Pink, Red & White Valentine’s Day Card with Gold Accents

Kia ora Koutou

Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to play with soft pinks, classic reds, and elegant details. For today’s card, I combined pink, red, and white cardstock with delicate lacy die cuts, subtle gold accents, and pearl embellishments to create a romantic Valentine’s Day design that feels timeless and feminine.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Design Inspiration

This Valentine’s Day card is inspired by a romantic and traditional mix of soft pink, crisp white, and pops of red, finished with elegant gold accents. Layered hearts add dimension and sweetness, making this design perfect for celebrating love in a classic yet modern way.

Design Highlights

  • Theme: Valentine’s Day
  • Colours: Pink, red, white, and gold
  • Style: Elegant, romantic, layered
  • Techniques: Die cutting, layering, embellishing, dry embossing
  • Embellishments: Pearls, gold accents, hearts and handmade flowers

How I Made the Card

  1. I began with a white card base, which keeps the overall design clean and allows the details to stand out.
  2. I addeed layers of red and white to bring in the traditional red Valentine’s Day colours
  3. A soft pink embossed panel was added on top, creating a textural background for the focal elements. For extra depth to the embossed panel I have brushed some deeper pink inks to highlight the embossing.
  4. To soften the embossed panel I die cut a vellum square to assist with highlighting the focal sentiment and embellishments.
  5. Using lacy dies, I die cut a decorative border from white cardstock and added a pink shadow to the border. And in keeping with the colours already used in the background I have added this border to a layered red and white panel before adhering them to the card front as shown.
  6. Again using a lacy heart die I die cut the heart from white cardstock and added it to a pink shadow layered with more vellum and positioned it to the centre of the lacy border panel.
  7. Small flowers were die cut from white cardstock, lightly coloured with pink inks before being shaped and assembled and adhered to the heart. Small green leaves were added around the flowers.
  8. To enhance the romantic feel, I incorporated gold accents, which bring warmth and a subtle shine to the design.
  9. The sentiment has been die cut three times – with pink card, red card and gold card and stacked together slightly offsetting each layer and added above the lacy panel and now is the focus of the card. The gold peeking out adds a touch of elegance to the card.
  10. In order to add to the Valentine’s Day theme I have also die cut a couple of extra hearts out of red and gold card and added them on the card as shown.
  11. The card was finished with pearl embellishments on the lacy panel, hearts and the centres of the flowers, adding softness and a touch of luxury without overpowering the layout. And for even more subtle shine I have added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the petals of the flowrs.

Design Tip

Lacy dies add a lot of detail to a card, so keeping the colour palette simple helps prevent the design from feeling too busy. Pearls and gold accents work beautifully together and instantly elevate Valentine’s Day projects.

Final Thoughts

I love how this Valentine’s Day card came together with its soft layers, delicate details, and classic colour combination. The mix of lacy die cuts, pearls, and gold accents makes it perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or any occasion that celebrates love.

Thank you so much for stopping by today — I hope this card inspires your Valentine’s Day crafting 💕

You’re In My Heart – Elegant Valentine’s Day Card in Peach, White & Gold

Kia ora Koutou

Valentine’s Day cards don’t have to be bold reds and pinks to feel heartfelt. For today’s project, I’ve gone with a soft peach colour palette paired with crisp white and delicate gold accents to create an elegant and romantic You’re In My Heart card. With layers of florals, butterflies, and subtle heart details, this design feels light, feminine, and full of warmth — perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion that calls for a little love.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

The Design Inspiration

This card was inspired by gentle spring tones and classic romantic elements. Peach adds a soft glow without overpowering the design, while white keeps everything clean and fresh. Touches of gold bring in just the right amount of luxury and elegance.

Design highlights:

  • Window card design using a raised frame and acetate
  • Peach, white, and gold colour palette
  • Floral clusters for softness and dimension
  • Butterflies for movement and elegance
  • Heart details to reinforce the Valentine’s theme
  • You’re In My Heart sentiment as the focal point

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Create the Card Base
  • Start with a white top-fold card base. Add a peach cardstock panel to the card front. Add a decorative and lacy die cut panel to the front to added a soft and feminine background.
  • Die-Cut the Frame and Create the Window
  • Die cut a frame using a pretty lacy frame, add a gold shadow behind it and then add some acetate behind the frame. Adhere this frame to the card base using using foam adhesive for added dimension. Add a small decorative strip in the centre of the frame.
  • Add the Sentiment
  • Die cut the sentiment out of white and gold cardstocks and stacked them together before adhering them in the centre of the frame. Stacking the sentiment helps make the sentiment more prominent and become the central focus of the card.
  • Add Florals
  • Die cut florals from white cardstock. Colour then with coordinating peach inks and assemble the smaller flowers Arrange them around the window opening, securing some flat and others with foam adhesive to create depth. Die cut some leaves out of white cardstock, colour them with green inks before adding them around the flowers.
  • Layer Butterflies
  • Die cut butterflies using coordinating white, peach and gold card, assemble them and then gently shape the wings. Adhere them around the floral cluster to give the card movement and softness.
  • Add Heart Details
  • Incorporate a small decorative heart below the sentiment over the decorative strip to further re-enforce the Valentine’s Day theme.
  • Finish with Gold Accents
  • Add subtle gold elements to highlight the flowers, butterflies and die cuts and bring an elegant touch to the card.
  • Final Touches
  • Check the balance of the design and add any final embellishments as desired. Here. I have added some pearls to the centres of the flowers and on the frame. I also added some iridescent gems to the butterflies for some extra sparkle.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card turned out — it’s romantic without being over-the-top and feels just as suitable for Valentine’s Day as it does for anniversaries, weddings, or “just because” moments. The peach, white, and gold combination is soft, timeless, and incredibly versatile.

If you’re looking to step away from traditional Valentine’s colours, I highly recommend giving peach a try — it brings such a warm and beautiful glow to handmade cards.

Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentine Mailbox

Kia ora Koutou

You are in for a treat today with this stunning 3D Valentine’s Day card made using the Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentine Mailbox. I love how easy it is to put this card together and it took longer to decide on the embellishments from the Peony Garden collection from Mintay. The front opens up like a mailbox but I decided to leave the front closed and created a diorama scene instead using some pretty papers. The pink and gold combination is so pretty and very romantic with a shabby chic feel. This mailbox would be a gorgeous decoration to sit on the table for a romantic candlelight dinner with roses and chocolates. If you did want to send this in the post the card will lay flat for posting.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have die cut the mailbox out of pink cardstock and assembled the mailbox according to the instructions from Amazing Paper Grace. To create the diorama I have added some scenic paper die cut using the inner plain die to the second panel from the front and I added a small butterfly using foam tape for some more depth and interest to the diorama. For the front door I have kept it shut and added some acetate behind the decorative front for stability and to add the gold glitter decorative die to the front.

To decorate the mailbox I die cut two ‘MAIL’ sentiments – one from pink cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock and adhered the gold sentiment behind the pink sentiment and slightly offset it for a peak of gold glitter. This was then added to the top of the mailbox.

The mailbox was embellished with die cuts from the Peony Garden collection from Mintay and I have added a small envelope made from a die in this Valentine’s Day die set and added some hearts made from pink and gold cardstock in the envelope and on the top behind the sentiment.

To finish I have added some pink jewels to the gold decorative die on the front.

Amazing Paper Grace Gifts For Valentine’s Day

Kia Ora Koutou

Today I have completed an ensemble created with the Amazing Paper Grace Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard dies to go with the Valentine’s Day Card I made here. I have made a small gift box that holds chocolates and a small envelope that would be perfect for a necklace or even a ring! What a perfect way to say I love you on Valentine’s Day. And you could also change the sentiment and create a beautiful ensemble for a wedding as well. I love how versatile Amazing Paper Grace dies are and how easy it is to go outside the box to create so many wonderful gift ideas.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my gift box I made a box measuring:

Length – 4″

Width – 1 1/2″

Height – 2 “

I started with a piece of cream cardstock 8″ x 5 1/2″ and scored each side 2″ in. (oops omitted to add the long side is 4″).

I then trimmed the ends to create the flaps and then assembled the box by gluing the flaps along the long side of the box.

(Use scrap paper to get the measurements correct before using good cardstock).

I die cut two envelope dies out of gold cardstock – just cutting 2/3rds of the die. I die cut the envelope liner out of the ivory paper and adhered it to the front of the gold panels – I had to trim about 1/16″ at the bottom. I die cut two decorative rectangle panels out of ivory cardstock and the shadows out of gold cardstock and these were glued together. The decorative panel was added to the bottom of the decorative envelope liner of both panels. These were then added to both the long sides with the gold and decorative side facing out. I cut a piece of gold card 5/16″ wide and added it to the base of the box.

I die cut six sets of flowers out of ivory pearl cardstock and assembled them. These were glued to the centre of the decorative dies on each side of the box and I also added the leaves that have been die cut out of green cardstock.

I die cut 6 decorative hearts out of ivory cardstock and 6 shadow hearts out of gold stock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Facade Dies. I adhered the gold shadow dies behind the decorative shadow dies and then added a heart on the shorter sides of the box. I got some gold thread and added it through the top eyelets of the side panels. I adhered two hearts to each end of the threads by sandwiching the threads between two hearts.

To finish the box I added gold pearls to the decorative dies and to the centres of the flowers.

To make the envelope I die cut the complete envelope using the envelope die from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Dies out of ivory cardstock. I folded the die cut to create the envelope and adhered it in place. I die cut the decorative heart from the same die set out of ivory cardstock and the shadow out of gold cardstock. The decorative die was added to the top of the gold heart and then added to the top of the envelope. I added a flower and leaves to the top of the heart as shown.

I die cut two extra decorative hearts out of ivory cardstock and added them to each bottom corner and trimmed them to fit.

I added small hook and loop dots to hold the envelope top down to the base.

To finish the envelope I added gold pearls to the flower centres and to the hearts on the bottom of the envelope.

Amazing Paper Grace Adoring You Valentine’s Day Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another Valentine’s Day card to share with you today. This card is full of sparkles, flowers and hearts with a couple of sweet butterflies for a wonderful romantic card that says I love you so beautifully.  I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies to create a beautiful background for the hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard and the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – January 2021 Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox along with some beautiful peony and butterfly ephemera for an olde worlde/shabby chic feel but with a timeless and elegant look. And I was really happy with the colour combination of white, gold and pink that matched the flowers perfectly while the ivory glitter cardstock had hints of gold to create the overall harmonious effect.  Who wouldn’t want to receive this card on Valentine’s Day?

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a top folding 5 7/8″ x 5 7/8″ card out of Pink Sand cardstock. I then layered gold and white cardstock to the front of the card. I die cut the decorative square using the shadow die and the decorative insert dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies. I then die cut the four panels using the inner shadow dies and the decorative insert panels and adhered them to the top of the decorative square. I die cut a plain square out of Ivory glitter cardstock and then adhered the decorative square to the front of the glitter card which was then added to the front of the card to make the base for the embellishments.

I die cut two decorative hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard – one from white cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock. I added the white heart over the gold heart with the gold heart slightly offset to show some glitter. This was then added to a white shadow heart and added to the centre of the decorative square using foam tape.

I die cut three ‘Adoring You’ sentiments using the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Adoring Fleurette Card Builder Dies – two from white cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock. I stacked the three dies together with the gold die slightly offset on top and this was adhered on an angle on the bottom right of the card.

I stamped the ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ sentiment on white cardstock using Wow embossing ink and heat embossed it with fine line gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment out using the tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Adornments Dies and shaped it slightly before adhering the tag to the front of the heart using glue and foam tape slightly on an angle.

I added the pink bow to the top of the tag and then added the flowers and some hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – January 2021 Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentines Mailbox made from gold and pink cardstock. I then added a butterfly to the bottom right of the card.

To finish I added some pink jewels to the tag and the card front as shown.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top folding card out of white cardstock. I layered some gold and white cardstock to create the base for the decorative dies.

To create the decorative base for my embellishments I used the Amazing Paper Grace December 2022 Die of the Month – Sweetheart Envelope and Note Card dies. To start I die cut the outer scallop edged envelope die out of gold cardstock and trimmed the end to fit the card front before adhering to the front of the card. I then die cut the inner notecard die out of white cardstock using the decorative die insert at the shaped end. This was trimmed to fit inside the gold outer die and adhered to the front as shown.

An Amazing Paper Grace Valentine

Kia Ora Koutou

I can now share this Valentine’s Day card that I made as the recipient has now received it. I have used a wide range of Amazing Paper Grace dies to create this beautiful pink and silver card. And as I had most of the flowers already made it did not take me very long to create and I know that the giver of this card was very happy with it.

My Project

I have made a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. The embossed layer was coloured pink by adding Kitsch Flamingo ink to the Amazing Paper Grace Embossing Folder – Orange Peel and that was layered over a silver mat. I have layered a white and silver rectangle panel using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Rectangle Elegant Twist Etched Dies. I added another layer of embossing out of white cardstock using an old Swiss Dots embossing folder.

I have die cut the heart from the Amazing Paper Grace December Die of the Month Dec 22 Sweetheart Envelope & Notecard Set in white and backed it with some beautiful pearlescent vellum and this was added to the panel on an angle. The words are from the Amazing Paper Grace Merry Everything Words Etched Dies and I have used Picked Raspberry to create the ombre effect before adding the words to the card front as shown.

To complete the card I have made flowers and leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched , Amazing Paper Grace Summer Labels Motifs Etched Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Fall Labels Motifs Etched Dies and the butterflies are from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters Etched Dies.

I have used a mix of dimensional flowers and flat flowers to create depth and dimension.

The butterflies have been made using vellum that has been coloured using Picked Raspberry ink before adding the silver accents.

Kia ora Koutou

A very happy Valentine’s Day to you all. Today I have a Triple Point Valentine’s Day card that I have made using the Heartfelt Creations Friendship Rose collection and some painted flowers from the Heartfelt Creations Wedding Rose stamp and die set. This card would be great for a wedding as well. I had started this card when I was creating my samples for the Friendship Rose collection but I ran out of ideas to finish it at the time and finally finished it today. I had already coloured the rose wreath so I was able to use it today with the Decorative Heart die.

For the instructions on how I have made this card please visit here:

I have die cut two extra wreaths out of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and stacked them together and added the painted image at the top for extra depth and dimension to the image.
