Hello again and welcome to my new followers. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and get inspiration from my projects.
After a very busy week with two blog hops I have settled down with some cards for Mother’s Day next Sunday. I enjoy using different colours and combinations and CTMH make it so easy with the wide range of colours and patterns they have for us to use.
Here are just a few that I have made:
For this card I have used tone on tone with Lagoon with a hint of soft green in the background matting. I am happy with the different patterns here – what do you think? I have also finally found a way to use the Lagoon zipper lace and I am looking forward to using it more. I have also used Lagoon washi tape on White Daisy cardstock to add even more pattern to the card. The photo does not do the colours or texture justice.
I love the simplicity of this card. This paper and vellum is from the Free to Be Me paper pack that is only available this month and there is gorgeous papers and this wonderful gold polka dotted vellum. I have teamed it with some patterned paper from the same paper pack and stamped the images with Lagoon ink and completed the card with the Aqua dots.
I must confess I have used this pattern before but I wanted a simple yet elegant card. This beautiful red paper is from the Free to Be Me paper pack again I have used the sentiment from the Mother’s Day stamp set with the lovely silhouette from the Sweet Moments stamp set. I have fussy cut the image out and used foam tape to adhere it to the card.
Here is another Skylark card (I love the name of the papers!) The edging is actually a negative image from a die cut that I had cut for a mini album. I never throw anything away and this has come up lovely and I have added some Lagoon cardstock to create a ribbon effect and added a slate twist tie. I really like using the frames and sentiments as they make such a lovely addition to a cut and a nice change from the very square tags I used to do all the time.
Here is another card from the Free to Be Me paper pack. I have cut the shapes out using the Art Philosophy cartridge in White Daisy and the red patterned cardstock that came with the pack. The flower is from the Art Philosophy Cricut stamp collection and cut in half with an Aqua dot in the middle.
