Elegant Purple and White Easter Card

Kia ora Koutou

Easter is a wonderful time to create cards that reflect both the beauty of spring and the deeper meaning of the season. For today’s project, I’ve created an elegant Easter card featuring a gorgeous image with delicate flowers, dove and a cross with intricate die cuts to create a purple and white background. Soft sparkle and pearls add a gentle touch of shimmer that makes the design feel extra special.

The combination of rich purples, detailed layers, and classic embellishments gives this card a peaceful and uplifting feel—perfect for sending Easter blessings to someone special.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Design Inspiration

Purple is a colour often associated with reflection and faith, which makes it a beautiful choice for an Easter card. I paired a beautiful and pattern paper featuring a cross, flowers and a dove with layered decorative dies to create depth and texture. A hint of sparkle catches the light, while pearls add a timeless finishing touch.

Design Details

  • Colour Palette: purples and white for a soft fresh look
  • Background: Decorative white frame to contrast with the purple base
  • Easter Theme: Use a meaningful Easter image as the focus for your Easter themed card
  • Sentiment: Die cut in purple to coordinate with the soft purple tones of the image and with the purple and white background
  • Finishing Touches: Keep embellishments minimal — pearls to highlight the decorative frame background and soft sparkle on the beautiful florals and highlight the halo around the cross.

Step-by-Step

1. Create the card base
Start with a white card base and add a panel of purple card stock to give the design contrast.

2. Add decorative die layers
Cut several decorative dies in white cardstock and layer them to create an elegant frame for the focal design. Use foam strips to add more depth and dimension to the background.

3. Prepare the centre panel
Die cut the decorative square panel from white card stock. Then die cut the image out using the inner square die before layering with some soft purple cardstock, then add to the decorative panel. Adhere this to the centre of the decorative base using foam squares to make the Easter theme prominent.

4. Add the sentiment
Die cut the Happy Easter sentiment out of purple and white card stocks and then stack together with the purple on top. Adhere to the panel as shown.

5. Add sparkle
Lightly touch the flowers and the halo around the cross with a glue that dries clear and then sprinkle with some fine iridescent glitter for a subtle sparkle.

6. Finishing touches
Complete the card with pearls placed on the decorative background die.

Finishing Touches

Small details make a big difference. A few well-placed pearls, a hint of sparkle, and soft dimensional layering help bring the whole design together while keeping the card refined and elegant.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card combines faith, elegance, and the beauty of spring. The purple florals and delicate sparkle frame the cross perfectly, creating a peaceful Easter design that feels both meaningful and uplifting.

Layers of Love: A White and Gold Card with Pink Florals, Lace & Pearls

Kia ora Koutou

Soft, romantic and timeless, today’s With Love card is all about elegant details. A crisp white base sets the scene for touches of warm gold, delicate lace dies, and soft pink florals. Finished with a dainty bow and pearls, this design feels perfect for anniversaries, weddings, or simply sending love “just because”.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Design Inspiration

Design Highlights

  • Theme: Love
  • Colours: White, gold, pink and green
  • Style: Elegant, romantic, timeless
  • Techniques: Die cutting, layering, flower making, dry embossing
  • Embellishments: Pearls, gold accents, bow, flowers and foliage

How I Made the Card

Step-by-Step

  1. Card Base: Start with a white card base and add layers of white and gold card for a clean, classic look. Use foam tape under the top layer for more depth and interest.
  2. Lace Detail: Die cut the lace frame out three times out of white cardstock and stack together. Die cut the two lace trims and add under another lace frame and add to the base frame before adhering to the front of the card to add some depth and create the scene for the sentiment. To further add to the lace asthetics dry emboss white vellum using a pretty lacy embossing folder and add to the centre of the frame.
  3. Embellishments: Add a handcrafted bow to the corner of the frame using a foam square.
  4. Florals: Arrange soft pink flowers over the bow and green foliage to cascade into the centre of the frame..
  5. Sentiment: Add a With Love sentiment in gold to tie in with the metallic details.
  6. Finishing Touches: Finish pearls pearls in the centre of the florals and on the lacy frame for subtle elegance.

Design Tip

Lacy dies add a lot of detail to a card and by adding pearls to the dies help to accentuate the gorgeous details of the lacy frame. Add more pearls to the centre of the flowers to tie the whole card together.

Final Thoughts

This card really shows how a soft colour palette and layered textures can create a beautiful, romantic design without feeling overdone. White, gold and soft pink is a combination I’ll never tire of 🤍✨

Decorative Birthday Mini Album – A Keepsake Full of Memories

Kia ora Koutou

There’s something extra special about giving a handmade gift, especially when it’s designed to hold treasured memories. This decorative birthday mini album is a beautiful way to celebrate a loved one, combining photos, personal details, and thoughtful embellishments into a keepsake that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Perfect for milestone birthdays or intimate celebrations, a mini album like this tells a story—one page at a time.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Why a Mini Album Makes the Perfect Birthday Gift

Unlike a single card or wrapped present, a mini album becomes part of the celebration itself. It allows you to:

  • Share favourite photos and memories
  • Add handwritten notes, dates, or little stories
  • Create something truly personal and one-of-a-kind

Small enough to hold in your hands but packed with meaning, mini albums are a heartfelt alternative to store-bought gifts.

Design Details

For this birthday mini album, I focused on a decorative yet timeless look so it would feel special now and still be lovely to revisit in the future.

Key features include:

  • Coordinated soft and muted colour tones
  • Decorative covers with layered elements and texture
  • Space for photos and personal messages
  • Special birthday wishes and decorative panels

Each page was designed to highlight the photos while still leaving room for embellishments that add charm without overwhelming the album.

Creating the Album

This project came together step by step, starting with the album base and building up layers as I went.

The process included:

  1. Die cut the spine and create the folds for the panels
  2. Die cutting all the decorative panels in coordinating cardstock and adding them to the spine.
  3. Add two decorative panels to celebrate the special birthday and add a feminine touch with a basket of flowers
  4. Add a pretty band to hold extra photos and a label for sentiments
  5. Adding special and meaningful photos for the recipient to cherish
  6. Embellish the front with some decorative dies and add a couple of sweet butterflies
  7. Decorating each spread with embellishments and accents
  8. Finishing with small details that tie the whole album together

Working in a smaller format makes this type of project manageable while still giving plenty of creative freedom.

A Keepsake to Treasure

What I love most about projects like this is how meaningful they become once photos and memories are added. This mini album isn’t just a birthday gift—it’s a keepsake that captures moments, milestones, and emotions in a tangible way.

Whether displayed on a shelf or pulled out to flip through on special occasions, it’s a reminder that the best gifts are often the ones made with time, care, and love.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope this birthday mini album inspires you to create your own memory-filled keepsakes—perfect for birthdays, celebrations, and everything in between 💕

Clean & Simple Christmas Card in Pink, White and Gold with Sweet Birds

Kia ora Koutou

Clean and simple Christmas cards are a beautiful way to let elegant details take centre stage. Today’s design combines soft pinks, fresh white space, and delicate gold accents, with gentle bird imagery for a peaceful and festive finish.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Step-by-Step:

  • Start by creating a crisp white card base and trim a slightly smaller pink panel to mount on the front followed by another slightly smaller pearl card with a hint of gold panel that has been debossed with a festive embossing folder. This clean foundation keeps the overall design light and airy.
    • Keep the edges simple and the coverage minimal to maintain a clean and simple look.
    • Introduce subtle gold accents to bring in a touch of festive elegance. Here I have added a gold frame with a white vellum shadow to the upper part of the card so it doesn’t overwhelm the design.
    • Die cut the birds using gold and white cardstock and place within the frame. Then add some festive green holly and red berries to add a little pop of colour and interest.
    • Add some more gold accents with a bow to tie the birds and frame together and a gold die cut sentiment to balance the card
    • Add some finishing touches with some pink iridescent gems

    Design Tips

    • Add a little pop of colour to add more festive flavour to the card
    • Keep embellishments minimal for an elegant finish
    • This design works beautifully for mass-produced Christmas cards
    • Use the back side of an embossed panel to create extra interest for the background
    • Stack die cuts using more than one layer to help make the embellishments stand out more from the background
    • Add some subtle sparkle by using iridescent gems around the sentiment
    • Mix and match cardstock finishes – here I have used a pearl card for the base and also added some white vellum to allow the frame to stand out.

    Final Thoughts

This clean and simple Christmas card shows how a soft pink, white, and gold colour palette can feel both modern and festive. By keeping the layout uncluttered and the details minimal, the sweet bird imagery and subtle gold accents become the true focal points. It’s a gentle reminder that you don’t need a lot of layers or embellishments to create an elegant holiday card—sometimes less really is more.

Elegant Noel Christmas Card in Pink, White and Gold Tutorial

    Kia ora Koutou

Elegant Christmas cards don’t need to be complicated or very big. By combining a simple decorative dies and frames with a cohesive colour palette, this Noel card feels polished, festive, and timeless. The touch of gold adds a hint of luxury, while the pink and white keep everything light and modern. Add some sweet birds and soft pink and green flowers and foliage for the perfect finishing touches.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Quick and Simple Noel Christmas Card Design

This card focuses on simplicity, making it ideal for busy crafting sessions:

    • Minimal layers for a clean and uncluttered look
    • A bold Noel sentiment as the focal point
    • Gold accents to add elegance without overwhelming the design
    • Soft pink cardstock to give a modern, non-traditional Christmas feel

Step-by-Step: How to Make This Noel Christmas Card

To create this elegant Noel Christmas card, follow the steps below. This design is intentionally quick and simple, making it ideal for batch making or when time is limited.

    1. Create the card base
Cut white cardstock to form your card base. A clean white base helps keep the design fresh and allows the soft pink and gold elements to shine.
    2. Add the gold, pink and white layers
Cut a panel from gold cardstock and adhere to the card front. Then trim a panel of soft pink cardstock slightly smaller than the card front and adhere it directly to the base. To complete the card base cut another panel 1/8″ smaller out of white cardstock and add to the previous layers. Keeping these layers flat maintains a clean and modern look.
    3. Prepare the gold outer frame
Cut a hemstitch frame out of gold cardstock and adhere to the card base with foam tape. This frame will house the sentiment and provides contrast against the pink background.
    4. Add more texure and frame to the i
    5. Cut a decorative panel out of pearl cardstock and then add a white shadow for inside the gold frame. Die cut a scallop frame from pearl cardstock and add around the decorative panel with foam tape.
    6. Add the Noel sentiment
Die cut the Noel sentiment in gold and white, stack together and then add to the centre of the frame over the decorative panel onto the white panel. Inlay some pink cardstock to the bauble and use Glossy Accents to add some ultrafine glitter for some sparkle.
    7. Finish with birds, poinsettias and holly
Complete the card with pearl poinsettias, green holiday and white and gold birds and some pink iridescent gems.. These final touches add festive shine without overpowering the design.
