Amazing Paper Grace Adoring You Valentine’s Day Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another Valentine’s Day card to share with you today. This card is full of sparkles, flowers and hearts with a couple of sweet butterflies for a wonderful romantic card that says I love you so beautifully.  I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies to create a beautiful background for the hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard and the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – January 2021 Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox along with some beautiful peony and butterfly ephemera for an olde worlde/shabby chic feel but with a timeless and elegant look. And I was really happy with the colour combination of white, gold and pink that matched the flowers perfectly while the ivory glitter cardstock had hints of gold to create the overall harmonious effect.  Who wouldn’t want to receive this card on Valentine’s Day?

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a top folding 5 7/8″ x 5 7/8″ card out of Pink Sand cardstock. I then layered gold and white cardstock to the front of the card. I die cut the decorative square using the shadow die and the decorative insert dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies. I then die cut the four panels using the inner shadow dies and the decorative insert panels and adhered them to the top of the decorative square. I die cut a plain square out of Ivory glitter cardstock and then adhered the decorative square to the front of the glitter card which was then added to the front of the card to make the base for the embellishments.

I die cut two decorative hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard – one from white cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock. I added the white heart over the gold heart with the gold heart slightly offset to show some glitter. This was then added to a white shadow heart and added to the centre of the decorative square using foam tape.

I die cut three ‘Adoring You’ sentiments using the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Adoring Fleurette Card Builder Dies – two from white cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock. I stacked the three dies together with the gold die slightly offset on top and this was adhered on an angle on the bottom right of the card.

I stamped the ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ sentiment on white cardstock using Wow embossing ink and heat embossed it with fine line gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment out using the tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Adornments Dies and shaped it slightly before adhering the tag to the front of the heart using glue and foam tape slightly on an angle.

I added the pink bow to the top of the tag and then added the flowers and some hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – January 2021 Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentines Mailbox made from gold and pink cardstock. I then added a butterfly to the bottom right of the card.

To finish I added some pink jewels to the tag and the card front as shown.

Love and Peace

Kia ora Koutou

It has been a while since I have made any big flowers as I have been having a lot of problems with arthritis in my hands. However, I saw a challenge called ‘Peace’ in a Facebook group I belong to and I couldn’t resist getting my Susan’s Garden Floribunda Roses dies to make a Peace Rose. I have tried making this rose for a long time and I have finally realised that this rose is a very vibrant yellow with touches of pink on the outer petals so I was very happy with how my rose turned out – almost like the real Peace rose. I have added some Forget-Me Knots from Susan’s Garden to help us remember those that have been lost in wars over the centuries and the sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations and is a reminder that Love is what makes the world so much better.

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 12” x 6”, score at 3 1/4” x 8 3/4” and fold to create the gatefold.  Using the cutting edge of the HCD1-7161 Sweetheart Borders Die cut both ends of the card.  Die cut the decorative die and adhere it to the sides of the card.

Cut a piece of white organza ribbon approximately 24”.  Using a craft knife cut a small slit in the folds on both sides and thread the ribbon through.  Cut a piece of the pink patterned paper as 6” x 5 7/16” and adhere to the centre of the card. Cut the outer semi circular die from the HCD1-7144 Decorative Medallion Die from white cardstock and then die cut the decorative die and adhere to the top of the base die.  Adhere to the top of the card as shown.

Stamp the images from the HCPC-3756 Blushing Rose Swirls Stamp set in versamark ink on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die.  Using a dove blender pen colour the leaves with Bamboo Leaves and the roses and buds with Canteloupe and Pearlescent Coral.  Shape and adhere to the fronts of the folds and the top of the semi-circular medallion at the top of the card.

To make the leaves stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Cling Stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  Sponge the leaves with Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk inks and die cut with the coordinating die.  Shape and adhere to the front of the card as shown and the top of card.

To make the roses stamp the images from the HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Cling Stamp set in Pearlescent Coral, sponge the centres with Canteloupe inks and die cut.  Shape the flowers using the HCST1-401 Deluxe Shaping Kit and assemble as shown and adhere to the leaves on the front as shown.

Die cut the largest eyelet die out of white cardstock from the HCD1-7162 Eyelet Hearts Die and adhere to the centre of the card. Die cut the dark pink patterned paper with the second largest Eyelet Heart die and adhere to the heart.  Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3804 Heartfelt Love Sentiments Stamp set with Versamark ink and heat emboss with silver embossing powder on white cardstock.  Die cut the heart using the next size down plain heart die from the HCD1-7162 Eyelet Hearts Die set and adhere to the eyelet heart as shown in the middle of the card.

Stamp the image from the HCPC-3803 Banners of Love Stamp set in versamark ink on white cardstock and heat emboss with Silver embossing powder.  Colour the image in with Bamboo Leaves, Pearlescent Coral and Cantloupe inks and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere to the top of the hearts as shown and then add a rose to finish.
