Let’s Celebrate Honey Bee Stamps

Kia ora Koutou

I have another card featuring Honey Bee Stamps products and this time I have used the Spring Greenery and Birds dies. These are just fabulous and so easy to make cards with.

My project.

I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top folding base card. I then die cut a piece of light blue cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhere it to the front of the card. I have then cut a piece of white cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and die cut it using the Honey Bee Stamps Honey Bee Stamps – Delicate Daisy A2 Cover Plate Base – Honey Cuts. I sponged around the edges with Sky Blue ink and then adhere it to the front of the card. I die cut two dies using the Honey Bee Stamps – Delicate Daisy A2 Cover Plate Top – Honey Cuts, stacked them together and adhered it to the front of the card.

I have die cut the bird using blue, red, black, grey and cream cardstock. I have sponged blue ink on the winds and body of the bird before assembling it and adhering it to the top right of the card.

I have die cut a range of leaves from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Greenery and adhered them on the bottom left of the card. I die cut the flowers out of blue and purple cardstock and sponged the edges with Lavender Fields ink before assembling them and adding them over the leaves.

To finish I have stamped the sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Perfect Sentiments stamp set in Jet Black ink on white cardstock. I have die cut this with the coordinating die and also die cut another plain die. These were adhered together with the stamped image on top and adhere to the bottom right of the card.

Celebrating Your Special Day with Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Rose

Kia ora koutou

I really am getting a little obsessed with the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers dies. Today I have the Lovely Layers Rose to share with you. I have used the same shading technique I used for my peony and it came out lovely. Roses are my favourite flowers and I especially love the Double Delight Rose which is a beautiful full rose with yellow centres and dark pink edges and the most amazing scent. I have tried to replicate this rose with the colours I have used. And every rose deserves an elegant frame and for my card I have used one of my favourite frames from Heartfelt Creations – Fancy Classic Oval Frame. I have gone with my favourite style with a white on white background which allows the pretty rose to pop out and be the hero of the card.

My Project

I have created a side folding 5″ x 7″ card base out of white cardstock. I then cut a piece of white cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and embossed it using the Spellbinders Tufted 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of the card. I die cut two frames out of white cardstock using the dies from the Heartfelt Creations – Fancy Classic Oval Frame. These were stacked together and added to the front of the card with foam strips. I then added a plain oval from the die to the centre of the frame.

I die cut all the flowers and leaves from white cardstock and coloured them with pink, yellow and green inks (listed below the photos). The rose, bud and leaves were assembled according to the instructions from the Honey Bee Stamps website using some foam tape for more dimension. I die cut a plain stem and leaves out of green cardstock and adhered the coloured stem and leaves to it to create more strength for the leaves and stem. The stem, full rose and bud were then added to the centre of the frame.

I stamped the sentiment from an old Heartfelt Creations stamp set – Heartfelt Sentiments in Jet Black ink on white cardstock and die cut this out using the long eyelet rectangle from the Heartfelt Creations Ticket and Tags die. I trimmed the edges and adhered the sentiment to the front of the card as shown.

To finish I have added some clear iridescent gems around the sentiment and the flower and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the rose, bud, stem and leaves for some subtle shine.

Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Peony Birthday Wishes

Kia ora Koutou

Welcome back and today I am featuring the stunning Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Peony die. I have been watching a video on YouTube by Dawn Woleslagle at Wplus9 Design on how to colour the layered flowers from Honey Bee Stamps using ink blending to create depth and dimension. So I purchased the Peony die and had a go and I was thrilled with the result. There is so much texture to the flowers and leaves even though they are actually flat. I will definitely be doing more of this colouring.

My Project

I have created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. I then cut a piece of white glitter paper that has been in my stash for too many years 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and coloured the whole piece with Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll inks and added it to the front of the card. I then die cut two dies from the Honey Bee Stamps Delicate Daisy A2 Cover Plate Top out of white cardstock. I adhered the two dies together and placed them over the sparkly green card front.

I die cut all the pieces of the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Peony die out of white cardstock and coloured them with Light and Medium Carnation inks for the flower and buds and Light and Medium Spruce for the leaves. I assembled the flowers and buds together using some foam tape for dimension. I added the leaves to the bottom right of the card and then adhered the buds around the leaves. The large peony was added using some foam squares.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beccy’s Place Stamp Set – Blue Wren in Obsidian ink on white cardstock and die cut the banner out using the Heartfelt Creations Arrows and Banners Die set. I then adhered the sentiment to the card front with foam squares.

To finish I added some sweet ladybirds from Susan’s Garden Forget-Me-Knots and Ladybugs that I had in my stash and added them around the flowers and leaves. I then added some clear iridescent gems to the centres of the daisies on the decorative daisy die

Hello Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers Dogwood Flowers

Kia ora Koutou

I am really loving the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Honey Cuts and I have another gorgeous card to share with yo featuring the Lovely Layers – Dogwood Flowers. This is such a gorgeous set and I have just purchased the birds from Honey Bee Stamps and I can’t wait to make some more cards with the flowers and birds together. I love the soft pastels of these flowers and they really pop with the blue ink blended background.

My Project:

I have made a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of white cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and ink blended blue and pale yellow inks. I die cut two Honey Bee Stamps Delicate Daisy A2 Cover Plate Top out of white cardstock, glued them together and the added this to the front of the card.

I die cut two base layers of the Dogwood dies and adhered them together. I then coloured the stems with brown copic markers to create the branches. The flowers and leaves were die cut separately and coloured using Pink Fresh Studio inks – Grassy Knoll, Key Lime and Bubble Gum. These were added to the branches and I then added the branches and flowers to the front of the card as shown.

Celebrating with Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Magnolia – Honey Cuts

Kia ora Koutou

I have a very pretty card to share with you today featuring the gorgeous Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers Magnolia – Honey Cuts. This is a beautiful flower with lots of details and was so easy to colour and put together. The pink flower really pops as I have used a complementary colour – green to coordinate with the pink. I am definitely going to invest in more Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers flowers as they are just stunning.

My project today

I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock. I then layered black and white cardstock using my Crafty Corners. I cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and stenciled the brick background using Mint ink and the Gina K Designs – Stencils – Brick Wall. This was then added to the card front to create the base for the leaves and flowers.

I die cut the large leaves from the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery – Honey Cuts out of Neenah Classic Crest 80Ib White Cardstock. I coloured them with Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll and Key Lime inks and shaped them lightly with my fingers. I then trimmed the ends and added them to the card front creating a corner on the lower left of the card.

I have die cut all the leaves and flowers from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers Magnolia – Honey Cuts out of Neenah Classic Crest 80Ib White Cardstock. I coloured the petals with Ballet Slippers and Sparkling Rose inks before assembling the flower using foam tape to pop the petals. I then die cut the leaves from the same card and coloured them with Mint, Meadow and Emerald City inks. These were shaped lightly using my fingers. I added the leaves to the bottom left over the larger leaves using some foam tape for dimension. I then added the magnolia to the top of the leaves with some foam tape.

I stamped the sentiments from the Pink Fresh Studio – Basic Banners Stamp Set in Altenew Obsidian Black ink on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. I then die cut two more banners using plain cardstock and stacked three banners together with the stamped image on top. This was added to the top of the card as shown.

To finish I have added some clear iridescent gems to the card for a bit of sparkle.
