Christmas Bells are Coming For Christmas

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I am sharing three cards made with the beautiful Christmas Bells paper, motifs and dies from Dress My Craft.

I am really loving the Christmas Bells collection from Dress My Craft for making Christmas cards.  The papers are just stunning with a wide range of different colours and patterns for all Christmas card makers.  I have used gold accents to highlight the gorgeous reds, pinks and greens.

My first card is a shaker card which is complemented by the absolutely stunning Christmas Hangings bells and baubles die.  This comes with a decorative die and a background die but I only used the decorative die in gold card to make a statement.  This paired really well with the circle dies in gold.  I have used Micro Sparkling Dust, Ice Cubes, Snow White Flower Pearls and Frosted Sugar Powder for the shaker elements to create the effort of snow.

My second card is festooned with poinsettias and lilies that frames baubles, garlands  and the very cute images from the motif sheet.

My final card is a non-traditional pink and gold card featuring red and gold poinsettias on a pink and gold combination.

Christmas is Coming!

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back to a special tutorial for Heartfelt Creations.  Christmas is not far away and I thought I would do another Christmas card featuring the O Holy Night and Merry and Bright collections.

Cut a piece of white cardstock 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side to create a 5” x 7” base card.  Cut a piece of patterned paper 5” x 7” and adhere to the front of the card.  Die cut the holy town out using the frame die and add Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the image with Dries Clear glue.

Die cut another 3 frames from white cardstock.  Glue two of the centres together and adhere the previously cut holy town paper to the top.  Using the outer frame as a template adhere the holy town to the centre.  Add a frame to the card front with foam tape and repeat with another frame.

Stamp the shepherd and angel images from the HCPC-3832 O Holy Night Stamp set and the sentiment from the HCPC3833 Silent Night Scroll Stamp set in Jet Black ink on Flora Natura Super White cardstock.  Colour the images with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Adhere the shepherds to the frame at the bottom.

Stamp the pine bough images from the and the HCPC-3837 Snowy Pine Village Stamp set in Library Green ink on the Super White cardstock.  Colour with the Sepia, Vivid Chartreuse and Teal Zeal inks before die cutting with the coordinating dies.  Shape using the groove tool and add Crystal Clear glitter with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge.  Add one pine bough to the top left and one to the bottom right.  Add a couple of pine leaves to them both.

Stamp the pine images from the HCPC-3838 Merry and Bright Accents Stamp set in Library Green ink on Super White cardstock.  Colour with the Chartreuse and Teal Zeal inks and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Add Crystal Clear glitter with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge.  Adhere over the pine boughs.

Add the third frame using foam tape to the layers.  Add a pine bough on the top left and bottom right.  Add extra pine needles previously coloured over the pine boughs and down the left side and across from the bottom right.  Stamp the angels from the HCPC-3832 O Holy Night Stamp set in Jet Black ink on Super White cardstock.  Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Shape and add to the top left and bottom right.

Stamp the poinsettia images from the HCPC-3822 Poinsettia and Holly Cluster Stamp set in Cactus Flower ink on Super White cardstock.  Colour with the Cactus Flower ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Shape using the coordinating mold and assemble when dry.  Add Crystal Clear glitter using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge and adhere around the angels over the pine needles.

Stamp the holly images from the HCPC-3838 Merry and Bright Accents Stamp set in Library Green ink on super White paper.  Colour with Leaf Green and Fern Green inks and die cut with the coordinating die.  Shape using the groove tool and add Crystal Clear glitter using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge.  Adhere around the poinsettias.

Die cut another 2 plain dies from the HCD1-7186 Silent Night Scroll Die set and adhere together and adhere the sentiment to the top.  Adhere to the top of the card as shown.

Add clear sparkles to the frame die to complete the card.

I apologise for not having an original design today but I have been battling a nasty upper respiratory tract infection that has resulted in my probably fracturing a rib.  So I have not been able to do a lot of crafting, but rest assured I will be back in full force next year.

I would like to take the time to wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe Christmas and New Year.

Happy Crafting
