Framed in Gold

While New Zealand is heading into autumn, for those in the northern hemisphere spring is coming and the daffodils are bursting into colour. Today I have a gateway card featuring the Summer Garden collection from Heartfelt Creations. I love this combination of gold, yellow and blue on the card.

Instructions:

Die cut the aperture out of the first two panels of the gateway card base but using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die set. Die cut four frames out of green cardstock using the No. 1 and 3 dies from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die and adhere to the front of the first, second panel and back panel and on the back of the middle panel. Die cut three decorative frames out of gold cardstock using the No. 1, 2 and 3 dies from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die and adhere to the front of the first, second and back panels. Die cut an inner panel using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die out of light green pattern paper. Die cut a decorative inner panel out of gold cardstock using the No. 3 and 4 dies from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die and adhere to the centre of the back panel.

Stamp the daffodil images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Vivid Chartreuse ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the inners with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the outers with Pearlescent Yellow ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the trumpets with Pearlescent Yellow ink and the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and finish colouring with Tiger Lily ink on the edges of the trumpets. Shape using the coordinating mold, assemble the trumpet and adhere to a double layer of leaves. Pierce the centres of the flowers and insert one green stamen and several white fluffy stamens and secure with Dries Clear glue. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium. For the buds, crease the trumpets and add the leaf around the folded trumpet. Add the stamens and glitter as with the open flowers. Trim the stamen stems and add a small and large daffodil to the centre of the back panel as shown.

Stamp the floral spray image from the HCPC-3945 Delightful Daffodil Spray Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour the images with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere to the top of the front of the card as shown.

Stamp the hyacinth images from the HCPC-3944 Delightful Daffodil & Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour the images with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Adhere to the sides of the front of the card as shown.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium and then adhere the small butterflies to the daffodils as shown.
