Today I Choose Sweet Peony Card and Foam Peony Corsage

Today for Inspiration Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations I have two projects to show you.  First is a card that features both the Lush Lilacs and the gorgeous  Sweet Peony.  I think the paper I have used on this card is my favourite from this set.  It is gorgeous and so subtle and beautiful in a background.

Other – iCraft wooden embellishment, Apple Blossom Swirly Flourish embossing folder, foam tape, Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender, Versamagic Sweet Petunia

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 10” x 7”, score at 5” to create a base card of 7” x 5”.  Cut a piece of white cardstock 6” x 6” and emboss using the Swirly Flourish embossing folder.  Cut each end of the embossed card 2” x 5” and adhere to the top and bottom of the card.  Cut a piece of the patterned paper 7” x 5” and cut each end using the plain cutting edge of the …  Die cut 2 pieces of the eyelet pattern trim in white cardstock and adhere to the edges of the cut paper.  Trim the edges and then adhere the paper to the base card with foam tape.

Die cut the largest eyelet oval from the HCD1-7157 Eyelet Oval & Basics Large in white cardstock.  Die cut the smallest eyelet oval from the HCD1-7156 Eyelet Oval & Basics Small in the pink patterned paper and adhere to the white oval.  Stamp the image from the HCPC-3815 Words of Comfort Stamp in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock and then die cut this out with the largest plain oval die from the HCD1-7156 Eyelet Oval & Basics Small die set.  Adhere to the eyelet oval stack and then adhere to the card.  Adhere the wooden flourish to the left of the oval.

Stamp the images from both the HCD1-7173 HCPC-3t9 Small Sweet Peony Cling Stamp and the HCPC-3819 Small Sweet Peony Cling Stamp in Rouge ink on white cardstock.  Colour the images in Rouge ink and then die cut with the corresponding dies.  Shape the flowers using the HCFB1-464 Basic Flower Shaping Mold, allow to dry and assemble with a combination of the large and small images to make large flowers and buds.   Add Crystal Clear glitter to the flowers with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge.  Adhere at the bottom of the card as shown.

Stamp the leaf images from the both the HCD1-7173 HCPC-3819 Small Sweet Peony Cling Stamp and the HCPC-3819 Small Sweet Peony Cling Stamp in Bamboo Leaves ink on white cardstock.  Colour with New Sprout ink and die cut with the coordinating die. Sponge the edges and centres with Bamboo Leaves ink, shape and adhere around the peony as shown.

Stamp two large lilac spray from the HCPC-3816 Lush Lilac Cling Stamp in Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and colour in with Lavender ink for the flowers and Bamboo Leaves ink for the leaves.  Trim and adhere above the peony – one behind the other.

Stamp the lilacs from the HCPC-3816 Lush Lilac Cling Stamp in Pearlescent Lavender ink, sponge with the Lavender ink and the Sweet Petunia ink and die cut with the corresponding die.  Shape the lilacs with the HCFB1-466 Lush Lilac Mold, allow to dry and adhere the lilacs l over the large lilac sprays.   Add Crystal Clear glitter to the lilacs with Glue Gloss with Dries Clear Glue on a damp sponge.

To make the small leaves stamp the images from the HCPC-3811 Rain Boots and Blossoms Stamp set in Bamboo Leaves on white cardstock.  Colour the images with Bamboo Leaves and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere around the peonies to the left and right of the peony.

Stamp the dandelion images in Tuxedo Black ink, colour with Bamboo Leaves ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Add micro beads to the centre with Dries Clear glue and allow to dry.  Add Crystal Clear glitter with Dries Clear glue and adhere the dandelions to the card around the lilacs at the top.

Instructions:

Stamp the images from HCPC-3819 Small Sweet Peony Cling Stamp and HCPC-3820 Large Sweet Peony Cling Stamps in Cherry Pink ink on Art Foam Paper and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Colour with Rouge ink.  Heat, shape and assemble with a hot glue gun.  Insert three yellow stamens in the centre and set them with hot glue.

Stamp the leaves with Forest Green ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour in with Lime Pastel ink and the green stamp paint.  Heat and shape and adhere to the base of the peony with hot glue.

Stamp the lilacs from the HCPC-3816 Lush Lilac Cling Stamp in Pearlescent Lavender ink, sponge with the Lavender ink and die cut with the corresponding die.  Shape the lilacs with the HCFB1-466 Lush Lilac Mold, allow to dry and insert a stamen and set with hot glue.   Add Crystal Clear glitter to the lilacs with Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge.  Twist several lilac stems together to create a 3d lilac effect and add to the stamen stem of the peony to make a corsage.  Apply florist tape to the stem.

Die cut the tag dies and adhere them to the stem with hot glue.  Make a double bow with the organza and satin ribbons and adhere over the tags.

This week I have two cards featuring the beautiful papers, stamps and dies from the Heartfelt Love Collection.  First up is this beautiful card that was quick to make using the gorgeous papers and a pretty die for the base of the card.  In fact this was made within a day of getting my DT box of goodies.  I loved using the Art Foam paper for the flowers and they complemented the card really well.

Other – Spellbinders 5” x 7” Detailed Scallops, Stazon Forest Green, Foam tape, Glue Gloss, Centura Pearl White cardstock

Instructions: To make the base card cut two large detailed scallop cards from the Centura Pearl cardstock.  Score along the edge of the scallops on one of the pieces and adhere to the base by adding Dries Clear glue to the scallops to make a hinged card.

Cut the panel from the paper collection and die cut the oval using the HCD1-7157 Eyelet Oval & Basics Large Die from the centre of the card.  Sponge the edges of the frame with Lilac Posies ink and adhere to the base card with foam tape.  Adhere the inner oval to the card using Dries Clear glue.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the HCPC-3773 Flowering Dogwood Flowers Stamp on the foam paper with Lilac Posies ink.  Sponge the centres of the flowers with New Sprout ink and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Sponge gently on the edges of the flowers with Lilac Posies ink.  Heat the foam and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit.  Adhere the flowers together with Dries Clear glue and leave to set.  Add Crystal Clear to the petals with glue gloss.  Pierce a hole through the centre of the flowers and add the stamens.  Glue around the base of the flowers before trimming the stamen ends and add to the card as shown.

To make the leaves stamp the images from the HCPC-3773 Flowering Dogwood Flowers Stamp on the foam paper using the Forest Green ink and die cut using the coordinating die.  Sponge the leaves with the Lime Pastel ink.  Heat and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and add around the flowers as shown.

My second card is a gatefold wedding card for a special occasion.  The stamps and dies coordinate so well with the Classic Rose collection.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 12” x 6”, score at 3 ½” x * ½” and fold to create the gatefold.  Using the cutting edge of the HCD1-7161 Sweetheart Borders Die cut both ends of the card.  Die cut the lacy die and adhere it to the sides of the card.

To make the leaves on the front stamp the leaf images from the HCPC3753Classic Rose Vines Cling Stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink.  Sponge the leaves with Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk inks and die cut with the coordinating die.  Shape and adhere to the front of the card as shown.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Cling Stamp set in Pearlescent Coral, sponge the centres with Canteloupe inks and die cut.  Shape the flowers using the HCST1-401 Deluxe Shaping Kit and assemble as shown and adhere to the leaves on the front as shown.

Stamp the bride and groom image from the HCPC-3789 Classic Wedding Bells Cling stamp set using Tuxedo Black on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the groom’s clothes with Tuxedo Black using the Dove Blender pen.  Adhere above the flowers on the right fold as shown.

Cut a piece of white organza ribbon approximately 24”.  Using a craft knife cut a small slit in the folds on both sides and thread the ribbon through.  Cut a piece of the pink heart patterned paper as 6” x 5 7/16” and adhere to the centre of the card. Cut the outer semi circular die from the HCD1-7144 Decorative Medallion Die from white cardstock and then die cut the decorative die and adhere to the top of the base die.  Adhere to the top of the card as shown.

Stamp the image from the HCPC-3803 Banners of Love Stamp set in versamark ink and heat emboss with Silver embossing powder.  Colour the image in with Bamboo Leaves, Pearlescent Coral and Cantloupe inks and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere to the centre of the decorative medallion die as shown.

Die cut the dark pink patterned paper with the second largest Eyelet Heart die from the HCD1-7162 Eyelet Hearts Die and adhere to the centre of the card.  Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3804 Heartfelt Love Sentiments Stamp set with Versamark ink and heat emboss with silver embossing powder on white cardstock.  Die cut the heart using the next size down plain heart die from the HCD1-7162 Eyelet Hearts Die   and adhere to the eyelet heart as shown in the middle of the card.

Birthday Hoot

Here is my second post for the Heartfelt Creations blog today using the new Art Foam paper.  I have used three different collections making this card today.  The paper and sentiment is from the Classic Petunia collection, the owl and the cage from the Sugar Hollow collection and the flowers are from the Flowering Dogwood collection.  The Flowering Dogwood flowers are so easy to make with the Art Foam paper.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score at 4 ¼” and fold to create a base card of 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut a piece of patterned paper 4 ¼” x 5 1/2” and adhere to the front of the card at the edges only.  Die cut the oval out of the front of the card using the largest cutting edge of the HCD1-7156 Eyelet Oval & Basis Small die set.  Adhere the patterned oval paper to the inside of the card.  Die cut the eyelet oval frame from the pink patterned paper using the HCD1-7157 Eyelet Oval & Basics Large Die and the largest plain die from the HCD1-7156 Eyelet Oval & Basis Small die set and adhere around the edge of the oval.

Stamp the bird cage from the HCPC-3718 Sugar Hollow Bungalow stamp with Tuxedo Black on white cardstock.  Sponge the main cage with Toffee Crunch ink.  Colour the leaves with the Prismacolour pencils and die cut with the coordinating die.  Using a damp sponge apply the gold stamp paint lightly on the birdcage.  Adhere the birdcage to the oval on the front of the card.

To make the flowering dogwoods stamp the images from the HCPC-3773 Flowering Dogwoods Flower stamp set in Lilac Posies ink on foam paper and die cut using the coordinating die.  Colour the edges lightly with Lilac Posies and the centres with New Sprout ink.  Heat and shape using the flower shaping tools.  Adhere together with the hot glue gun.  Add Crystal Clear to the petals with the glue gloss pen.  Add the stamens to the centres and add to the top of the birdcage and to the bottom left of the birdcage as shown.

To make the leaves stamp the images from the HCPC-3773 Flowering Dogwoods Flower stamp set in Forest Green ink on foam paper and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour with Lime Pastel ink, heat and shape using the flower shaping kit.  Adhere to the card around the flowers.

To make the owl stamp the image from the HCPC-3718 Sugar Hollow Bungalow stamp set with Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  Sponge the owl with Toffee Crunch and Peanut Brittle inks.  Finish colouring with the Prismacolour pencils.  Shape lightly and adhere to the front of the birdcage as shown.

Stamp the birthday sentiment from the HCPC-3785 Small Classic Petunia stamp set on the pink patterned paper. Trim and dovetail the edge.  Adhere to the card as shown.

Floral Birdcage

I am so excited to see that Heartfelt Creations has released foam paper for making flowers and there is such a fabulous range of stamens to choose from to add to the centre of the flowers.  When I saw this gorgeous birdcage from Imagine Iheartfeltcreations.us/…/debuting-art-foam-paper-and-flower-stamensf I knew that I had to make it with these flowers and I was very happy at how it turned out.  Luckily the Christmas Shop had opened just down the road and I was able to get the birds to finish it off.

Instructions:

Assemble the birdcage as per instructions.  Apply 3 coats of the Voodoo Molly Vintage paint and allow to dry.  Apply pearls around the top and on the middle as shown.  Apply pearls to the centre of the rosette flowers on the ribbon and adhere around the top and bottom as shown using Dries Clear Glue.

To make the leaves stamp the images from the HCPC-3545 Open Leaf stamp set in Stazon Forest Green onto the foam paper and die cut.  Colour with Lime Pastel ink, heat and shape using the flower shaping tools.  Adhere to the birdcage from the top over to the right of the bird cage opening with the hot glue gun.

To make the roses stamp the images from the HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Stamp in Stazon Cherry Pink on the foam paper and die cut with the coordinating die.  Sponge the centres with Canteloupe ink and lightly sponge the outer petals with Pearlescent Coral.  Heat and shape using the flower shaping tools.  Add a stamen from the HCS1-459-3 Pastel Bead Medium set to the centre of the smallest petal and using a hot glue gun make a bud.  Add the next size up petal and adhere with the hot glue gun.  Add more layers of petals to make bigger roses as shown

To make the Lilies stamp the images from the HCPC-3720 Sunrise Lily stamp set on foam paper with Black Cherry ink and die cut with the coordinating dies.  Colour the flowers with Pearlescent Coral, heat and shape by twisting the petals and using the flower shaping tools.  Add the stamens from HCS1-459-4 Rock Candy Small to the centres of the flowers and add the flowers to the birdcage as shown with a hot glue gun.  To make the leaves stamp the leaf image with Forest Green ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the leaf with Lime Pastel ink, heat and shape using the flower shaping tools.  Add around the flowers with the hot glue glun.

To make the daisy leaves stamp the images from the HCPC-3656 Delightful Daisies stamp set using Forest Green on the foam paper and die cut with the coordinating die.  Colour the leaves with Lime Pastel, heat and shape using the flower shaping tools.  Add to the sides of the doorway of the birdcage using a hot glue gun.

To make the daisies stamp the images from the HCPC-3656 Delightful Daisies stamp set in New Sprout on the foam paper and die cut with the coordinating die.  Heat and shape the flowers using the flower shaping tools.  Add the stamens from the HCS1-459-1 Pastel Pearl Small set and then adhere to the sides of the birdcage with the hot glue gun.

To make the little forget-me-knot flowers stamp the images from the HCPC-3769 Wildwood Florals stamp set in Pearlescent Blue Sky ink on foam paper and die cut with the coordinating die.  Very lightly sponge the edges with the Pearlescent Blue Sky ink, heat and shape using the flower shaping too.  Adhere two flowers together and add a stamen from the HCS1-459-3 Pastel Bead Medium set to the centre.  Trim the stamens and adhere around the base of the birdcage as shown with a hot glue gun.Add the birds as shown with the hot glue gun.
