute little Santa is from the Artistry cartridge was very easy to do.  He has been done at 2.5″ and I have coloured the base card (Colonial White) with a very pale pink copic pen which helped to have the white beard stand out more.

_DSC0159

Then I made some cards with the Santas and the White Pines papers.

#CTMH White Pines and Artistry

I wasn’t really sure about this brown paper but it does make a nice background to help pop the embellishments.  The paper pack comes with Chocolate cardstock, but I used Desert Sand instead as it coordinated better with the Santa bear.

Materials used for the tags:

Cardstock – Glacier, White Daisy, Colonial White, Desert Sand, Black, Slate, Ruby

Embossing Folder – Confetti Wishes

Spellbinders die- Lacy Squares Nestabilities 5

I have had a couple of difficult weeks and have had to make the decision to resign as a Close to My Heart consultant.  I love the products but life has thrown me a curve ball and I have had to go with it.  I will still use CTMH products (I have quite a stash now!) and will continue with this blog as I enjoy the design process.  I will try and participate in another couple of blog hops and will still be part of a Facebook group showcasing my artwork.  I have been very humbled with the lovely comments and support from the other CTMH consultants across Australasia, Canada the the United States – so a huge thank you to everyone.

I will now focus on my shop Gift Hutt and make products for sale there.

I hope you all have a good week and Happy Crafting

Patricia

Welcome back.

I hope you all had a good Christmas.  I had a lovely relaxing day and I am now getting back into crafting.

I normally use only CTMH products but the local Spotlight store had a special on Kaisercraft wood kitsets so I bought a few to have a play with.  Apart from the kitset and mod podge everything else I have used in these projects is CTMH.

I love the CTMH papers and the Yuletide Carol papers are just gorgeous and I felt fitted well with this advent calendar.  I have tried to create a picture of a living room with the stockings hung by the tree and the parcels waiting to be opened.  I have sponged all the edges with Desert Sand ink and I love how the wood has turned into an antique gold colour.  I have cut out the centre from the patterned paper and lined it up so that it would be the centre of the box.  I used the red patterned paper to line the boxes (there are a number of You Tube videos that show you how) and after sponging the edges with Desert Sand ink I modpodged them all.  The numbers came with the pack and I have sponged them all with Desert Sand ink and then using Liquid Glass adhered them to the front of the little boxes.  The Christmas tree has been cut in 3 sizes from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge in the green paper from the Yuletide Carol paper pack, and I have adhered them with foam tape to try and create some dimension.  The boxes have been made from the Artiste cartridge and I have tied them up with the metallic bakers twine.  The Santa is from the Yuletide Carol Complements that I have stuck onto some White Colonial cardstock and cut out.  I used tabs of Colonial White cardstock to adhere to the box.  The Merry Christmas is from the Artiste cartridge.

Here is another kitset this time featuring a bird on a cage.

Bird on a Cage

I have sponged the entire cage with Desert Sand ink and the edges of the bird before mod podging the sorbet coloured paper from the Seaside paper pack.  The paper went really well with some paper flowers that I had purchased last year in a special bundle from CTMH.  The large flower has been cut using Art Philospohy using the pattern from Cathy Derouche (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzs8Sc-BLO4) out of Sorbet cardstock and the edges have been sponged with Sorbet ink.  The paper flowers all coordinated so well with various shades of sorbet to a deep pink with different shapes.  I have cut the leaves from Art Philosophy in Olive cardstock and inked with New England Ivy ink and then I have shaped then before placing them on the cage.  The smaller leaves are from the paper flower packet.  I have finished off with some bling with clear sparkles and the clear sparkle flourishes.
