Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score along the long side at 4 ¼” and fold to create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” base card.  Cut a piece of purple paper 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and adhere to the front of the card.

Cut the panel out from the patterned paper and die cut the inner using the Cut Mat Create 1A die.  Using the frame as a template adhere the centre to the card using Dries Clear glue.  Cut a piece of clear cardstock 4 ¼” x 3 ¼” and adhere behind the frame.  Adhere the frame to the front of the card with foam tape.

Cut the cage image out in white cardstock and adhere to the front of the aperture over the clear cardstock.

Stamp the image from the HCPC-3817 Lush Lilac & Umbrella Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Bristol Smooth paper and die cut with the corresponding die.  Colour with Zig brush markers and adhere to the front of the card.  Add Crystal Clear glitter to the image with Dries Clear glue.

Stamp the bird images from the HCPC-3644 Birds and Blooms Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and cut out with the corresponding die.  Colour with Canteloupe, Summer Sky and Sweet Petunia inks and add Ultrafine Crystal glitter with glue gloss.  Shape lightly and adhere above the lilac spray as shown.

Finish with a ribbon bow in purple.

My second card is a quick and simple card letting the beautiful papers speak for themselves.
