Sending a Hug with Amazing Paper Grace Rose Garden

Kia Ora Koutou

I have been enjoying going back through the Amazing Paper Grace Dies of the Month and creating with them and it is interesting to see how much I have progressed both with cardmaking and also with taking photographs since these dies came out. Here is my original post when this die set came out. Today I have made a card using the Amazing Paper Grace December 2020 Die of the Month – Rose Garden Promise. I have coloured the roses and leaves with Copic Makers and added some Wink of Stella to the coloured images to create a sparkly stained glass window effect. Of course I had to add some flowers but these could easily be omitted to be able to send easily in the mail.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a 5″ x 7″ top folding card out of heavy weight white cardstock. I cut a piece of white alcohol marker friendly cardstock 5″ x 7″. I die cut the outline die out of scrap white cardstock and used this as a stencil to colour the roses and leaves with Copic markers. I then added some clear Wink of Stella to the coloured images. I die cut two outline dies out of white cardstock and stacked them together before adding them over the coloured images. I then die cut another die out of gold cardstock and paper pierced the frame to highlight the coloured images.

I die cut three sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Picture Perfect Window Scene Dies – two from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. I stacked these together with the gold die on top, cut the sentiment in half and added it to the centre of the frame.

I die cut a flourish out of gold cardstock and adhered it to the top left of the frame. I made some small pink and yellow flowers using the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Dies and added them over the flourish. I die cut small leaves out of green cardstock using the small leaf dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossom dies and added them around the flowers.

To finish the card I added some gold pearls around the sentiment.

Wishing You All the Best

Kia ora Koutou

Today I am sharing a second card that I created for the for the Pink Fresh Studio February 2024 Challenge which was to use the following Pink Fresh Studio inks Sparkling Rose, Sunkissed, Spruce Tips, and Paradise and gold or have some hearts in your project. This colour combination is just so beautiful and I will be using it again.

For my project I have created a top folding A2 sized card. I cut another piece of white card slightly smaller and lightly stenciled the background using Turquoise ink. This was then adhered to the card front.

I then die cut circles out and added them to the front of the stenciled image – I used two outer and one inner circle to create some dimension. I ink blended some Turquoise ink to one of the inner circles and then added it to the centre of the frame.

I stamped the Magnolias stamp using WOW embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I then coloured the flowers and leaves using the challenge inks – Sunkissed, Sparkling Rose, Paradise and Spruce Tips. The images were die cut and layered around the circle as shown.

For the sentiment I hot foiled the sentiment in Matte Gold Foil and die cut it with the coordinating die. I die cut another two plain dies and stacked these together and adhered the sentiment to the right of the flowers using some foam tape.

I hot foiled the small butterflies with Matte Gold foil and then coloured the butterflies with the coordinating stencil using Sunkissed and Sparkling Rose inks. I then die cut the butterflies and added this butterfly to the circle above the sentiment.

To finish my card I added some gold pearls around the flowers to meet the challenge brief.

Amazing Paper Grace Lattice Quadrante

Kia ora Koutou

Today my card combines two of my favourite methods of cardmaking – die cutting and flower making using Amazing Paper Grace dies. I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month September 2020 Lattice Quadrante as the base for pretty flowers and an elegant sentiment and finished with some gorgeous butterflies. I love how easy it is to create beautiful, elegant and classic cards with Amazing Paper Grace dies.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock. I have then layered gold, white and pale blue cardstock to the front of the card. I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the blue panel and die cut the top right and bottom left using the decorative insert corner inserts from the Amazing Paper Grace Lattice Quadrante dies. I then die cut four more stand alone corner dies using both the decorative inserts and the edge dies – two from blue cardstock and two from gold cardstock. I adhered the gold corners under the blue corners slightly offsetting the gold to allow a peak of gold. I then adhered the corners over the previously cut corners before adding this panel to the front of the card.

I die cut the leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go III dies out of green cardstock and adhered them over the bottom left corner lattice. I die cut, coloured and shaped the flowers from the same die set, assembled them and added them over the leaves. I die cut small filler flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri dies and coloured them in yellow and blue inks, I shaped them and added wire stamens through the centres of the flowers, trimmed the wires and added them to around the larger pink flowers. To finish the bouquet I added some gold leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Pinkaboo Trellis Dies.

I die cut three ‘With Love’ sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace With With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies – two from pale blue cardstock and one from gold cardstock. These dies were stacked together with the gold die on top and then added to the top right lattice corner as shown.

I stamped the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Lyrical Layered Florals Stamp and Die Set in embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. This was then die cut with the coordinating die and I also die cut a plain die and added the embossed sentiment on top. I added this over the die cut sentiment using some foam squares.

To finish the cards I made two butterflies from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies out of vellum and accented with gold bodies. These were added around the sentiment as shown.

Westie Beach Themed Birthday Card

Kia ora Koutou

I seem to have been doing a lot of beach themed papers lately and I have another beach themed card for you today. I was asked to do a birthday card with a beach theme and a westie dog in it. The Heartfelt Creations Sea Breeze collection was perfect and I was so happy with how this turned out just like I had planned it in my mind. I wanted a little dog running up from the beach towards you among all the shells, birds and boats. Because I wanted this card done very quickly I die cut all the small embellishments out of the papers and all I had to do was trim the paper, add the frame, sentiment and flowers I had already made some time before and I was done. Once again I have downloaded the image for the dog from CoolerPainting on Etsy and printed it on watercolour paper and it was perfect! I was told that the recipient cried when she received this card which makes me very happy.

My Project.

I created a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I layered gold cardstock with a beach image paper for the base. I die cut the boat, seagull on marker and some birds from the paper collection and die cut plain dies to add the patterned dies on top for more dimension. These were added over the images on the paper. I die cut two frames from the Heartfelt Creations Majestic Swirls Frame Die – one from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. The gold frame was adhered to the white frame and then added to the card front with foam strips. I die cut more images from the paper collection and added them to plain dies and these were added to the card front. The gate was trimmed in half for both sides of the card and I added some shells, foliage and more birds to the bottom of the card. I also added some seagulls to the main body of the card. The westie image was printed onto watercolour paper, fussy cut and then added to the bottom of the frame to look like he was running up to meet you.

I made the hibiscus flowers and leaves out of watercolour paper and these were added to the top right of the card. To finish I added some more foliage from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Foliage which I die cut out of green cardstock around the hibiscus flowers and leaves.

To finish I added some Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the sea and generally over the card using Bearly Art Glue.

Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Amaryllis

Kia ora Koutou

I recently purchased the gorgeous Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Amaryllis Honey Cuts and my goodness this is a fabulous flower set to get. I had very few get well cards and this set was perfect for one. Here I have coloured the bowl, flowers and leaves with Copic markers and assembled them using foam squares for more dimension. Because the flowers are so dramatic I just added a white on white background by die cutting the Honey Bee Stamps Burlap Honey Cuts out of white cardstock and adding it to the front of the card. Add a sentiment and some iridescent rhinestone and the card was made very quickly.

Love and Peace

Kia ora Koutou

It has been a while since I have made any big flowers as I have been having a lot of problems with arthritis in my hands. However, I saw a challenge called ‘Peace’ in a Facebook group I belong to and I couldn’t resist getting my Susan’s Garden Floribunda Roses dies to make a Peace Rose. I have tried making this rose for a long time and I have finally realised that this rose is a very vibrant yellow with touches of pink on the outer petals so I was very happy with how my rose turned out – almost like the real Peace rose. I have added some Forget-Me Knots from Susan’s Garden to help us remember those that have been lost in wars over the centuries and the sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations and is a reminder that Love is what makes the world so much better.

Sending You My Love

Kia Ora Koutou

This month’s challenge for Simon Says Stamps is for ‘white on white’ projects and of course that is one of my favourite styles so I had to make a card.

For my card I have added a lot of texture with an embossed background using the Altenew 3D Embossing Folder – Textured Wicker. I created a frame by die cutting 4 frames from the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Rectangles which were stacked together and then I added the roses and leaves from the Altenew Craft-A-Flower – Garden Rose set. I added white leaves under the frame and then single leaves around the roses above the frame to add extra depth and dimension to the card. I added a hint of colour to the centre of the roses with light yellow ink and finished the roses with some glitter to make them shine.

The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock using the stamp from the Altenew Dotted Blooms stamp set and die cut with the die from the Altenew Featured Sentiments Die set and matted with black cardstock before being added to the card with some foam squares.

Amazing Paper Grace Happy Valentine’s Day

Kia ora Koutou

Making Valentine’s Day cards are so simple with Amazing Paper Grace dies and today I have a Valentine’s Day card that was quick and easy to make. For my card I have used the Amazing Paper Grace December 2020 Die of the Month – Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Dies which has all you need to make timeless and classic Valentine’s Day card your sweetheart will cherish forever. To complete this card I have added a sweet little heart from the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Facade dies and the sentiment from the Merry Everything Dies. This card took no time to put together and looks fabulous.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top folding card out of white cardstock. I layered some gold and white cardstock to create the base for the decorative dies.

To create the decorative base for my embellishments I used the Amazing Paper Grace December 2022 Die of the Month – Sweetheart Envelope and Note Card dies. To start I die cut the outer scallop edged envelope die out of gold cardstock and trimmed the end to fit the card front before adhering to the front of the card. I then die cut the inner notecard die out of white cardstock using the decorative die insert at the shaped end. This was trimmed to fit inside the gold outer die and adhered to the front as shown.

I die cut the decorative rectangle and the shadow out of white cardstock and added the decorative die to the shadow die and then adhered this to the bottom half of the decorative dies.

I die cut a small decorative heart out of white cardstock using the small heart dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Facade die. I then die cut the shadow heart out of gold cardstock and adhered the decorative die to the shadow and then adhered the heart to the top of the white decorative base.

I die cut three sets of flowers out of ivory pearl cardstock and assembled them. These were glued to the centre of the decorative dies and added the leaves that have been die cut out of green cardstock.

I die cut three sets of sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Merry Everything dies – two sets out of white cardstock and one set out of gold glitter cardstock. I stacked these together with the gold glitter sentiments on top and then adhered these over the decorative panel at the bottom half of the card.

To complete the card I have added gold pearls to the flower centres, the gold heart and around the sentiments.

Flower Garden Just For You

Kia ora Koutou

I follow WPlus9 Designs on YouTube and I just love how Dawn colours her flowers from Honey Bee Stamps and this card has been inspired by a couple of her cards made using the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Peony and Wildflowers. I don’t have a lot of Honey Bee Stamps cover dies and the flowers I used were rather too big for a small card so I dug out an old Spellbinders die that I really love called Majestic Labels Twenty-Five to create a very elegant background to my pretty flowers. I really like the stamp sentiment as it can be used on its own or could have a specific sentiment added to them such as a ‘happy birthday’ to personalise it.

My Project.

For my card I have created a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of light blue cardstock 5″ x 7″ and adhered it to the front of the card. I cut a piece of Snowdrift cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and adhered it to the front of the card.

I cut another piece of Snowdrift cardstock 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ and die cut the frame and inner using the outer frame and next size frame dies. I adhered the outer frame to the white cardstock using foam strips and then added the inner die inside the frame. I die cut the label out of Snowdrift cardstock and added it over the centre of the frame. I stamped the sentiment from Beccy’s Place Magnolia stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink to the bottom right of the label as shown.

I die cut the light green leaves using the leaf die from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Greenery Honey Cuts and adhered it to create a base for the flowers to the top left of the frame.

I then die cut the leaves and stems from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Wildflowers Honey Cuts and added some green ink to create more dimension to the stem and leaves. I used Altenew Shadow Creek ink on the green (Rainforest cardstock) stems from the blue bell flowers and Pink Fresh Studio ink Grassy Knoll and Key Lime inks on the green (Sprout cardstock) leaves for the light blue flowers. I then die cut the flowers using white cardstock and coloured the blue bell flowers with Altenew Crystal Violet and Alpine Aster before adding them to the stem. I adhered this flower stem over the base leaves to the left of the frame.

I die cut the leaves leaves and stems only for the light blue and yellow flowers. I added some Pink Fresh Studio Key Lime ink to the leaves and then added one stem to the base flowers. The light blue flowers were coloured using Pink Fresh Studio Lemon Whip, Crystal Violet, Maple Yellow and Doe inks and then assembled them before added a flower to the stem already on the card with foam squares for dimension. I added a single flower to the left of the foliage and then trimmed the leaves to fit around the flower.

I die cut the peony and bud from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Peony Honey Cuts and coloured the pieces using Pink Fresh Studio inks – Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Sparkling Rose and Wisteria. Once the colouring was complete I assembled the peony and bud using foam squares for some dimension. I die cut the leaves out of Sprout cardstock and added some shading to create shape to the leaves. These leaves were adhered to the base of the frame with some foam tape on a couple of leaves. I added the peony and bud over these leaves.

To complete the floral arrangement I trimmed another leaf from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Greenery Honey Cuts and added them around the peony and leaves.

I added clear Wink of Stella for all the flowers for some subtle glimmer and shine.

To finish I added some light blue gems around the sentiment and flowers as shown.
