Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Wedding Bells

Kia ora Koutou

I have just purchased the beautiful Honey Bee Stamps: Layering Holiday Bells Honey Cuts and started off making a white and gold Christmas card. But I ended up going in a totally different direction in the end and made a wedding card with a bouquet of Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers flowers and leaves. Even though it looks totally different from what I initially imagined I am very happy with the results and I hope you like it too.

My Project.

For my card I have made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of gold card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and added it to the front of the card. I die cut a Delicate Daisy Cover Plate Base and Top out of white cardstock and layered them together before adding them to the front of the card.

I die cut an oval using the Amaizng Paper Grace Elegant Twist Oval dies out of gold cardstock and then die cut one oval using the outer and inner decorative twist dies out of white cardstock and added it to the gold base. I then die cut two decorative twist oval frames out of white cardstock and added it to the base oval which was then added to the front of the card.

I die cut the bells from the Honey Bee Stamps: Layering Holiday Bells Honey Cuts out of white and gold cardstock. I assembled them and then added a gold bow out of the same set and added them to the the inside of the oval frame with foam tape.

I have die cut, coloured and assembled the flowers and leaves from the following dies: Lovely Layers – Dianthus (coloured yellow), rosebuds from the Roses dies – coloured blush and green, leaves and lavenders from the Spring Greenery dies and the gold leaves are from the Winter Greenery set. These were all layered around the top of the bells to ressemble a wedding bouquet. To add a little glamour and sparkle I have added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

To finish my card I have stamped the sentiments from the Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages stamp set in Wow embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiments out using the coordinating die set and added them to the card using foam strips.

I then added some gold pearls around the sentiment.

Let’s Celebrate with Altenew Roses

Kia ora Koutou

I am channeling my inner Bibi Cameron with this gorgeous trellis card featuring a magnificent rose made using the Altenew Craft-a-Flower Garden Rose Layering Die Set. These roses are so beautiful and very easy to create. I have had some technical difficulties with making a video on how I coloured these roses but I will look at doing one shortly.

My project:

I have made the 5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ card according to Bibi’s instructions linked below. I have die cut all the petals and leaves out of Neenah Classic Crest 80Ib White Cardstock and coloured them with the inks I have listed below. I assembled the rose according to the instructions on the packaging and added it to the front of the gate card as shown. I then stamped the sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Stamp and Die Set on white cardstock and die cut it out using the coordinating die and adhered it to the top of the card.

To finish I have added some clear drops to the rose.

Diagonal Trellis Card with Roses

Kia ora Koutou

I have been admiring Bibiana Camerons trellis cards for some time and I had to try one. This one is a diagonal trellis card and they are incredibly easy to make but look amazing. I have decorated the card with roses made from the Birch Press Dainty Rose and Leaves Contour dies which I have coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment is from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiment Stamp and Die Set.

Celebrate with Antique Roses!

Kia Ora Koutou

Today I have something very different to share with you. The Craft-A-Flower layering dies from Altenew are just beautiful and I could not resist the Antique Rose layering dies. These dies do make flower making so incredibly easy and a lovely break from making dimensional flowers.

I have created the base of the card using the Altenew – Diamond Stars 3D Embossing Folder.

I have created a band across the card using the Altenew – Creative Edges: Lace Die. The diamond foil is from Amazing Paper Grace Diamonetta Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken and the sentiment is from the Pink Fresh Studio – Perfect Sentiments.

I have used a combination of cardstock from Spellbinders and Creative Expressions Foundation cardstock. I have also die cut some leaves from vellum for a different texture.
