Home is Where the Heart Is

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back for Inspiration Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations and today I have two projects for you.

I love the subtle colours of the Calla Lily Paper collection and the gorgeous swans and for my first project I have combined the two to create a card that is perfect for a wedding card.  I have used the lovely heart dies, the Sweetheart Borders die and the swans themselves to create a heart motif that any bride and groom would love in a wedding card.  Don’t you just love the gorgeous cottage in this paper?

A Rainbow Wedding

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I have another wedding card. This is a card I have made for my daughter’s friend who got married yesterday. She loves rainbows and the Singing in the Rain Collection was perfect for the rainbow. Of course I had to add some colourful handmade flowers to match the rainbow.

Kia Ora and Welcome Back

Today I would like to share a card that I have just completed.  I have just got in the new 3D embossing folders from Crafter’s Companion and I love this embossing folder – Ornate Lace.  The Heartfelt Creations Classic Roses in vellum complement the folder perfectly and I have nestled the rings from the Classic Wedding Roses stamp and die set amongst the flowers for a lovely and elegant wedding card.  I struggled with putting a sentiment on and ended up die cutting the congratulations out of gold foil card.

Dies – Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose, Classic Wedding Roses, Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiment One

Embossing Folder – Crafter’s Companion 3D Ornate Lace

Inks – Brilliance Pearlescent Coral, Memento Bamboo Leaves, Colorbox Frost White, Versamark

Ranger White embossing powder

Ranger Gold embossing powder

Art Glitter Dries Clear glue

Instructions:

Base Card – cut a piece of white cardstock at 10″ x 7″, score and crease along the long side at 5″ to create a base card of 5″ x 7″.  Cut a piece of white cardstock at 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and emboss using the embossing folder.  Adhere to the front of the card.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the Classic Rose stamp set with the Frost White and heat emboss with the white embossing powder.  Colour the back of the images with the Pearlescent Coral and die cut.  I have pleated the flowers and then adhered them together with the Dries Clear glue.  Add Simply White Nuvo Drops to the centres and let dry.

To make the leaves stamp the image from the Classic Rose stamp set in Frost White and heat emboss with the white embossing powder.  Sponge with Bamboo Leaves ink on the back and die cut with the coordinating die.  I have lightly folded the leaves for dimension.

Add the leaves and roses to the card front as shown.

Stamp the rings image from the Classic Wedding Roses stamp set in Versamark ink and heat emboss with the gold embossing powder.  Die cut with the coordinating die and add Crystal Clear glitter to the diamond.  Nestle the die in the flowers as shown.

Romantic Triple Easel Wedding Card

Welcome Back

I have been meaning to do this triple easel card for sometime as it has intrigued me in how it was done.  I got very good instructions on how to make a triple easel card from Creative Expressions and this is my version of the card.  I can’t find the original post but here is another post with a triple easel card featuring different dies here.  It will give you the general idea about constructing a triple easel card.

20170113_184447-1-2

The original easel card just featured the Fleur de Lis Squares from Spellbinders but I decided to use the Labels 22 from Spellbinders more prominently and was happy with the result as the card was much stronger as well.  Of course I had to put some flowers on the card and the vellum flowers from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose stamp and die set was perfect for the soft romantic finish to the card.

I have used Bridal Tinsel embossing powder on vellum for a sparkly effect and it paired up well with the Angel Pink ink from Memento for just the softest of romantic touches to the white card.  The pearls on the Tied Together embossing folder from Couture Creations just finished off the card.  It is a small card and when folded up should fit in a standard A2 envelope and should be reasonably easy to post.

Here are the side views of the card:

20170113_184420-2

20170113_184407-2

Materials used:

Cardstock – Timbrels White Cardstock

Vellum

Stamps – CTMH Just Sayin’ Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose

Dies – Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares, Labels 22, Fancy Frames Tags Two

Inks – Colorbox Frost White, Versamark, Memento Angel Pink, Bamboo Leaves

Embossing Powder – Ranger White, Bridal Tinsel, Stampendous Aged Ivory

Embossing Folder – Couture Creations Tied Together

Pearls from my stash.

This card, along with most of my other creations are available for sale at Gift Hutt.

Have a good week and Happy Crafting.
