Pretty in Pink Flowering Dogwood

Kia Ora and Welcome Back

Today I have a quick post showing a card I have just completed for a custom order.  I have just received the new Becca Feeken range of Spellbinders dies and I just had to have a play with the Victoriana Crest and it is just gorgeous!  It paired beautifully with the Flowering Dogwood paper and flowers from Heartfelt Creations of course!

I also took a photo of the difference Rajni Chawla’s Frosting Powder and Crystal Clear makes to the finish of a card.

Instructions:

Cut a base card at 12 x 7″ and score and crease at 6″ at the long side for a base card of 6″ x 7″.  Cut a piece of the patterned paper from the Flowering Dogwood paper collection at 6″ x 7″ and adhere to the front of the card.

Cut the base die from the Spellbinders Victoriana Crest in white cardstock.  Adhere to the base card.  Cut the patterned piece out of white cardstock and adhere to the base of the frame die.  Cut the centre oval out of white cardstock and adhere to the base frame and then cut the plain pink patterned paper out of the same die to adhere on the base.  Die cut 3 of the lacy insert and adhere together and then adhere to the pink patterned paper on the frame.  Add Simply White Nuvo drops to the centre of the flowers and on the frame as desired.

Die cut the numbers from the Victorian Numbers die set on white cardstock and adhere to the centre of the frame as shown.  Add Nuvo drops to the sides of the numbers.

To make the flowers stamp the largest and second largest flowers from the Flowering Dogwood stamp set in Pearlescent Coral.  Sponge the centres with New Sprout and die cut the flowers using the coordinating die.  Sponge the edges of the flowers with the Pearlescent Coral and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Adhere the petals together as shown.  Using the Glue Gloss add Rajni Chawla’s Frosting Powder to the petals and heat for a frosted finish.  Die cut the stamens from the green cardstock and roll up and adhere to the centre of the larger flowers.  Using Dries Clear glue adhere the prills to the centres of the stamens and the smaller flowers.  Adhere to the card as shown.

To make the leaves stamp the leaves from the Flowering Dogwood stamp set in Bamboo Leaves.  Sponge the leaves in New Sprout and then die cut using the coordinating die.  Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit.  Sponge the leaves with the Glue Gloss and sprinkle the Crystal Clear and allow to dry before adhering to the card as shown.

Stamp the sentiment from the Small Classic Petunia stamp set in Pearlescent Coral on white cardstock and die cut the shape from the Everyday Heroes die.  Adhere to the card on the lower right as shown.
