Amazing Paper Grace Hello It’s Your Birthday Card

Kia ora Koutou

I often like to make more than one card at a time when I have a die out just to get a feel of how versatile the die set is. And the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2019 – Spun Blessing Oval Etched Dies was no exception. For my card today I have used the small decorative side panels to create a pretty background for the sweet flowers and the sentiment and I kept the same colour combination that I used in the previous card as it was just beautiful and elegant. This card was very quick and easy to made and great to have in my stash.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of ivory pearl card to fit on top of the card.

I die cut the frame using the largest frame dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Rectangle Etched Dies out of ivory pearl cardstock and made sure to emboss the die to get the texture and dimension from the die. I die cut a shadow frame out of silver cardstock by removing the decorative die from the frame. I adhered the silver shadow frame to the decorative frame and then adhere the frame to the front of the card using foam strips.

I die cut the panel out of green pearl cardstock by using the decorative side pattern twice to create a 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ and this was adhered to the front of the card. I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Giving Occasions Stamp and Die Set in Versamark ink on the green pearl cardstock and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I die cut this out with the coordinating die from the same stamp and die set. The sentiment was then added to the card with foam squares.

I die cut the word ‘Hello’ using the die from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2021 – Tiara Trifold Etched Dies three times – once from silver cardstock and twice with pearl green cardstock. I stacked these dies toghether with the silver die on top and then added it at an angle above the sentiment as shown.

I die cut flowers out of pink cardstock and leaves out of a mint coloured green cardstock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies. I added some flowers and leaves from the top right and bottom left of the card and finished the card by adding some pearls to the centres of the flowers.

An Amazing Paper Grace Rose and Filigree Birthday Card

Kia Ora Koutou

One of my favourite colour combinations when making cards is pink and gold and today I have a gorgeous birthday card just full of pink and gold with a touch of ivory. In June of this year I made a totally different card (for me that is) using the Amazing Paper Grace Rose and Filigree Duo Slip in Card Etched Dies that was full of drama with a black and red colour combination and yet was very easy to make using the ‘slip in’ component of the dies. You can see the card here. For today’s card I have used the rose filigree decorative dies to create a beautiful background for some layered dies, some cherry blossoms and a lovely birthday sentiment finished with a coordinating pink and gold silk ribbon bow.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have created a top folding 5″ x 6 card out of white cardstock. I trimmed a piece of pink and cream striped paper from Mintay and added added a strip of pink and gold ribbon down the centre of the paper before adding it to the front of the card.

I die cut four decorative rose filigree dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Rose and Filigree Duo Slip in Card Etched Dies – two from pink cardstock and two from gold cardstock. The gold dies were adhered behind the pink dies slightly offset for a hint of gold. These dies were then added to the front of the card.

I die cut a piece of pink cardstock using the base die from the same die set and used my trimmer to cut a frame 1/4 wide out of the paper. I then added the frame to the front of the card with some foam strips.

For the oval frames in the centre of the card I used cream and gold cardstocks using the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Oval Etched dies, pink cardstock for the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Picot Etched Dies and cream cardstock for the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Oval Etched Dies on top.

I made some cherry blossoms using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossoms Etched Dies out of pink cardstock, the leaves from green cardstock and the branch from brown cardstock. I added some Cherry Blossom inks to the centre of the pinks flowers before assembling them. The flowers were draped over the top right of the oval frames.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Celebration Scene Etched Dies and I have die cut three layers – two from pink cardstock and one from gold cardstock. This was then added to the centre of the oval frames on an angle.

To finish the card I have added a pink and gold silk ribbon bow to the top of the card and added some gold pearls to the bow, the centres of the flowers and to highlight the sentiment.

Celebrating You with Purple Chrysanthemums from Honey Bee Stamps

Kia ora Koutou

I enjoy creating beautiful flowers using the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers dies and the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Mum Honey Cuts is just gorgeous and so easy to put together. This card has been created for the August 2024 Honey Bee Stamps/Buzzworthy Challenge on Facebook which is all about sparkle. My card is all about sparkle and shine with glitter paper, sparkly gems and glitter on the flowers and leaves.

To create my card I have created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock. I watched an interesting video by Jennifer McGuire on how to use vellum in different ways so I die cut the Honey Bee Stamps Cover Plate Burlap die using vellum and then coloured it with some pale green ink to create my background for the gorgeous purple ‘Mums’. I love the soft finish of the vellum that contrasts with the strong vibrant purple flowers.

To create a focal point for the flowers and sentiment I have added a frame in purple glitter paper paper which also coordinates with the purple flowers. I die cut an extra plain frame out of white cardstock and glued it behind the purple frame for some extra dimension to the frame.

The flowers and leaves have been coloured with Copic markers and I assembled it using the instructions and used some foam squares for more dimension and depth with the flowers. For the sparkle I have used the Bearly Art glue to add some dots of glue on the flowers and leaves and then dusted some Sparkling Dust to create the shine.

To finish the card I have added a sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Celebrating You Stamp and Die Set that was stamped in dark purple ink on white cardstock before being die cut with the coordinating die. I die cut more plain sentiments and stacked them together with the stamped sentiment on top and then added it over the frame with foam tape to keep the sentiment level over the frame.

To complete the sparkle I have added some Pink Fresh Studio Gems – Glacier around the flowers, frame and sentiment.

Wishing You a Beautiful Day with Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

What I love about Amazing Paper Grace dies is that the dies do all the heavy lifting and it takes no time at all to create beautiful, elegant and timeless cards. Today’s card uses just four Amazing Paper Grace die sets – one for a stunning background, one for highlighting the sentiment and two die sets for the flowers and leaves.

The lovely soft green and silver cardstock I have used makes a beautiful combination and really highlights the gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2019 – Spun Blessing Oval Etched Dies. I then used the Amazing Paper Grace Beautiful Dreamer Stamp and Die Set to create the focal point for the silver heat embossed sentiment on the lovely tag die that comes with the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2019 – Spun Blessing Oval Etched Dies. The flowers were a combination of the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Five Flowers Etched Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies that I had already made in my stash. This card took no time at all to come together.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a top folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I have then created layers using silver and green cardstock on the front of the card. I then die cut the shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2019 – Spun Blessing Oval Etched Dies out of white pearl cardstock. I then die cut the decorative die using all the inlay decorative dies out of green cardstock and adhered it to the shadow die. This was then added to the front of the card using fun foam for more dimension. I finished the card front with a piece of coordinating green ribbon across length ways over the decorative die.

I die cut the decorative label die from the Amazing Paper Grace Beautiful Dreamer Stamp and Die Set out of silver cardstock and adhered it to the centre of the decorative frame die with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages Stamp set in Versamark ink on green cardstock and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment out using the long decorative tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2019 – Spun Blessing Oval Etched Dies and adhered it to the front of the decorative label die.

I had some leaves and flowers already made and used a petal from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched dies with a flower that I had made earlier here from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Five Flowers Etched Dies to make a totally new flower. The leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched dies had been coloured with a soft mint colour ink which matched the colours I had used so well

To finish the card I added a ribbon bow out of green ribbon with a pearl on top to the right side of the sentiment label and then added pearls to the decorative dies as shown.

Sending Big Hugs and Irises With Love

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a card made for a very special person. She loves yellow and purple and was an avid gardener and taught me so much about gardening although I definitely do not have green fingers!! Her gardens were a riot of colour with the most amazing flowers including irises. This card is also my submission for the Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenge for sparkly cards on Facebook.

The Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Iris Honey Cuts were perfect for this card. The irises look so real and are very easy to assemble even without the instructions. I have used purple and yellow inks to colour the irises and then added some yellow pollen to the centre of the flowers and some Ultrafine Crystal Glitter on the outside of the flowers for some sparkle. The leaves have been coloured with green inks before assembling with the flowers.

For the background to the flowers and foliage I have embossed white cardstock using the Honey Bee Stamps 3D Embossing Folder – Sandie’s Garden which is just lovely layered with purple glitter cardstock.

The background foliage are leaves from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Winter Greenery Honey Cuts which have been die cut from a light green cardstock and ink blended with green ink.

No garden is complete without bees and I have used the gorgeous bee from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Bugs Honey Cuts made from black and yellow cardstocks. The wings have been die cut out of vellum, coloured with a pale purple alcohol marker and then finished with some Perfect Pearls – Pearl for a luminescent finish.

The ‘With Love’ sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Etched dies and has been die cut out of purple glitter cardstock and stacked with another two layers of white dies before adding to the top right of the card. I have stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages Stamps in dark purple ink on white cardstock and then die cut with the coordinating die. This was then matted with purple glitter cardstock and then added to the centre of the sentiment die with some foam squares.

Amazing Paper Grace 3D Pop Up Bouquet Card

Kia ora Koutou

I really enjoy playing the Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignettes as they are so versatile and can be used any way. Plus they can be folded up to fit in a standard envelope – a win win in my book. Becca Feeken is an amazing and innovative designer and this Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month January 2020 – 3D Pop Up Bouquet is no exception. I have made a pop up card as well as making a conventional card (keep following me to see what I have made) using this die set. Everything is included in this die set to make a complete card and all I needed to do was choose my colour combination and the sentiment.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a 3D Pop Up Vignette using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month January 2020 – 3D Pop Up Bouquet following the instructions given with the packaging. I have used a mix of gold and glitter gold cardstock with white cardstock to make the flowers. For the base of the card I have die cut another front and back out of gold cardstock and added behind the white dies slightly offsetting them so there is a hint of gold on the base of the card front and back.

The sentiment is from the Beccy’s Place Magnolia Stamp Set which perfectly fitted the tag that goes with this die set.

To finish this gorgeous bouquet I added gold and white pearls to the centres of the flowers depending on the combination of colours of the flowers and I added a small white ribbon bow to the tag on the front and added a small gold flower and a gold pearl in the centre. White pearls were also added to the front of the ‘vase’ to complete the pop up card.

Wishing You the Best Pink Fresh Studio

Kia ora Koutou

I had so much fun using the Pink Fresh Studio Diagonal Plaid Press Plate making different backgrounds that coordinate with the flowers that I have made. My card today uses the Summer Shower and Eucalyptus inks that I used to colour the leaves in the Pink Fresh Studio Delighted For You Stamp for the diagonal plaid and it makes the whole card look cohesive and balanced. I also ink blended the lighter yellow and blue tones of these colours for the background inside the frame which helps to make the flowers pop more from the background. I also added an extra layer behind the flowers to give the flowers more stability and dimension and did the same for the sentiment. To finish my card I added some Pink Fresh Studio Glacier gems for some sparkle around the sentiment.

Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Baby Boy

Kia ora Koutou

I have a sweet baby boy card to share with you today featuring the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month October 2019 One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies as the base for the oversized ‘Sweet’ word from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies and the gorgeous stork from the Amazing Paper Grace Amazing Paper Grace Layered Bundle of Joy Dies. The florals and small leaves are in the One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies and all I needed to add was some more foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a side folding 5″ x 7″ card out of white cardstock. I added the lovely blue floral paper from Mintay to the front of the card. I die cut the frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month October 2019 One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies out of white cardstock and added it to the front with foam tape. I used the same die to cut out the bottom half of the die out of blue wood effect paper and then added the paper to the inside of the frame as shown.

I die cut the inner decorative banner out of the blue wood effect paper and added it to the panel that goes across the front of the card. I then die cut a piece of white cardstock using the inner plain die and sponged the edges with blue ink before adding over the decorative blue frame. I die cut the letters to spell ‘Baby Boy” out of dark blue cardstock and added it to the panel as shown.

For the sentiment I die cut the large ‘Sweet’ sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies out of white cardstock and ink blended an ombre effect using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I then die cut another sentiment out of dark blue cardstock, added it behind the ombre sentiment and adhered it to the top half of the card.

I die cut the stork from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Bundle of Joy out of white cardstock and coloured it with grey and orange inks. I die cut the bundle out of white cardstock and ink blended it with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and added it to the stork. To finish the stork I used a black pen to add the eye. This stork was then added to the card on the right using foam squares.

I die cut some foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies out of light green cardstock, trimmed the foliage and then added it to the bottom right and top left of the sentiment panel as well as on the bundle on the stork. I die cut the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month October 2019 One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies out of soft flower shaping paper and coloured them with lavender and yellow inks. These were spritzed and shaped and once dry were added over the foliage around the central panel and on the bundle. I coloured the leaves with green ink and added them around the flowers.

To finish the card I added small pearls to the centres of the flowers and to the decorative panel as shown.

Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Christmas Card

Kia ora Koutou

My Christmas card today is full of layers, textures and dimension created using several different dies from Amazing Paper Grace. The hero of the card is the gorgeous and very versatile Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignette Animal House Dies. This die set can be used as a cat or dog house but can equally be used as a birdhouse because of the circle die that goes with this set. I have paired this bird house with the sweet birds from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and Christmas foliage and flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif Dies. The texture on this card comes from the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish Embossing Folder, the background die – A2 Amazing Paper Grace Corner Cotillion Dies and the embossed woodgrain finish on the base of the bird house.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To create my card I have created a top folding 5″ x 6″ base card out of white cardstock. I added a layer of gold cardstock and then added embossed a piece of 4 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ blue cardstock with the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish Embossing Folder before adding it to the front of the card. I die cut two decorative dies from the Amazing Paper Grace A2 Corner Cotillion dies out of white cardstock and added it over the blue embossed layer.

To make the birdhouse I die cut the base die out of brown cardstock and embossed it with an old woodgrain embossing folder from my stash. I then sponged some brown ink on the edges to create more depth to the embossing. I then die cut an inner base out of blue cardstock using the plain die and then adhered it to the base house die. I then die cut two decorative fronts – one from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. I then die cut the circle out of both dies before adhering them together with the gold die behind the white die slightly offset. This decorative front was then added to the base of the birdhouse using foam strips. I die cut the roof out of brown cardstock and sponged the edges with brown ink before adding the two white edges to create the ‘fringe’. The roof was then added to the top of the birdhouse with foam strips and then the entire bird house was adhered to the card front.

I die cut the birds from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies out of white, gold and blue cardstocks and then assembled them. I added some holly and ivy to the birds using the dies from this set then I die cut four flourishes from the same die set out of gold cardstock. I stacked two dies together to create two flourishes. I added a flourish to the top right of the bird house and the other to the bottom left of the birdhouse. The birds were then added over the flourishes using several layers of foam tape as required to secure the birds as shown.

I die cut and assembled the foliage dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif Dies using brown, red and green cardstocks. These were then added under and over the flourishes and the birds. I die cut the poinsettia flowers out of white cardstock and coloured them with blue ink before assembling them with two layers of petals each. I added a gold centre to each flower and then adhered them to the base of the birds.

I made the sentiment out of white and cardstock using the sentiment strips from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and adhered it to the birdhouse with foam strips.

To finish the card I added Simply White Nuvo Drops to the flourishes on the background dies and on the birdhouse front.

Pink Fresh Studio July 2024 Challenge

Kia ora Koutou

I am enjoying playing with the Pink Fresh Studio Challenge July 2024 this month. This month the challenge is using Geometric designs on your projects and the coordinating inks are: Cherry Blossom, Mimosa, Marigold, Summer Shower & Eucalyptus.

I have gone totally outside my comfort zone with my first (hopefully) card for this challenge and gone with a black and white theme using the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass Die as my geometric element. I have die cut two dies – one from silver glitter paper and one from white cardstock and mixed up this die by putting the white die on top of the silver die upside down to create even more patterns with the die. I have also used the Pink Fresh Studio Essentials Stitched Scallop Square Dies as a diamond in the centre of the card to tie in the diamond geometric theme and also provide a focal point for the sentiment which has been heat embossed with white on black cardstock.

I have coloured the floral images from the Pink Fresh Studio Delighted For You Stamp set using a no line colouring technique and after die cutting the images I have gone around the edges with black Copic marker to help the images blend into the black background. I am not a fan of using grey colours to colour flowers white and for the flowers I used the colours that Dawn from Wplus9 Design demonstrated here and I was very pleased with my first effort. I also used Dawn’s method of adding glitter to the images but next time I will use a much finer glitter but it still looks stunning in real life.

Some silver pearls finish the card and focus on the sentiment.
