Especially for You on Your Special Day

Kia ora Koutou Crafty Friends

There’s something so special about creating a handmade card for a meaningful occasion, and this elegant design was created with a soft and feminine combination of white, gold and pink.

The focal point of the card is the sentiment, “Especially for you on your Special Day,” which has been stamped and beautifully framed to make it the centre of attention. Decorative accents above and below the frame draw the eye towards the sentiment while adding an elegant touch to the overall design.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creation.

Design Inspiration

For this card, I wanted to create something classic and timeless, with lots of delicate details without overwhelming the design. White provides a beautiful clean background, while touches of gold add warmth and a little luxury. Soft pink brings in a pretty feminine accent and complements the gold beautifully.

I chose to keep the sentiment as the main feature, building the design around the framed greeting so that it immediately catches the eye.

Design Details

The background features an elegant embossed design, adding beautiful texture and dimension to the card while keeping the overall colour palette soft and understated.

At the centre is a decorative frame containing the stamped sentiment. The words Especially for you on your Special Day are highlighted with decorative elements positioned at both the top and bottom of the frame. These accents help to frame the greeting and create a balanced focal point.

Layers of white, pink and gold cardstock add depth to the design, with the gold details providing just the right amount of sparkle and elegance.

Finishing Touches

To complete the card, I added a beautiful silk ribbon bow, which softens the design and adds another luxurious detail. I have also added a small charm in the same blush tone with gold accents and a small gold bow with pearls that worked in beautifully with the overall design. Small pearl accents were added throughout, providing a subtle touch of elegance and tying together the soft pink, white and gold colour combination.

I love how the pearls catch the light without taking attention away from the sentiment. They are the perfect finishing touch for this pretty and feminine design.
