Pink Fresh Studio Challenge July 2024 – Thanks For Everything

Here is my final submission for the Pink Fresh Studio Challenge July 2024 this month. This month the challenge is using Geometric designs on your projects and the coordinating inks are: Cherry Blossom, Mimosa, Marigold, Summer Shower & Eucalyptus.

To fulfill the challenge brief I have used the suggested inks to colour in the beautiful hot foiled Pink Fresh Studio Peony Fantasy flowers with the coordinating stencils before die cutting the flowers. For the geometric element I have hot foiled the background with the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass Hot Foil Plate. I coloured the background using the challenge inks and the coordinating stencils and I then used the Stained Glass die to cut out the decorative frame out of gold cardstock. I added the die to the background but this time offsetting the gold frame to create more pattern on the background. As I had to trim the die I added a frame from the Pink Fresh Studio Notched Corner dies and I then added the flowers to the top right and bottom left corners.

To complete the card I added Crystal Stickles to the flowers and leave and a hot foiled sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Die set with foam tape and some gold pearls around the flowers and sentiment.

Let’s Celebrate Pink Fresh Studio July 2024 Challenge

Here is my second card for the Pink Fresh Studio Challenge July 2024 this month. This month the challenge is using Geometric designs on your projects and the coordinating inks are: Cherry Blossom, Mimosa, Marigold, Summer Shower & Eucalyptus.

For my card todayI have got my inspiration from Dawn from WPlus9 Design for a pop-up frame card using the Pink Fresh Studio Vines and Roses Stamp, Stencil and Dies set and the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass Hot Foil Plate and die to meet the brief for this challenge. You can get the instructions on how to create a pop-up frame card here. I have switched up her design to make it my own by showing a hot foiled design from the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass Hot Foil Plate through the aperture and using the Pink Fresh Studio Essentials Stitched Scallop Square Dies to create the aperture in the front. I also added a piece of acetate behind the window to allow me to put the scallop edge die in to create the frame as well as adding the hot foiled sentiment on the front.

For the images I have heat embossed the stamped images with gold embossing powder to tie the florals and foliage to the gold in the hot foiled sentiments and background.

And to finish the card I have added some Crystal Stickles to the flowers and leaves and some clear with gold dust gems for some sparkle.

I am enjoying playing with the Pink Fresh Studio Challenge July 2024 this month. This month the challenge is using Geometric designs on your projects and the coordinating inks are: Cherry Blossom, Mimosa, Marigold, Summer Shower & Eucalyptus.

I have gone totally outside my comfort zone with my first (hopefully) card for this challenge and gone with a black and white theme using the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass Die as my geometric element. I have die cut two dies – one from silver glitter paper and one from white cardstock and mixed up this die by putting the white die on top of the silver die upside down to create even more patterns with the die. I have also used the Pink Fresh Studio Essentials Stitched Scallop Square Dies as a diamond in the centre of the card to tie in the diamond geometric theme and also provide a focal point for the sentiment which has been heat embossed with white on black cardstock.

I have coloured the floral images from the Pink Fresh Studio Delighted For You Stamp set using a no line colouring technique and after die cutting the images I have gone around the edges with black Copic marker to help the images blend into the black background. I am not a fan of using grey colours to colour flowers white and for the flowers I used the colours that Dawn from Wplus9 Design demonstrated here and I was very pleased with my first effort. I also used Dawn’s method of adding glitter to the images but next time I will use a much finer glitter but it still looks stunning in real life.

Some silver pearls finish the card and focus on the sentiment.
