Spring is coming out for many people in the world and the flowers are starting to bloom and the butterflies are starting to emerge. This birthday card for Heartfelt Creations is inspired by a garden of flowers with hovering butterflies.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 12” x 6”, score at 6” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 6” x 6”. Cut a piece of silver cardstock 6” x 6” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of purple pattern paper 5 7/8” x 5 7/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of pale purple pattern paper 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4”. Die cut the decorative frame out of silver cardstock using the No. 2 and No. 3 dies from the HCD1-7283 Courtyard Elegance Die set. Using the decorative die as a template die cut the circle from the pale purple paper and then adhere this behind the decorative die. Adhere this to the front of the card with two layers of heavy cardstock.

Stamp the fern and flower images from the HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set in Vivid Chartreuse ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the flowers with French Ultramarine and Buttercup inks. Finish colouring with colour pencils and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Ultrafine Crystal glitter to images with clear gloss gel medium. Trim and adhere to the centre of the frame.

Stamp the zinnia images from the HCPC-3923 Large Zinnia Cling Stamp set and HCPC-3924 Small Zinnia Cling Stamp set in Violet ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the centres with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the petals with Pretty Petunia inks and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the edges with Cactus Flower ink and the backs with Pretty Petunia ink and shape using the coordinating molds. Assemble and add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel. Pierce the centres and insert the purple pearl stamens and green rock candy stamens and add glue to fasten. Once dry trim the threads and adhere to the card as shown.

For the buds, stamp the small flower images from the HCPC-3923 Large Zinnia Cling Stamp set in Library Green and Violet inks. Colour the green images with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the purple images with Vivid Chartreuse and Pretty Petunia inks and die cut with the coordinating die. Colour the back of the green petals with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the purple flowers with Pretty Petunia ink. Colour the edges of the purple flowers with Cactus Flower ink and then shape with the coordinating mold. For the open bud, assemble with two purple petals and one green petal and insert the purple and green stamens. For the closed bud, assemble one purple and one green flower. Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel and then adhere around the bigger flowers as shown.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3923 Large Zinnia Cling Stamp set and HCPC-3924 Small Zinnia Cling Stamp set in Library Green ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour with Vivid Chartreuse ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and shape using the coordinating molds. Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel and then adhere around the flowers as shown.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set and HCPC-3953 Small Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Ultrafine Crystal glitter using Dried Clear glue on the accents and small clear sparkles. Adhere to the card as shown.

Stamp the birthday sentiment from the HCPC-3843 Special Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp set in Jet Black ink on the tag in the paper collection. Die cut with the coordinating die from the HCD1-7202 Album Tags & Accents Die set and adhere to the bottom left.

While we are heading into Autumn here in New Zealand around the world daffodils are starting to pop their heads out in gardens. I have another bright and cheerful card to share with you featuring some daffodils.to show your appreciation to someone special.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 12” x 7”, score at 6” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 6” x 7”. Cut a piece of gold cardstock 6” x 7” and adhere to the card front. Cut a piece of pattern paper 5 7/8” x 6 7/8” and adhere to the card front. Die cut two pairs of corner decorative dies from the HCD1-7213 Elegant Pocket Accents Die set in gold cardstock and adhere to the four corners of the card as shown. Die cut four large decorative accents dies from the HCD1-7213 Elegant Pocket Accents Die set – two from white cardstock and two from gold cardstock. Adhere the white dies over the gold dies offsetting slightly to show the gold card. Adhere to the front of the card as shown. Die cut a decorative oval die from the HCD2-7307 Royal Elegance Frame Die set using the No. 3 die and adhere to the front of the decorative dies. Cut an oval using the No. 2 die from the HCD1-7156 Eyelet Ovals & Basics – Small die set out of white cardstock. Emboss using the Tufted embossing folder and adhere to the front of the oval.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3930 Floral Shoppe Fillers Cling Stamp Set in Vivid Chartreuse ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the stems with Vivid Chartreuse ink and add Snow White Flower Pearls to the outer leaves and adhere to the front of the oval.

Stamp the daffodil images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Vivid Chartreuse ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the inners with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the outers with Pearlescent Yellow ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the trumpets with Pearlescent Yellow ink and the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and finish colouring with Tiger Lily ink on the edges of the trumpets. Shape using the coordinating mold and assemble the trumpet and adhere to a double layer of leaves. Pierce the centres of the flowers and insert one green stamen and several white fluffy stamens and secure with Dries Clear glue. Finish the flowers by adding floral tape to the stamen stems. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium. For the buds crease the trumpets and add the leaf around the folded trumpet. Add the stamens and glitter as with the open flowers. Add a large and small daffodil and two buds to the front with hot glue gun.

Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3845 Just for You Sentiments Cling Stamp Set in embossing ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Die cut using the small rectangle die from the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags die set. Die cut the decorative die from the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags that coordinates with the rectangle die and trim off the decorative edge. Adhere the sentiment to the gold card and add the decorative edges to the edge of the sentiment as shown. Adhere to the card as shown with foam tape.

Summer’s Garden Mother’s Day Card

Today I have a gorgeous Mother’s Day to share with you made with the beautiful Summer’s Garden collection from Heartfelt Creations. These pink hyacinths will be sure to please your mother on Mother’s Day. And they are so easy to make!

Instructions:

Cut a base card of 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 5” x 7”. Cut a piece of gold cardstock 5” x 7” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of pattern paper 4 7/8” x 6 7/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut the frame out of gold cardstock using the Nos. 1 and 2 dies from the HCD2-7192 Intricate Swirls Frame Die set. Adhere the outer frame to the front of the card using foam tape. Adhere the inner decorative die inside the frame.

Stamp the large hyacinth images from the HCPC-3948 Fragrant Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set with Magenta Hue, and Library Green inks on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the flowers with Pink Peony ink and the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse and Library Green inks and die cut with the coordinating die. Stamp the small flower images from the HCPC-3948 Fragrant Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set in Magenta Hue ink. Colour the images with Pink Peony ink and colour the centres of the flowers with Magenta Hue ink and then die cut with the coordinating die. Colour the backs of the pink flowers with Pink Peony ink and shape using the coordinating mold and adhere to the larger flower. Add Crystal Clear glitter to the flowers using gloss gel medium and add Hot Mamma Prills to the centres of the flowers and adhere a small and large hyacinth to the bottom left corner of the frame.

Stamp the Mother’s Day sentiment from the HCPC-3846 Thank You Sentiments Cling Stamp Set in Magenta Hue ink on light green pattern paper. Die cut out using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7192 Intricate Swirls Frame Die set. Die cut the inner decorative die using the Nos. 3 and 4 dies from the HCD2-7192 Intricate Swirls Frame Die set out of gold cardstock and adhere to the top right of the card as shown with foam tape.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium and then adhere the small butterfly to the sentiment as shown.

To finish, add a pink ribbon bow to the base of the flowers and add a small gold gem to the bow as shown.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 5” x 7”. Cut a piece of gold cardstock 5” x 7” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of pattern paper 5 7/8” x 6 7/8” and adhere to the front of the gold cardstock. Die cut the decorative die out of gold cardstock using the Nos. 1 and 2 dies from the HCD2-7328 Lattice Swirl Gateway Die and adhere to the front of the card.

Stamp the urn image from the HCPC-3931 Large Floral Urn Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere to the front of the card as shown with foam tape in the centre to create some dimension.

Stamp the hyacinth images from the HCPC-3948 Fragrant Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set with Vivid Chartreuse and Library Green inks on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the green flowers with Pearlescent Yellow and the purple flowers with Shaded Lilac ink and the leaves Vivid Chartreuse and Library Green inks and die cut with the coordinating die. Stamp the flower images from the HCPC-3948 Fragrant Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set in Violet and Vivid Chartruese inks. Colour the green images with Pearlescent Yellow inks and Vivid Chartreuse ink and the purple flowers with Shaded Lilac and Violet inks and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the green flowers with Pearlescent Yellow and the purple flowers with Shaded Lilac ink. Shape using the coordinating mold and adhere to the larger flower. Add Lettuce Entertain You Prills to the purple and green flowers. To finish the flowers, add Crystal Clear glue to the flowers with gloss gel medium. Add two green hyacinth flowers and two purple hyacinth flowers to the urn as shown.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3939 Cottage Tree-scapes Cling Stamp set in Library Green ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour with Vivid Chartreuse ink and die cut with the coordinating die. Shape lightly and add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium and add around the flowers and urn as shown. Add some spare green and purple flowers to the base of the urn.

Die cut the base of the tag using the outer die from the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags Die out of purple pattern paper. Die cut the inner sentiment out of gold cardstock using the inner die and adhere over the purple paper. Ahere to the urn using fine hemp twine as shown.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium and then adhere the small butterflies to the flowers as shown.

While New Zealand is heading into autumn, for those in the northern hemisphere spring is coming and the daffodils are bursting into colour. Today I have a gateway card featuring the Summer Garden collection from Heartfelt Creations. I love this combination of gold, yellow and blue on the card.

Instructions:

Die cut the aperture out of the first two panels of the gateway card base but using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die set. Die cut four frames out of green cardstock using the No. 1 and 3 dies from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die and adhere to the front of the first, second panel and back panel and on the back of the middle panel. Die cut three decorative frames out of gold cardstock using the No. 1, 2 and 3 dies from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die and adhere to the front of the first, second and back panels. Die cut an inner panel using the No. 3 die from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die out of light green pattern paper. Die cut a decorative inner panel out of gold cardstock using the No. 3 and 4 dies from the HCD2-7337 Teardrop Lattice Gateway Die and adhere to the centre of the back panel.

Stamp the daffodil images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Vivid Chartreuse ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the inners with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the outers with Pearlescent Yellow ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the trumpets with Pearlescent Yellow ink and the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and finish colouring with Tiger Lily ink on the edges of the trumpets. Shape using the coordinating mold, assemble the trumpet and adhere to a double layer of leaves. Pierce the centres of the flowers and insert one green stamen and several white fluffy stamens and secure with Dries Clear glue. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium. For the buds, crease the trumpets and add the leaf around the folded trumpet. Add the stamens and glitter as with the open flowers. Trim the stamen stems and add a small and large daffodil to the centre of the back panel as shown.

Stamp the floral spray image from the HCPC-3945 Delightful Daffodil Spray Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour the images with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere to the top of the front of the card as shown.

Stamp the hyacinth images from the HCPC-3944 Delightful Daffodil & Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour the images with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Adhere to the sides of the front of the card as shown.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3947 Spring Daffodil Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Clear glitter with gloss gel medium and then adhere the small butterflies to the daffodils as shown.
