Welcome back to another Inspiration Wednesday and today I have a card featuring the beautiful Haven of Daydreams stamp from the Cherry Blossom Collection.

Instructions: 

Cut a piece of white cardstock 11″ x 6 3/4″, score at 5 1/2″ along the long side and fold to create a base card 5 1/2″ x 6 3/4″. Cut a piece of blue checked paper 5 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ and adhere to the front of the card base.

Cut a piece of Iris cardstock 6″ x 4 3/4″ and stamp the bridge image from the HCPC-3869 Haven of Daydreams Stamp set in Jet Black ink. Colour in with the Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and Prismacolour pencils. Add Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter – Diamond glitter to the image with Dries Clear glue. Adhere to the front of the card.

Cut two pieces of white cardstock 6″x 4 3/4″ and die cut the frames using the HCD1-7207 Handstitched Accents die. Glue the two frames together. Cut green paper using the same die and die cut with the 3rd largest rectangle die from the HCD1-7189 Eyelet Rectangle & Basics Die set to create a frame. Add Crystal Clear to green frame using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge and then add the green frame to the white frame, and adhere the frame to the stamped image with foam dots

Stamp the branch image twice from HCPC-3866 Tweet Cherry Blossoms Stamp set in Jet Black ink on the Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Shape and add Crystal Clear glitter with a fairly dry sponge. Adhere one branch to the top left of the frame and trim a branch and add to the bottom right of the frame.

Stamp the leaves from the HCPC-3866 Tweet Cherry Blossoms Stamp set in Library Green ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Leaf Green and Olive inks and die cut with the coordinating die. Shape using the coordinating mold and add Crystal Clear glitter to the leaves with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge. Add over the branches on the top left and the bottom right on the frame.

Stamp the flower images from the HCPC-3866 Tweet Cherry Blossoms Stamp set in Carnation Red ink on Iris cardstock. Colour some images with Carnation Red and some with Pink Peony inks. Die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the back of the flowers with Pink Peony ink and shape using the coordinating mold. When dry add Crystal Clear glitter using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge Add Coral Seas Prills to the centres and then add to the branch at the top left and to the bottom right on the leaves.

Stamp the bird images from the HCPC-3866 Tweet Cherry Blossoms Stamp set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Shape using the coordinating mold and then adhere above the flowers at the top left and bottom right of the frame as shown.

Stamp the spray image from the HCPC-3827 Backyard Blossoms Stamp set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and die cut using the coordinating die. Adhere to the bottom left of the frame.

Welcome back.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to like my posts.  It is lovely to get all the feedback about my crafty endeavours.

Today I am combining my photography with my digital art.   Yesterday I took advantage of the beautiful weather to go down to the Hutt River and take some photos.  The scenery is just amazing there and I managed to get some great photos.  Today I have done a very simple artwork with my StoryBook Creator 4.0 and will look at getting this made into a photo panel to hang on the wall.

Unfortunately, some of the photo was lost translating from a 6 x 4 image to a 12 x 12 image, but the photo is still great.  I did not want to play around with it too much and lose the great colours and depth of field.

In the middle of winter I can look back at this image and it will remind me that winter does end and that summer will come eventually.

To create this all I did was use a full-page photo layout and then just added the freebie sentiment.  Took all of a couple of minutes to do.    How simple is this!  And what a great gift it would be as well.  I will look at making this into a card as well and do something very similar.

Incidentally, despite the glorious weather we are still in drought conditions and we have severe water restrictions which may hamper my photography around my little garden – or it may not… I might see some very different and interesting shapes out in the garden before the big dry ends.
