Save the Date Wedding Invitation Using Amazing Paper Grace Dies

Kia ora Koutou

We are in the middle of the summer wedding season here in New Zealand and today I have a special card that is also a Save the Date invitation that can be kept as a special memento for the wedding album. Most wedding planning etc is done online and I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Classic Elegance Tall Pocket to create a pocket for an Save the Date invitation using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator with the dates on the back. I have used sweet blush and pink tones for the card front and the invitation. The flowers are from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms. I absolutely love the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Sampler Collection dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Etched Dies was perfect for the top of the invitation.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My card base is 5″ x 7″ and I have matted gold and Barely Peach card on the card front. I then cut another piece of Barely Peach card slightly smaller and embossed it with the Amazing Paper Grace Orange Peel 3D Embossing Folder. I then ink blended the edges with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar oxide inks. I die cut the pocket from the Classic Elegance Tall Pocket Etched Dies out of Barely Peach card. I also die cut a pocket out of acetate and trimmed it to fit behind the pocket before adding this to the card front. The acetate backing allowed me to add the flowers to the pocket.

To make the invitation I cut a piece of Barely Peach card 4″ x 5″ and using the bottom edge die from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Etched Dies die cut the edge from one short end. then cut another peice of gold cardstock 3″ x 4″ and matted it with a smaller blush card which had two lines scored around each end and has been ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar inks. This was then placed on the front of the invitation. I die cut the ‘Save the Date’ words from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies out of gold cardstock and two layers of blush card. These were stacked together on added to the front of the envelope.

For the back of the envelope I repeated the same process with the matted layers and then added the grid and the Date and the numbers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies.

I die cut two flourishes from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Edged Corner Dies and added them to the base of the matted layers and also die cut two edges from the same die set out of gold cardstock and added them to the top front and back of the invitation.

I have die cut the flowers using the flower dies from the Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies out of Barely Peach Cardstock. I added some Kitsch Flamingo ink to the centre of the flowers, shaped the petals with my fingers and then assembled the flowers with two petals. I die cut the large and medium sized stamens using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies out of flower shaping paper. I coloured the stamens with Lemon Whip ink and then shaped them with a ball stylus. I adhered two of each sized together making sure they overlapped and then added the larger and smaller stamens to the centre of the flower. I then added a pink iridescent jewel to the centre of the flower. I added the flowers to the bottom left of the pocket and also to the decorative edge and the top of the pull out invitation.

I die cut the leaves out of green cardstock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Die and the leaf dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Edged Corner Dies. I coloured the edges with Mowed Lawn ink, shaped them with my fingers and spritzed the with some Glimmer Mist before adding them around the flowers.

I die cut the small flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies out of flower shaping paper. I coloured them with Lemon Whip ink and spritzed them with water before shaping them. Once they were dry I added them around the larger flowers and leaves and added a yellow iridescent gem to the centre of the flowers.

Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Wedding Bells

Kia ora Koutou

I have just purchased the beautiful Honey Bee Stamps: Layering Holiday Bells Honey Cuts and started off making a white and gold Christmas card. But I ended up going in a totally different direction in the end and made a wedding card with a bouquet of Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers flowers and leaves. Even though it looks totally different from what I initially imagined I am very happy with the results and I hope you like it too.

My Project.

For my card I have made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of gold card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and added it to the front of the card. I die cut a Delicate Daisy Cover Plate Base and Top out of white cardstock and layered them together before adding them to the front of the card.

I die cut an oval using the Amaizng Paper Grace Elegant Twist Oval dies out of gold cardstock and then die cut one oval using the outer and inner decorative twist dies out of white cardstock and added it to the gold base. I then die cut two decorative twist oval frames out of white cardstock and added it to the base oval which was then added to the front of the card.

I die cut the bells from the Honey Bee Stamps: Layering Holiday Bells Honey Cuts out of white and gold cardstock. I assembled them and then added a gold bow out of the same set and added them to the the inside of the oval frame with foam tape.

I have die cut, coloured and assembled the flowers and leaves from the following dies: Lovely Layers – Dianthus (coloured yellow), rosebuds from the Roses dies – coloured blush and green, leaves and lavenders from the Spring Greenery dies and the gold leaves are from the Winter Greenery set. These were all layered around the top of the bells to ressemble a wedding bouquet. To add a little glamour and sparkle I have added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

To finish my card I have stamped the sentiments from the Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages stamp set in Wow embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiments out using the coordinating die set and added them to the card using foam strips.

I then added some gold pearls around the sentiment.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Kia ora Koutou

A very happy Valentine’s Day to you all. Today I have a Triple Point Valentine’s Day card that I have made using the Heartfelt Creations Friendship Rose collection and some painted flowers from the Heartfelt Creations Wedding Rose stamp and die set. This card would be great for a wedding as well. I had started this card when I was creating my samples for the Friendship Rose collection but I ran out of ideas to finish it at the time and finally finished it today. I had already coloured the rose wreath so I was able to use it today with the Decorative Heart die.

For the instructions on how I have made this card please visit here:

I have die cut two extra wreaths out of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and stacked them together and added the painted image at the top for extra depth and dimension to the image.

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Blog Hop – Bella Ovalette

Today I am sharing a shaped wedding card with coordinating gift card for the wedding gift. The decorative dies reminded me of decorative piping on a wedding cake and I have used the white decorative dies on a white background highlighted by some holographic card to create some fun and sparkle.

My creations were created today with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 12 dies included in the Bella Ovalette.

I have added the bride and groom, gazebo and sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Wedded Bliss Scene Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken using holographic paper for some fun and sparkle.

I have stacked the sentiment and gazebo for more depth and dimension to help them stand out.

The flowers are soft and pastel to allow the decorative dies to shine!

I have kept the gift card simple and added some flowers and a gorgeous sentiment.

To complete my ensemble I have added pearls to the decorative dies.

Instructions:

Cut the lace border from the HCDI-7120 Fleur Border Basics Die set and adhere to the edges of the fold out card.  Cut the patterned paper to fit the fold out panels using the plain border edge die from the Fleur Border Basics dies.  I have used two sheets of the coral roses and bells paper to cover the front and the back of the card.

Die cut the semi-circular medallion in white cardstock and adhere to the top of the card back.

Stamp the three different doves from the HCPC-3775 Flowering Dogwood & Doves stamp in Tuxedo Black and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Sponge the edges with Summer Sky and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit. Adhere to the front of the card as shown with foam squares and Dries Clear Glue (leave the left bottom one until the leaves and flowers have been added to the card).

To make the leaves stamp with the images with Tuxedo Black.  Sponge using the Precision Daubers with Bamboo Leaves before die cutting.  Shape the leaves with the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit, trim and adhere to the left front panel, around the base of the dove, on the left side panel and the top right corner of the back panel of the card.

To make the roses stamp the images from HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Stamp with Rose Coral, sponge the petals with the ink before die cutting using the coordinating die.  Shape with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and assemble in different sizes.  Apply Dries Clear adhesive to the petals with a paint brush or sponge and sprinkle Frosting Powder over the roses.  Use a heat gun to bring out the glitter and frosting on the roses.  Adhere the flowers as shown.

Stamp the rings image from HCPC-3788 Classic Wedding Roses Cling Stamp set with versamark and then emboss with gold embossing powder.  Die cut out and add dries clear glue and Crystal Clear glitter to the diamond of the rings for sparkle.  Add to the flowers as shown on the bottom left.

Die cut the lace border from the HCDI-7120 Fleur Border Basics Die Set from white cardstock.  Die cut the bottom left corner of the patterned paper and adhere the lace border to the back.  Adhere using Dries Clear glue on the edges only to create a pocket to the back panel of the card.  Die cut a tag from the HCD1-745 Luggage and Tags Die and add a thick green bakers twine and tie to the tag.  Die cut a small tag using the HCD1-745 Luggage and Tags Die and adhere to the front of the tag.  Place the tag in the pocket.  Using Dries Clear glue add Ultrafine Crystal glitter to the flourishes along the side of the back and on the pocket.

On the back of the first panel fussy cut a corner of the patterned paper with roses and ribbons and adhere to the corner.  Using Dries Clear Glue add Ultrafine Crystal glitter to the flourishes.

On the third panel stamp the large heart from the HCPC-3788 Classic Wedding Roses Cling Stamp set in Tuxedo Black.  Using the Precision daubers colour the leaves in Bamboo Green and the roses with Coral ink.  Die cut using the coordinating die.  Cut the sentiment out of the patterned paper and add to the back of the die cut as shown.  Using Dries clear glue add Frosting Powder to the flowers and heat with a heat gun. Adhere to the panel.  Fussy cut two corners of roses and ribbons patterned paper and adhere to the bottom corners.  Add Ultrafine Crystal glitter using Dries Clear glue to the flourishes.

Stamp the line of bells from the HCD1-7143 Classic Wedding Bells Cling Stamp set in Tuxedo black and die cut using the corresponding die.  Sponge the ribbon with the Rose Coral ink and the bells lightly with Grey Flannel.  Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and adhere along the top of the middle panel on the back of the card.  Cut the sentiment strip from the patterned paper and adhere to the bottom of the card.

Have a good week and Happy Crafting

Shape the leaves using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and adhere to the front of the medallion just above the bell.

Stamp the semi-circular image from the HCPC-3755 Blushing Rose Stamp set with versamark and emboss with Aged Ivory embossing powder.  Using the Stack and Store daubers colour the leaves with Bamboo Leaves and the Flowers with Pearlescent Coral.  Die cut them out using the coordinating die and shape before cutting in half to place on either side of the leaves at the top.

Stamp the sentiment from HCPC-3790 Classic Wedding Wishes Stamp on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black and die cut out using the small die from the HCD2-750 Cut Mat 1B Create Dies.  Using Dries Clear Glue add glitter around the edge of the sentiment and adhere to the bottom of the card using foam strips.

Stamp the leaves image from the HCPC-3755 Blushing Rose Stem Stamp set with versamark and emboss with Aged Ivory embossing powder.  Using the Stack and Store daubers colour in the leaves with Bamboo ink and then die cut the image out.  Adhere to the sides of the sentiment as shown.

To make the roses stamp the images from the HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Stamp set with Pearlescent Coral and colour the images in with the Coral ink before die cutting them out.  Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and make different sizes.  Adhere to the card as shown.

Instructions: Cut a piece of white card 12” x 6” and score and crease at 6” along the long side to create a base card of 6” x 6”.  Cut a piece of patterned paper 4” x 6” and adhere to the bottom of the card front.  Cut a piece of white cardstock 6” x 6: and using the cutting edge from the Fleur Border Basics set cut a section out as shown.  Emboss the top section using the Tied Together embossing folder (I have used the back of the embossing for a more ‘quilted’ effect).  Adhere this piece at the top of the card over the patterned paper.  On a spare piece of white cardstock cut the lace edge from the Fleur Border Basics and adhere along the cut edge.

Stamp the flower image form the HCPC-3721 Sunrise Lily Wishes Stamp set using Pearlescent Coral and Tea Leaves and die cut using the coordinating die.  Using the stack and store sponge daubers colour the flowers with Canteloupe and Pearlescent Coral and colour the leaves with Aloe Vera.  Shape lightly using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and adhere along the lace edge using Dries Clear glue and foam dots.
