Sparkling butterflies are fluttering around the garden flowers in this birthday card I made for inspiration Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 10” x 7”, score at 5” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 5” x 7”. Cut a piece of blue pattern paper 5” x 7” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of white cardstock 4 5/8” x 6 5/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of pale blue pattern paper 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ and adhere to the front of the white cardstock. Die cut the outer decorative frame out of white cardstock using the No. 1 and No. 2 dies from the HCD2-7339 Regal Lattice Gateway Die set and adhere to the front of the card with thin foam strips. Die cut the inner lattice die out of white cardstock using the No. 2 and No. 3 dies from the HCD2-7339 Regal Lattice Gateway Die set and adhere to the centre of the frame.

Stamp the leaf and flower images from the HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Ultrafine Glitter using clear gloss gel medium. Trim the ends and add the leaf and flowers to the centre of the frame over the lattice as shown.

Die cut a tag from the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags Die set out of white cardstock. Trim the long decorative edge and adhere to the base of the flowers as shown with foam squares. Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3843 Special Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp set in Jet Black ink on white cardstock and die cut with the inner die from the tag and adhere it to the front of the tag.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3953 Small Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set and HCPC-3951 Large Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Ultrafine glitter using clear gloss gel medium to the smaller butterflies and with 3D Crystal lacquer to the larger butterfly. Adhere to the card as shown.

To finish, add pearls to the lattice and corners as shown.

Spring is coming out for many people in the world and the flowers are starting to bloom and the butterflies are starting to emerge. This birthday card for Heartfelt Creations is inspired by a garden of flowers with hovering butterflies.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 12” x 6”, score at 6” along the long side and fold to create a base card of 6” x 6”. Cut a piece of silver cardstock 6” x 6” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of purple pattern paper 5 7/8” x 5 7/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of pale purple pattern paper 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4”. Die cut the decorative frame out of silver cardstock using the No. 2 and No. 3 dies from the HCD1-7283 Courtyard Elegance Die set. Using the decorative die as a template die cut the circle from the pale purple paper and then adhere this behind the decorative die. Adhere this to the front of the card with two layers of heavy cardstock.

Stamp the fern and flower images from the HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set in Vivid Chartreuse ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the flowers with French Ultramarine and Buttercup inks. Finish colouring with colour pencils and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Ultrafine Crystal glitter to images with clear gloss gel medium. Trim and adhere to the centre of the frame.

Stamp the zinnia images from the HCPC-3923 Large Zinnia Cling Stamp set and HCPC-3924 Small Zinnia Cling Stamp set in Violet ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the centres with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the petals with Pretty Petunia inks and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the edges with Cactus Flower ink and the backs with Pretty Petunia ink and shape using the coordinating molds. Assemble and add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel. Pierce the centres and insert the purple pearl stamens and green rock candy stamens and add glue to fasten. Once dry trim the threads and adhere to the card as shown.

For the buds, stamp the small flower images from the HCPC-3923 Large Zinnia Cling Stamp set in Library Green and Violet inks. Colour the green images with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the purple images with Vivid Chartreuse and Pretty Petunia inks and die cut with the coordinating die. Colour the back of the green petals with Vivid Chartreuse ink and the purple flowers with Pretty Petunia ink. Colour the edges of the purple flowers with Cactus Flower ink and then shape with the coordinating mold. For the open bud, assemble with two purple petals and one green petal and insert the purple and green stamens. For the closed bud, assemble one purple and one green flower. Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel and then adhere around the bigger flowers as shown.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3923 Large Zinnia Cling Stamp set and HCPC-3924 Small Zinnia Cling Stamp set in Library Green ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour with Vivid Chartreuse ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse ink and shape using the coordinating molds. Add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel and then adhere around the flowers as shown.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set and HCPC-3953 Small Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Ultrafine Crystal glitter using Dried Clear glue on the accents and small clear sparkles. Adhere to the card as shown.

Stamp the birthday sentiment from the HCPC-3843 Special Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp set in Jet Black ink on the tag in the paper collection. Die cut with the coordinating die from the HCD1-7202 Album Tags & Accents Die set and adhere to the bottom left.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock 8” x 7”, score at 3 1/2″ along the 7” side and fold to create a base card of 8” x 3 1/2″. Cut a piece of purple plaid paper 7 7/8” x 3 3/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of white cardstock 7 9/16” x 3 1/8”. Cut a piece of light green pattern paper 3” x 7 1/2″ x 3” and adhere to the front of the white cardstock. Die cut three circles out using the No 5 die from the HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large Die cut small frames out of purple pattern paper using the No. 4 and No. 5 dies from the HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large Die and adhere to the circles as shown. Adhere this panel to the card front using fun foam.

Stamp the flowers and fern image from the HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Ultrafine Glitter using clear gloss gel medium. Trim the ferns and flowers and adhere to the insides of the circles as shown.

Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3843 Special Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp set in Jet Black ink on white cardstock. Die cut using the small rectangle die from the HCD-7203 Ornamental Tags Die set, mat with purple pattern paper and adhere to the centre circle as shown.

Stamp the butterfly images from the HCPC-3953 Small Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set and HCPC-3951 Large Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. Add Crystal Ultrafine Glitter using 3D Crystal Lacquer. Add large butterflies to the top and bottom circles and a small one over the sentiment on the centre circle as shown.

Butterflies have come fluttering into Heartfelt Creations with the launch of the Floral Butterfly collection. There is a butterfly in a wide range of sizes and shapes to suit all your crafting needs. I really loved colouring in this large butterfly and I have a second card coming in another post.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock 6” x 12”, score at 6” along the long side and fold to create a base card 6” x 6”. Cut a piece of purple paper 5 7/18” x 5 7/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of white cardstock 5 5/8” x 5 5/8” and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a piece of light green pattern paper 5 1/2” x 5 1/2″ and adhere to the front of the white cardstock.

Die cut the decorative circle die using the No. 4 die from the HCD1-7283 Courtyard Elegance Die set and the No. 2 die from the HCD1-7271 Rounded Window Frame Die set out of white cardstock. Die cut a separate frame using the No. 2 die from the HCD1-7271 Rounded Window Frame Die set and the No. 1 die from the HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large die set. Adhere the frame to the base circle dies. Die cut a circle out of purple pattern paper using the No. 1 die from the HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large Die set and adhere to the back of the decorative circle die and then adhere to the front of the card.

Stamp the large butterfly image from the HCPC-3951 Large Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour With Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the No. 2 die from the coordinating die. Add Ultrafine Crystal glitter to all the decorations on the wings with Dries Clear Glue. Adhere to the front over the decorative circle die with foam dots as shown.

Inside card: Cut a piece of purple paper 5 7/18” x 5 7/8” and adhere to the inside of the card. Cut a piece of white cardstock 5 5/8” x 5 5/8” and adhere to the inside of the card. Cut a piece of light green pattern paper 5 1/2” x 5 1/2″ and adhere to the front of the white cardstock.

Die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment from the HCD2-7351 Ironwork Sentiments Die set out of white cardstock. Die cut the outer die out from purple cardstock using the outer frame die and adhere the sentiment on and then adhere to the centre of the inside back.
