Amazing Paper Grace Floral Garden Birthday

I am getting low on birthday cards and I was inspired to create this birthday day from a card I saw on Instagram. I loved that it was all white with a pop of colour in a circle with sweet birds on an ink blended background. My family are big cat lovers and today I have mixed and matched different flower and leaf dies with the sweet little cat from the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene collection by Becca Feeken to create a lovely garden scene of flowers with a cute little cat amongst them. This card is quite easy to make and you could use so many different motifs to personalise the card to your tastes. I am fairly new to ink blending and I had so much fun with it and was really pleased with the result.

I will have a video tutorial on my YouTube channel shortly and will link it here when done.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card today I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top hinged base card from white cardstock. I have added a frame using the Amazing Paper Grace Rectangle Fluted Classics Dies with foam tape. I then die cut a circle using the circle die from the Amazing Paper Grace Circle Fluted Classics Dies out of masking paper and then added this to some spare white cardstock. I ink blended the circle using light blue, yellow and green inks and then die cut the panel out using the inner die from the frame and inserted inside the frame. I die cut three circle frames using the small circle dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Circle Fluted Classics Dies from white cardstock. I added one frame to the ink blended circle then stacked two circle frames together before adding them to the frame on the card with foam squares.

I then die cut all the flowers from coloured cardstock as well as the leaves and flower stalks and the cat using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Rolling Along Scene Dies and the Picture Perfect Windows Scene Dies I added the stalks and leaves to the inside of the circle with the leaves flowing over the edge. I added the flowers and popped the little cat among the flowers with a foam square.

I die cut three sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Celebrations Scene Dies, stacked them together and adhered them under the circle.

To finish I have made a vellum butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motifs Dies and added it to the frame of the circle as shown.

Amazing Paper Grace | Wedded Bliss

Hi crafty friends!  It seems like we have been waiting for months for February to roll around.  We have been working in the background, holding our breath, tapping our feet and waiting on tippie toes to show you a new collection!  Ta-dah!!!  Today we are introducing a new Amazing Paper Grace Collection called Make A Scene!!!  It was designed by Becca Feeken and is available at Spellbinders.  Stay tuned for a video link at the bottom of the post. NOW, TO EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU . . . In the past, Becca has created several interactive collections . . remember 3D Vignettes and remember Shadowbox Vignettes?  One of the things Becca does, is she tries to create a new twist on interactive that you can also use with flat cards and with past collections. That means new material for your old material.

WHAT IS MAKE A SCENE? Make A Scene is an interactive card collection and a flat card collection, all in one – you choose based on your style.  The interactive portion is made with a card base that folds in six different layered scenery options.  The 3D card base folds flat but slides open to reveal a dimensional scene.  Since it has a 3D profile, the opened card makes quite a splash and can be set out on a desk for showing off.  The card base is huge and it offers you the chance to snag one of six scenes that cover many occasions.  If the six scenes are not your occasion du jour, then by all means dive into your huge stash of dies and insert your own contents.  The flat card portion is made with the individual scenes.  Each of the components for the scenes can be cut onto the top of a panel and used on a flat card or as part of a 3D Vignette or as part of a shadowbox scene.

My Projects for Today

I’m using the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Card Base Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken with the and Amazing Paper Grace Wedded Bliss Scene Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken for this interactive card. I also wanted to show that you can use your old Amazing Paper Grace dies with this collection – here I have using the beautiful Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace Etched Dies by Becca Feeken.

I have used the beautiful little fence die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cozy Home Scene Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken and the sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Sentiments Clear Stamp Set from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken.

The flowers are made using the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Flowers Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken and I have a photo tutorial on how I have made these flowers on the Amazing Paper Grace – Encouragement Group on Facebook here.

Designers Tip:

I found you cannot have a lot of bulk out wide in the front two layers as the layers will not slide through the side slots easily.

How to Assemble:

When you see the card base it will make total sense how this goes together.  Here is a quick start video to lay it all out for you.
