I have another birthday card to share with you today and this time I have a beautiful rose from Altenew. I love hot foiling and the Gilded Rose from Altenew is just beautiful when coloured with the coordinating stencils. I coloured the rose in my favourite pink colours and added some texture from an embossing folder and the gorgeous gold lace borders framed the rose beautifully.
My project
I have created a base card of 6″ x 6″ and layered gold and white cardstock for the base of the card. I have embossed the top later using the Diamond Plaid embossing folder from Altenew. I then hot foiled the rose on white card and coloured it with the pink inks using the coordinating stencils. I cut the rose out by fussing cutting and then trimmed one corner so it could fit into the corner of the card. I die cut two lace borders from gold cardstock and adhered them to the left and bottom as shown. I added the rose to the corner and then stamped and die cut the leaves in green from the Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp set and coordinating die and then added them to the rose. Some leaves I added behind the rose and some on top to create the depth and dimension of the rose. To finish I added a sentiment that has been hot foiled and die cut from the Spellbinders Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments and Die set.
