Design Inspiration
For this card, I wanted to create something peaceful and elegant. The white-on-white colour palette provides a sense of calm and serenity, while the dimensional handmade flowers add warmth and softness. A decorative die-cut background creates beautiful texture and interest without overwhelming the design.
Behind the floral arrangement, I added subtle ink blending to create a gentle glow that draws the eye toward the focal point. Soft shading adds depth while maintaining the clean and tranquil feel of the card.
The sentiment, “My Thoughts Are With You Today”, serves as a simple but meaningful expression of sympathy and support.
Design Details
- White on white colour background creates a sense of serenity
- A soft green ink blended background allows the handcrafted flowers to be grounded and draws the eye to the sentiment
- A decorative lacy background die provides subtle texture, interest and dimension
- A simple and plain frame with decorative corners creates the frame for the sentiment and for the handcrafted flowers. Use foam tape for extra dimension
- A meaningful sentiment on the deocrative label in the centre of the frame becomes the focus of the heartfelt sympathy
- Handcrafted flowers add the extra special touch to show you care
- Pearl accents highlight the decorative dies and soft pink iridescent gems connect the pink flowers with the sentiment
Finishing Touches
No elegant sympathy card feels complete without a few special embellishments. Pearl accents were added throughout the design to enhance the soft, classic feel, while a scattering of sparkle gems catches the light and adds a touch of gentle shimmer.
The combination of texture, dimension, and subtle sparkle creates a card that feels thoughtful and comforting while remaining refined and understated.
