I love how the shaker element adds that playful hocus pocus rattle — perfect for sending a bit of Halloween cheer (and maybe a little scare 😉).

Have you made your Halloween cards yet? Drop a 👻 in the comments if you’re feeling spooky too!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

💡 How I Made It:

I started by colouring the ghostly image with Copic markers and then cut the image to create the base of the shaker element. The shaker element is the star of the card — I die cut a frame out of white cardstock, added an ombre purple/blue glittery shadow before adding a clear acetate layer to the back of the frame. I filled this with some hocus pocus Halloween shaker mixes before sealing it up with foam tape onto the coloured image.

I finished it off with a fun Halloween sentiment and embellished with autumn leaves and a pumpkin as well as a sparkly spider web complete with dangling spiders.

This ghost shaker card is packed with Halloween fun, dimension and layers, and a playful “Boo!” sentiment — perfect for sending a little Halloween cheer.

Elegant Blue & White Birthday Card Design

Kia Ora Koutou

💙✨Blue and white never looked this elegant 💙✨

A blue and white decorative lacy birthday card with accents of silver featuring pretty lemon and white daisies with soft green leaves is always a classic and timeless look. Add an elegant “Happy Birthday” die in the center surrounded by a soft pastel background and gentle shadows for depth completes the overall aesthetic which is refined, feminine, and sophisticated.

Create elegant backgrounds to your cards with just three dies. Use one die for the background by trimming the dies in half to create the corners for the base. Add the remaining trimmed dies to the second layer and with some pretty accents with a medallion die and then add the third layer with a statement die that highlights the birthday sentiment. Amazing Paper Grace dies work so well together to create an infinite range of designs.

And we must not forget the layered daisy flowers that add the feminine touch! These daisies are incredibly easy to create quickly and can be coloured so many different combinations to suit all designs.

And of course any card made using Amazing Paper Grace dies has to have pearls to complete the card.

‘Tis the Season with Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

I was asked recently to make some New Zealand Christmas themed Christmas cards and I thought it would be a great opportunity to use the Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Borders – Graceful Frame Maker Etched Die to create a frame for this cute kiwi on a beach scene. I was really happy with how this card turned out. And I love the cute Santa kiwi too!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I am so amazed at the ingenuity of this die to create so many different frame combinations and for this card I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Borders – Graceful Fans Etched Dies to make a fan border for the image. I have also used the Amazing Paper Grace Classic Fluted Square Etched Dies to complete the frame. I have added some poinsettias and foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month November 2020 Pop up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh Etched Dies and the I have mounted the foiled sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month November 2020 Pop up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh Etched Dies on the banner from the Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Pierced Banners Etched Dies. To finish the card I have added some sparkle on the sea and the flowers using some Diamond Stickles and to the hat with Stickles Frosted Lace and some gold pearls to the corners and flower centres.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas with Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

One of my favourite papercraft techniques is hot foiling and I do it a lot – particularly for sentiments. I have purchased a Better Press machine but I tend to use the plates for hot foiling instead. Amazing Paper Grace has the most beautiful and elegant hot foil plates and today I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Merry Filigree Quatrefoil Hot Foil Plate as a base for my Christmas card. I have used non-traditional colours for my card and I love the how the colour combination of pink, gold and green work with the pops of traditional red berries.

Amazing Paper Grace Christmas Poinsettia

Kia ora Koutou

It is scarily close to Christmas now and I have another Christmas card to share with you using the Amazing Paper Grace Oval Coronet Etched Dies as a beautiful frame for a pretty poinsettia image I found on Facebook. I have used vellum for the insert to add texture but still allow the image to show through. I have added some embellishments around the frame (listed below) and a fabulous full silver bow to finish off the card. I love the clean simplicity of this card and the red poinsettia really pops through the white and silver accents of the card.

Sending Big Hugs with Amazing Paper Grace

Kia Ora Koutou

Today’s card has been inspired by a reel from Instagram and I have given it an Amazing Paper Grace Twist by using the Amazing Paper Grace Curvy Labels Etched Dies to create a ‘tunnel’ aperture and I added a pretty edge using the Amazing Paper Grace Floral Tiara Topper Etched Dies which has been lined with the same pink on the butterflies and the base of the card front. I have added foam tape between the layers of white card to create more depth and dimension to the card front and also to the flowers. I think the finished card is so crisp, fresh and also quite elegant and can be used for so many different occasions.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have created a base card of 6″ x 6″ out of white cardstock. I then added matted pink and white cardstock to the front of the card. I cut two further pieces of white cardstock each 1/8″ smaller and also die cut the aperture out using the Amazing Paper Grace Curvy Etched dies – the bottom card is slightly smaller aperture to get the ‘tunnel’ effect. I also die cut the decorative edge out of the bottom of the top layer using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Floral Tiara Topper Etched Dies using the outer edge cutting die only. I die cut a shadow out of pink cardstock and added it to the back of the decorative edge and added another white complete decorative edge to the top of the previously cut edge for extra strength and depth. On the second layer I have used my scoreboard to score lines 1/8″ to the bottom for more interest. I have created the base for the aperture by hot foiling the Amazing Paper Grace Glorious Glimmer Elegant Background Hot Foil Plate with Opal foil and then sponging pink over it for a resist effect. The layers were all added together with foam tape and I added some acetate behind the bottom layer before adding the pink resist background onto the card front.

I have made the flowers using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motif Etched Dies. I have used pink inks to colour the flowers and then added green foliage and small yellow and green flowers which were added around the left side of the aperture.

To finish the card I added a decorative swirl to the top of the card using the flourish die from the Amazing Paper Grace Delicate Tendril Border Etched Dies and a motif at the top of the decorative edge from the Amazing Paper Grace Marquise Diamond Pendant Etched Dies and added pearls to the decorative dies as shown.

Finally I have added a couple of sweet butterflies from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Motif Etched Dies and the sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages Stamp set has been stamped in black and cut small to fit the decorative edge using foam strips.

With Love Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

Today’s card features some layering with the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Sampler and Candlewick Classics collection by Becca Feeken. These collections are among my all time favourite collections because they work so well together and create beautiful designs and textures that are timeless and classic. I have added some soft pink handmade flowers and very pale lemon flowers on green leaves to continue the romantic feel to this card. Who wouldn’t want to receive this card!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

The base card is a side folding 5″ x 7″ card made from Alabaster cardstock. To create the base for the layered dies I have matted gold and Alabaster card to the front of the card and for extra interest I have scored a border using my scoreboard on the top Alabaster layer. I then matted gold cardstock with some ivory embossed paper from my stash and added it to the card front.

I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Rectangle and Square Candlewick Classics dies to create frames out of the Alabaster cardstock. I have added a medium rectangle frame on the card front and added the plain centre. I then added a square frame to the front of the rectangle frame. but turning it around 90 degrees with foam tape. I die cut two of the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Canopy Etched Dies – one from gold cardstock and one from Alabaster card. I stacked these together with the gold frame on top and then wrapped the Canopy frame around a small rectangle frame to the top of the previous frames with foam tape. To finish the layering I have added the plain insert for placing the sentiment on the card.

I die cut four ‘With Love’ sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Etched Dies – three from Alabaster cardstock and one from gold cardstock. These were stacked together with the gold sentiment on top and then added to the middle of the layered frames.

I have die cut the leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched Dies and Cinch and Go Five Etched Dies out of two shades of green cardstock. I added some Mowed Lawn inks to the leaves and then added them around the top left of the frame.

The flowers have been made using the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Five Etched Dies and Grand Cinch And Go Flowers Etched Dies using some soft flower shaping paper. For a harmonious colour palatte I have coloured the big flowers with pinks and light green/yellow inks and then used the same light green/yellow ink on the smaller flowers. I have added flowers over the leaves and added Crystal Stickles to the larger flowers and Frosted Lace for the smaller flowers and pearls to the centre of the small flowers.

To finish the card I have added pearls to the Candlewick Canopy die, the square and rectangle dies and some pearl trim from my stash around the top matted layer and a single pearl flower inside the frame by the sentiment.

Amazing Paper Grace Best Wishes

Kia ora Koutou

I have another card to share with you that has been inspired by The Gilded Age television programme. This time I have used the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace Tiffany Lavaliere Etched Dies from the Vintage Treasures Collection by Becca Feeken. For this card I have added a handmade rose and small filler flowers to complement the gorgeous dies that I have used. I played on the blue and gold theme again and also added some white shadows for a bigger contrast. To finish the card I have added a foiled sentiment that is so versatile and can be used for many different occasions.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My base card is a top folding 5 1/2 x 5 1/2″ white card and I have added gold card to the front. I then added a matted white and light teal card to this using fun foam to keep the weight down. To add more interest to the light teal card I have added an embossed border using my scoring board.

I die cut the outer frame, inner frame and decorative middle out of gold cardstock. I added the outer gold frame out to the card front with foam squares. I die cut the white layer using the middle decorative dies and then added the gold decorative frame on top and added this inside the frame. I die cut two more inner frames out of white cardstock before stacking these together and then adding the previous gold frame to the top and added it to the centre of the frame. I die cut one white shadow inner motif and two decorative motifs out of gold cardstock. I added one gold motif to the white shadow die with foam squares and then rotated the other gold motif 90 degrees before adding it to the other motif with foam squares before adding to the base card as shown.

I hot foiled the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Glorious Glimmer Elegant Ovals Foil Plate using Aura foil on white cardstock. I die cut this out using the banner die from the Amazing Paper Grace Just a Note Sentiments Tag Clear Stamp Die Set and added this across the centre of the decorative dies using some foam squares for more shape.

The leaves have been cut out of different green cardstocks using the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud, Petite Floral Potpourri and the Die of the Month December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set Etched Dies. I added the light green foliage around the left side of the frame and then I have inked the larger green leaves with Mowed Lawn ink and shaped them before adding them over the light green foliage.

The rose has been made using the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies. I have used flower shaping paper and dipped this in some water with pink re-inker ink to colour the petals pink. Ater shaping the rose and assembling it I added some TCW Stardust Butter – Opalescent for a porcelain look at dusted it with some Micro Sparkling Dust for some shimmer and this has been added to the left side over the sentiment banner to anchor it.

The small flowers are from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies. I have kept the larger flowers white and added some blue ink to the smaller flowers that matched the light teal cardstock. The white flowers have had some Frosted Lace Stickles applied and the blue flowers have had Crystal Stickles applied and then the flowers have been added over the leaves and foliage. To finish the flowers I have added some pearls to the centre.

To complete the card I die cut the small motif from the Amazing Paper Grace Nobel Chatelaine Etched Dies out of gold cardstock, trimmed then and added them to the four corners of the card. Finally I added some pearls to the centres of these corners.

Amazing Paper Grace Gilded Nobel Chatelaine

Kia ora Koutou

I have another card inspired by the television programme The Gilded Age to share with you today. I love all the opening credits on this programme and the Amazing Paper Grace Nobel Chatelaine Etched Dies from the Vintage Treasures by Becca Feeken reminded me of the ornate necklace at the start of the credits and then to finish the card I have added some flowers and foliage to represent the ornate decorations at the end of the credits. The colour combination I have used here was used on a lot of the decor at the different mansions that are featured in this programme. I have kept the sentiment low key in order to highlight the stunning dies, flowers and foliage.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My base card is 5″ x &” and I have matted white and light blue/green cardstock to create a background using fun foam to add some dimension in the top matted layer.

I die cut a shadow decorative frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Nobel Chatelaine Etched Dies out of white cardstock and then die cut a decorative frame with the centre die cut out from gold cardstock. These were stacked together and added to the front of the card with foam tape and squares. I then added a small scalloped frame to the centre of the gold frame with foam squares for more dimension. I die cut two motifs from the same die set – one from gold cardstock and one from white cardstock. These were stacked together with the gold motif on top and then added into the centre of the frame as shown. I added a small white diamond to the centre and a gold pearl to the centre and sides of the motif and pearls to the centres of the flowers. To further enhance the feel of a necklace I added some iridescent gems from my stash to the decorative frame for lots of bling and sparkle.

I die cut some leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Etched Dies out of gold cardstock and added them to the left of the decorative frame. I then die cut three different leaf shapes out of three different green cardstocks using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies, Sweet Cottage Flowers Etched Dies and the Layered Daisies Etched Dies. I added depth to the leaves with Mowed Lawn ink and then added them over the gold leaves.

The large flower has been made using the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers Etched Dies out of white flower shaping paper. I have dyed the paper a very pale pink and then shaped two petals similar to the flowers on the decor in The Gilded Rose television programme. Once dry I added some TCW Stardust Butter – Opalescent to the petals which gave the flower a shimmery porcelain finish. To finish the flower I added some gold edging to the petals with Cosmic Shimmer Luna Paste – Moonlight Gold. I used a styrofoam bud for the centre and added some gold pearls to the bud before adding some pearl stamens around the base of the stamen. The flower was added over the leaves using a foam square.

The small flowers have been made from the Amazing Paper Grace and the Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies and the Die of the Month March 2020 – Elegant Infinity Etched Dies. I have coloured the larger flowers with yellow ink and the smaller flowers with a pale blue ink that matches the colour of the background blue/green cardstock. These were shaped and added around the larger flower and I have added gold pearls to the centre of the yellow flowers and oyster pearls to the centre of the blue flowers. To finish the flowers I added some Stardust Stickles to the blue flowers and Stardust Stickles to the yellow flowers.

I stamped the sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Seasonal Motif Sentiments Clear Stamp Set and the Becca’s Place Magnolia Stamp Set using Versamark ink on white cardstock and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I die cut them both out using the small tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Etched Die set. I added a gold thread before attaching the tags to the card under the large flower. To finish the tags I die cut another motif out of gold cardstock and trimmed it to decorate the top of the tags and then added two small iridescent gems to them.

I die cut another two motifs and trimmed them in half and added these to each corner of the card over the blue/green cardstock to show the ornate decorative elements that were widely used in ‘The Gilded Age’. I added some oyster pearls to the centres of the flowers to tie in with the rest of the card.

Pink Fresh Studio So Grateful

Kia ora Koutou

It has been a while since I was able to enter the challenge at Pink Fresh Studio as I haven’t had a chance to do a lot of crafting due to health issues.

The Pink Fresh Studio monthly challenge is an Anything Goes Challenge: While the theme and colors are here to inspire you, feel free to enter any NEW project that primarily uses Pinkfresh Studio products. Whether you use the theme, the colors, both or none—it’s up to you. At the end of the day, we just want you to get crafty and have fun!

Before I had to take a break I did manage to make this card which has been inspired by Dawn Woleslagle from WPlus9 Designs on her YouTube channel where she made some very elegant cards using a monochromatic blue palate inspired by Chinoiserie designs.

For my card today I have created a plain background of gold and white matting on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card before adding a fancy raised gold frame using both the Pink Fresh Studio Nested Hexagons: Double Stitch Dies and the Pink Fresh Studio Fancy Edgers Dies.

I stamped the images from the Pink Fresh Studio Print Shop: Modern Botanicals stamp set on white card and coloured the images using the coordinating stencils with Blue Jay and Sapphire inks before die cutting with the coordinating die. The flowers were then added around the left of the frame as shown and using foam squares on some flowers for more dimension.

I finished the card with a simple hot foiled sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil Plate that has been die cut with the coordinating die.

Finally I added some Pink Fresh Studio clear gems with gold dust around the sentiment.

I love the clean and fresh simplicity of this card and I will be looking at participating in more challenges in the future including using the theme and/or colours that have been suggested.
