I love this photo. I think my macro photography is improving – still a long way to go though.

My photo of the day. This year I have planted some gazinias in my garden and they have been amazing with such bright colours. This shot is my first attempt at a close macro and I am really pleased with the photo. I am so thrilled with what I can achieve with my camera. This is another photo that will remind me of summer in the midst of winter. I hope you take pleasure in this photo too.
Have a good day and happy snapping

This is my photo of the day. My poor cat is getting fed up with me trying to take photos of him and turns his back on me. However, that doesn’t mean that a back view does not make a good photo. Here he is outside looking out for birds and mice. Tomorrow I will be back to crafts again. I have been working on a template for gifts to take to my Crafty Angels group so will photograph the steps and post them for your information tomorrow. Have a great day.

This image is quite different from what I have been doing, but I love the way the photo goes in and out of focus and highlighting the rain drops.

My final photo of the day. I am really pleased with my efforts today. It makes up for my lean days but I am learning something new everyday. Today I learnt that it is easier to take macro photographs when I use the 1:1 ratio. I am able to get much closer and still use my auto focus. Going manual is very much a work in progress but I am determined to get to the bottom of it. Thank you to Print Sense Photography for making it so easy to understand the terminology of manual photography.

This is the first time I have managed to capture a butterfly. The weather has cooled considerably and the butterflies were slow and lethargic which helped a lot.

Another interesting photo. The rain drops look like diamonds and almost too big for the leaf.
