A Merry Santa Christmas

Kia Ora Koutou

Christmas has snuck up on me very fast this year and I have been busy making last minute Christmas cards using Spellbinders and Amazing Paper Grace products. I like to give my doctor and his practice some nice chocolates and a handcrafted card. It has been a very hard year for the doctors and I have always received excellent support and help and I wanted to show my appreciation for all that they have done. They were so happy with my gift.

I have been inspired by Bibiana Cameron who has created beautiful Christmas cards using Glimmer Hot Foil background plates and Amazing Paper Grace Seasonal Motifs. For my project today I have created a shaped card using the Amazing Paper Grace Rectangle Postage Edge dies and added a gorgeous background using the lovely Spellbinders Glimmering Swag hot foil plate. I created a label using the Amazing Paper Grace Winter Label Motif dies and then added a very cute Spellbinders Santa. I have finished the card using the sentiment dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Happy Occasions Dies and some glitter to Santa’s hat with some Bearly Art Glue.

I then created a separate label and added it to my wrapped gift.

I have another Christmas card for you today featuring the Amazing Paper Grace All Hearts Come Home A2 Cardfront Etched Dies from the Christmas Flourish Collection by Becca Feeken from the Amazing Paper Grace The Christmas Flourishes Collection by Becca Feeken. I love the sentiment in this set because that is what Christmas is all about – spending time with friends and family!

Today’s projects created were used with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Project for Today

This Christmas card features the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace All Hearts Come Home A2 Cardfront Etched Dies from the Christmas Flourish Collection by Becca Feeken which did not need any embellishments as there is all you need in the one die set. I have paper pierced colours for the trees, presents and house and placed the die on a very pretty Christmassy, snowy paper. To finish I have added some glitter snow on the house and added glitter to the background.

Merry Christmas Scenes

Slimline cards are so on trend at the moment and here I have made a card that is flat and easy to post and very quick to create.

You can see which products I have used here.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 8 1/2″ x 7”, score at 3 1/2″ along the 7” side and fold to create a base card of 3 1/2” x 8 1/2″.  Cut a piece of silver cardstock 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2” and adhere to the front of the card.  Cut a piece of pattern paper 3 5/16” x 8 5/16” and adhere to the front of the silver card.

Cut four pieces of silver cardstock 2” x 2” and adhere down the right side of the card as shown.  Cut four pieces of pattern paper 1 7/8” x 1 7/8” – two blue and two green and adhere to the front of the silver squares.  Cut four pieces of silver cardstock 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ and adhere to the front of the squares on the right.  Cut the four small postage stamp size images from the paper collection and adhere to the top of the squares as shown.

Cut a piece of silver cardstock 3/4” x 8 1/2″ and adhere to the left of the card as shown.  Cut a piece of pattern paper 11/16” x 8 7/16” and adhere to the silver strip.

Die cut the letters out of silver cardstock using the small letter die from the HCD2-7371 Letters & Numbers Die. Adhere the letters for Merry Christmas down the left side as shown. Add a silver pearl between the two words.

To finish, add dots of Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the images with Dries Clear glue.
