Amazing Paper Grace | Stained Glass Bouquet – Deco Bloom Grateful Thanks

It’s a miracle that little painted shards of glass can come together to create such beauty!!  The intriguing lure of Stained Glass has inspired artisans from around the world to try their hand at shuffling colors and shuffling shards of glass to create something lovely to gaze upon.  Today we are introducing the newest Amazing Paper Grace collection called Stained Glass Floral Bouquet, created for Spellbinders.

Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Inspiration

Becca says that the inspiration for the collection came from her love of stained glass and never being able to muster the time to do it with real glass.  Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?  Now it’s easy to create with paper!  It’s amazing how you can give the same outline to a hand full of different artists and each will come up with a totally different look.

Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Collection

The Stained Glass Bouquet Collection is made up of 7 different die sets.  They are sized for layering and include small designs all the way up to A7 designs with different frames that can make both A2 and A7 designs.  The collection boasts shadow dies for each set so that whenever you don’t want a multicolor design, you can layer your “die-cut leading” onto one color.  The hallmark of the collection is a sweet stained glass flower and shadow in almost every set.  That gives you a background die and a central motif for each set.

Attention “technique junkies” this collection is sweetly serenading you to try your favorite technique with the leading and the shards.

     Here are ours:

  1. Fill each opening with a different color paper and add Glossy Accent.
  2. Ink on a hombre background before resetting your shards.
  3. A smidge of color in each opening with a Copic Marker.
  4. A different color leading – white, black, gold, silver.
  5. Build up tall leading with 4 layers and adhesive in between each.

My Project for Today:

Today I am sharing a thank you card featuring the stunning Amazing Paper Grace Deco Bloom Etched Dies from Stained Glass Bouquet Collection by Becca Feeken. For this card I have used an elegant gold and ivory colour combination and trimmed the inner decorative die to create a centre piece to add handcrafted flowers and an elegant sentiment on. I love adding some texture and I have used the Spellbinders embossing folder – Simply Perfect Florets.

I have added flowers made using the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Etched Dies by Becca Feeken, the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity Amazing Paper Grace DOM Etched Dies by Becca Feeken, and the Amazing Paper Grace and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go V Etched Dies by Becca Feeken.

The leaves are made using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers Etched Dies 3D Vignette Mini Album Collection by Becca Feeken and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go IV Etched Dies by Becca Feeken.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Heart Felt Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set Sweet Cardlets by Becca Feeken.

To learn how to make these pink camellias I have a tutorial on the Amazing Paper Grace – Encouragement Group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/APGCreativeEncouragement.

Designers Tip:

Die cut the background first and then do a separate outline die and adhere to the background. Then die cut the colours and lay the die with the die cuts over the background and poke the little shards into the background. I found that quickest and easiest for me.

These dies and plates are available from Spellbinders right now! Click here: Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Collection.

My Projects for Today

Today I am sharing a shaker card made with the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Rondure Etched Dies from Stained Glass Bouquet Collection by Becca Feeken.

I have been inspired by the film Beauty and the Beast for this card. The rose in the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Rondure Etched Dies from Stained Glass Bouquet Collection by Becca Feeken reminds me of the enchanted rose in the first film. I have used the gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace Grand Arch 3D Card Etched Dies Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken to create a frame for a shaker card. The arch looks like the glass dome that protected the rose as the leaves were falling. The Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Sentiments Clear Stamp Set from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken had the perfect sentiment for the card and I have teamed it with the decorative die from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Adornments Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken.

Designers Tip:

I added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to add more shine to the rose and leaves to further enhance the look of being under glass.
