Amazing Paper Grace Vellum Layered Cherry Blossoms

I am always looking for different ways to make flowers for my cards. I had made this pretty card using the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Classics Collection by Becca Feeken as a demonstration on how you can emboss these dies for an elegant finish for the Amazing Paper Grace – Encouragement Community on Facebook. I needed some delicate flowers to match the pretty background so I looked at the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossoms Dies and they were the perfect size for this card. This time I made the flowers from vellum and there is a tutorial in the Amazing Paper Grace – Encouragement Community. Click on this link and answer the questions to join this group for this tutorial and many others.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have made a base card of 5″ x 5″ out of white cardstock. I have layered the Square Candlewick Classic die with the Round Doily and Circle Candlewick Classic dies to create the base for the flowers, sentiment and butterfly. I also put some pearlescent vellum behind the Round Doily to help this die stand out from the background.

I added the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Occasions Sentiments Hot Foil Plate which had been reverse foiled with gold foil with some foam squares. I then added the flowers, leaves and branches to the right of the centre and sentiment. To finish I added a pretty butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies that has been made from vellum and given some sparkle with glitter. Finally I added some pink iridescent jewels to the centre of the flowers and around the sentiment.

Easter Lilies

Today I am sharing an elegant clean and simple Easter card with you. I recently purchased this gorgeous Nellie’s Choice embossing folder called Cross with Lilies. This folder is so pretty and does not need many embellishments and today I have used it for an Easter card but it could be used as a sympathy card instead.

My Project Today

My card base is 5 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ – slightly larger than a normal A5 card so that I could create some layers behind the embossed layer. I have handmade some lilies using the Garden Lily flowers from Heartfelt Creations out of Rajni Chawla’s flower shaping paper. The leaves behind it are from the Creative Expressions Finishing Touches – Leafy Branches. The sentiment is from Amazing Paper Grace Merry Everything Words Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken.

To finish the card I have dusted the flowers with some glitter after painting the flowers with a clear gloss gel medium.

Amazing Paper Grace Irises and Hexagons

Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by the colours of my handcrafted irises. I have used the stunning Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Etched Dies by Becca Feeken to create a lovely decorative background for the Amazing Paper Grace French Braid and Hexagon Etched Dies from the Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feeken. The hexagon panel fitted perfectly over the decorative background. To complete the card I have made a bouquet made using irises I created from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go IV Etched Dies – they were the perfect dies because of the three petals and irises have 6 petals. This card would be perfect for any celebratory occasion – birthday, milestone, wedding…

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project Today

I have created a 5″ x 7″ card based and layered gold, pale blue and lilac cardstock to create the base to the decorative dies. I have then die cut the decorative die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace die out of gold cardstock making sure that I also embossed this die and placed it on the front of the card. I then made the panel from the Amazing Paper Grace French Braid and Hexagon Panels Etched Dies using blue, purple and gold hexagons and added it to the front of the decorative die. The sentiment banner is from the Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Pierced Banners Etched Dies and I have added the sentiment die from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2020 – Elegant Infinity.

I have handcrafted the irises from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go IV Etched Dies using Rajni Chawla’s Flower Shaping Paper and adhered them to the side of the panel with leaves and accents from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Tulip Etched dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month August 2022 – Peekaboo Trellis Etched Dies. To finish the floral bouquet I have added some fillers made using yellow Prills and florist wire.

The sweet butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Etched Dies completes the card.

The sentiment has been curved a little to fit the curved banner.

I have created a pretty petal pattern with the hexagon panel using a mix of the purple, blue and gold hexagons.

The leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Tulip Etched dies were perfect for the irises.

I have used a hot glue gun to add the Lemon Chiffon Prills to some florist wire to create the filler flowers.

I have made the butterfly out of vellum and gold cardstock to coordinate with the background colours. I have used Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac to colour the wings.

Amazing Paper Grace Quilty Hugs and Daisies

We are in ‘summer time’ here in New Zealand but since the start of the new year we have had a lot of rain and little sunshine so I thought I would cheer myself up with a bright and summery card using the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace Quilted Stained Glass Window Etched Dies from Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feeken from the The Home Sweet Quilt Collection. I used a cheerful yellow and white combination and decorated my card with handcrafted daisies and a sweet butterfly. This card certainly brightened my craft room!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project:

For my project today I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base from Snowdrift cardstock. I have embossed a piece of 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ Chamomile cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Orange Peel Quilt Embossing Folder and layered it on top of the card. I have created a semi-circle using the quilt dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Quilted Stained Glass Window Etched Dies and inlaid with Beeswax and Chamomile to achieve a starburst effect. I have placed this semicircle on my card front and added a lace band to the left using the Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Slimline Borders Etched Dies for my flowers to lie on.

To complete my card I have handcrafted daisies from the Amazing Paper Grace Daisy Delight Garden Shutters A2 Card Base Etched Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go V flowers and added them to the band on the left of the semi-circle. I added leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motifs Etched Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – August 2022 Peekaboo Trellis from Rainforest and Peridot cardstock.

No floral card is complete without a butterfly and I have added a sweet butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5 x 7″ Card Base Etched Dies.

Finally I have added the sentiment dies from the mazing Paper Grace Log Cabin and Flower Mini Quilts Etched Dies in gold.

There is a tutorial in the Amazing Paper Grace – Encouragement Community on how I have made these flowers here. If you are not a member feel free to ask to join and don’t forget to answer the questions.

I have used two different colours of yellow to represent the sun.

I have die cut two sentiments – one from Snowdrift and one from gold cardstock and stacked them together with the gold on top before adding them to the card front.

I have used the same colours from the card in the butterfly to help with tying the whole card together.

The green foliage helps the daisies really pop on the side of the card.

I have used two different sets of daisy flower dies to create depth and dimension for my florals.

Amazing Paper Grace Quilty Friends

I am learning so much about quilting patterns using the Amazing Paper Grace The Home Sweet Quilt Collection – I never realised that there were so many different combinations you can get with one pattern! I have been late to the ink blending party and I have admired all those that ink blend with ease. Today I have a pretty pink and feminine card to share with you featuring the gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Eight Point Star Etched Dies from Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feeken. I have ink blended the background for a soft and romantic feel to the card and allow the quilted pattern to shine. Handcrafted flowers, a sweet butterfly and white satin bows add a shabby chic finish.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a base card of 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″. I have added some Picked Raspberry ink to one side of the Amazing Paper Grace Orange Peel Quilt Embossing Folder before embossing the white cardstock. This gave me a soft pink embossed card to add over a silver layer on the card front. I have added white and silver layers over the embossed card using the largest dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Postage Edge Squares Etched dies. I have ink blended the backgrounds of the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Eight Point Star Etched Dies before adding the outline and decorative dies in white on top. I decided to keep the decorative elements to a minimum and just create a star. I have used inked vellum for the centre motifs and then added the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Quilty Hugs Sentiments Clear Stamp which has been die cut using the sentiment strip die from the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Eight Point Star Etched Dies. To finish I have added a mix of dimensional and flat flowers using the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motifs Etched Dies, mazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motifs Etched Dies from Seasonal Label Motifs Collection by Becca Feeken, Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Flowers V Etched Dies. The butterfly has been made from vellum and is from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motifs Etched Dies. I finished the card with pearls around the edge of the quilted motif.

I put all the base pieces into the pattern and taped them together so I could ink blend the pieces from the centre out. This way I was able to get an even blend.

I inked the centre background motif on vellum with picked Raspberry. I then layered the vellum onto white cardstock before adding to the centre of the card as shown.

I die cut 4 layers of the sentiment die and stacked them together for more dimension.

Designers Tip:

I would place the quilt bases on the card front first before adding the outline and decorative inlay dies to the front. I ended up adding a row of pearls to kept the outer edge straight.
