Amazing Paper Grace Shabby Chic Congratulations

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a pretty shabby chic card to share with you that has been inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I used the same dies that was used for the card – Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Frame Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace All Occasions Sentiments Dies, but I added my own touch with the handcrafted flowers and pretty images from Mintay. The flowers ended up different to what I wanted to make but I am still happy with them. To me they look like helichrysum flowers that were very poplular in the 1980s and 1990s for dried flower arrangements. What do you think?

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card today I have created a top folding 4 3/4″ x 6″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of white cardstock 4 5/8″ x 5 7/8″ and adhered it to the front of the card. I then cut a piece of pink check paper 4 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ and placed this over the top. I cut a piece of white card 3 3/4″ x 4 7/8″. I die cut the frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Frame Dies out o gold cardstock and added the small white card to the back of the frame and added it to the front of the card. I then cut a piece of pink paper 2 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ and placed it in the centre of the frame. I die cut the inner panel from the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Frame Dies out of white cardstock and placed this over the pink panel inside the frame. I finished the front by adding a motif from the Mintay Elodie Die Cuts.

I die cut the decorative frame from the Amazing Paper Grace All Occasions Sentiments Dies out of gold cardstock and added it to the centre of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the same set in embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment out using the coordinating rectangle die and added it to the centre of the frame.

I added some motifs from the Mintay Elodie Die Cuts to the front of the card.

I handcrafted pink flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and yellow and blue flowers from the Go V flowers and the Petite Floral Potpourri Dies. Once they were dry and assembled I added them at the bottom of the card and at the base of the woman and the birds. The leaves from the Cinch and Go V flowers were die cut using blue/green paper from the Mintay Elodie Paper Pack to coordinate with the paper.

To finish my card I added some clear iridescent rhinestones to around the sentiment and the flowers.

Amazing Paper Grace Perfect Wedding Gift Box for Coordinating Card

Kia ora Koutou

Today I am back with the coordinating box to the wedding card I made last week using Amazing Paper Grace Clipped Nested Squares by Amazing Paper Grace embellished with handcrafted flowers. Here is my previous post with all the details. I have kept to the basic dies and colour combination, but changed the design of the dies so as I could create an aperture to see the sentiment on the card inside the box. I am so happy at how my box and card combination has turned out and it will make a lovely gift for the bride and groom.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make the box base I cut a piece of white cardstock 7 3/4″ x 7 3/4″ and scored down each side at 1″. I cut into one side of each corner and trimmed the tag before assembling the base of the box.

To make the box top I cut a piece of white cardstock 6 7/8″ x 6 7/8″ and scored down each side at 1/2″. I then used a centering ruler to work out the centre of the box top and used the lines to line up the clipped square die from the Amazing Paper Grace Clipped Nested Square dies to created the aperture. I then cut a piece of gold cardstock 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and repeated this process to create the aperture. Finally I cut a piece of white cardstock 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and cut the aperture using the same procedure. I cut a piece of acetate 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered it the front of the box top before layering the gold and white cardstock on top.

For the sentiment I hot foiled the ‘Congratulations’ sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Occasions Sentiments hot foil plates on white cardstock. I die cut this with the coordinating die as well as another plain die. These were stacked together and added to the base of the box top just below the window.

I die cut two frames using the Amazing Paper Grace Clipped Nested Squares using the two largest dies and two smaller dies and added them to the front of the card framing the aperture. I then added some gold corners using the corner dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadow Box Frame Dies. Once the front was decorated I finished assembling the box top in the same way as the box base.I

I made the roses from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud dies which were coloured with Lemon Whip and Ballet Slippers for a soft romantic look. I then added some Cosmic Shimmer Luna Paste – Moonlight Gold to the edges to give the roses an antique shabby chic feel. The large leaves were from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go IV dies and were die cut from green cardstock. The leaves were also given some shine and glitter using the Luna Paste and were added around the roses. The small yellow and pink flowers were made using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Dies. I coloured the yellow flowers with Lemon Whip ink and the pink flowers with Raspberry Bliss ink. The lighter green leaves were also from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Dies set. These were added around the flowers and the aperture to create a pretty floral bouquet.

To finish my card I have made a butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters dies out of vellum and gold cardstock. The vellum was coloured with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and worked in perfectly with the antique-look roses.

I do have a video tutorial coming but I have been having some computer issues. I will add this once I have finished the editing and uploaded it to YouTube.

Amazing Paper Grace Merry Christmas

Kia ora Koutou

Yikes!!! Christmas is just around the corner!! I really don’t know where the time has gone but I am feeling very organised for my Christmas cards this year. My theme has been white, gold, pink and green and I have another Christmas card to share with you today to inspire you. I have used the beautiful Amazing Paper Grace February 2022 Die of the Month – Marvelous Medallion. I love how easy it is to get the gold shadows with this set. I have paired this die with the Amazing Paper Grace November 2020 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Sleigh poinsettias and the gorgeous birds from the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Frame Gala dies. The sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Silent Night Make a Scene dies. I made a lot of flowers and birds at once so once I did my die cutting this card came together very quickly.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project:

I made a top folding 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock. I layered one gold card and two white layers to the front of the card. The top layer has been embossed with the Amazing Paper Grace Flourished Holly embossing folder.

I die cut the two medallions out of gold and white cardstock and layered the white top layer over the gold layer. These were added to the front of the card . I then die cut two banners out of white cardstock and stacked them together and adhered it across the centre of the medallions. I die cut two Merry Christmas sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Silent Night Make a Scene dies and stacked them together before adding them to the banner.

The poinsettias have beenI have handcrafted the green and pink poinsettias out of flower shaping paper using the poinsettia dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – November 2020- 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh.and adhered them to the top right of the banner and bottom left of the banner over green leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – November 2020- 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh.

I made a pair of birds from the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Frame Gala dies out of gold and white cardstock and added a touch of pink to the bodies of the birds and then added them above the poinsettias.

To finish the card I have added some gold pearls around the flowers and sentiment.

Amazing Paper Grace Perfect Marriage

Kia ora Koutou

I have a wedding to go to coming up in about three weeks and I thought I would get in early and make a card for the bride and groom. (I am normally leaving everything to the last minute lol). I decided to go with a white and gold theme using the Amazing Paper Grace Clipped Nested Squares as a base for more handcrafted flowers. The sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Beautiful Inside and Out Sentiments Stamp set is just perfect for a wedding card (pun intended) and I have used Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud and Petite Floral Potpourri dies to created my flowers. I will make a box to coordinate with this card to make it extra special.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a top folding 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. I then added a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ gold card to the front of the card. I cut a piece of white cardstock 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and scored along all sides at 1/4″ and 3/8″ to create a frame. This was then added to the front of the gold cardstock. I then die cut two large clipped nested squares out of white cardstock and embossed them with the Amazing Paper Grace Orange Peel Embossing Folder. I die cut two large gold frames using the two largest dies from the clipped nested Squares dies and then adhered them over the front of the card overlapping in the middle. I then used the inside nested square from one of the larger gold frames and added it to the centre of the overlapped clipped nested square panels. I die cut a smaller clipped square out of white cardstock and after stamping the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Beautiful Inside and Out Sentiments Stamp set with Jet Black ink in the centre, I adhered it to the front of the gold nested square. I die cut four frames using the next two size down clipped nested squares – three out of white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. These were stacked together and witht the gold die on top. This was then added to the front clipped square panel framing the sentiment.

I then die cut the corner dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadow Box Frame Dies out of gold cardstock and added them to the corners to finish the frame.

These were added around the flowers and the nested square dies to create a pretty floral bouquet.

Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Slimline Borders Birthday Card

Kia ora koutou

I love lacy dies and these Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Slimline Borders Dies are just stunning to add some pretty edges and decorative backgrounds to add some flowers and a butterfly. These border dies can be used in so many ways and today I have done a 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card. I had some flowers left over from a previous project so this card was so quick and easy to put together. You can see the other card card here and on that post there is a link to a video tutorial on how I have made these flowers on YouTube.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. I then cut a piece of white cardstock 4″ x 5 1/4″ and scored at 1/8″ intervals down the long side of the card and then adhered it to the front of the card.

I cut the following pieces of card:

Blue card – 4 1/2″ x 4″

White card – 3″ x 4″

Pink card – 2″ x 4″

I die cut each end of the blue card with the ‘broderie anglais’ edge and stitch edge dies, the white card with the scallop and stitched dies and the pink card with the lacy decorative edge dies. I then layered the pink strip to the white strip to the blue strip and adhered them to the front of the embossed layer on the front of the card.

I cut a strip of white card 7/8″ x 4″ and embossed a line at 1/8″ along each long side to add some interest to this panel. I then stamped the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Lyrical Layers Floral Stamp Set in Jet Black ink to the right side of the strip. This was then added to the centre of the pink lacy edged strip.

The flowers were made using the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Heart Facade Dies. I have ink blended pink and yellow inks on white cardstock before die cutting the flowers out and assembling them. I have also used the same flowers on another card that you can see here. The small sprays are from the Amazing Paper Grace October 2021 Die of the Month Flourished Fleurit Dies and have been die cut out of yellow and green cardstock. I added some gold pearls to the centres of the open flowers.

To finish the card I added a blue, white and gold butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters Dies.

Amazing Paper Grace Sympathy Card

Kia ora Koutou

My card today has been inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest and I immediately thought the beautiful Amazing Paper Grace Emmeline Treillage die would make a beautiful background to some gorgeous handmade flowers using the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Dies and leaves and a butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies. I have kept the colours very muted and limited to blue, green and white with a touch of lemon to keep with the sympathy theme of the card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have created a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of pale blue cardstock 4 1/8″ x 4 3/8″ and adhered it to the inside back of the card. I then die cut the lacey front out using the beautiful ‘daisy chain’ die from the Amazing Paper Grace Emmeline Treillage die. I die cut another decorative die from a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white cardtock and adhered it to the front of the card for more strength.

I die cut three decorative ovals from the Amazing Paper Grace Double Halo Oval dies and stacked the decorative frame together and adhered it to the front of the card. I then stamped the sentiment in black ink on one of the inner ovals and adhered it to the inside of the frame.

I die cut the leaves out of two different colour green cardstocks using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies and adhered them to the left of the oval. I then made the dimensional flowers from flower shaping paper using the flower dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Dies. The blue flowers where coloured with French Ultramarine ink and the smaller flowers were coloured with Citrus Burst inks. Once these were assembled I adhered them over the leaves.

I made the butterfly out of white, blue and black cardstocks using the butterfly dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies and adhered it to the right of the oval as shown.

To finish the card I have added some white pearls to the centres of the flowers and the daisies on the decorative background die.

Amazing Paper Grace Cozy Home Scene

Today I have a special card to share with you that I have made for someone that has moved into our neighbourhood and in my street. I wanted to make a card to welcome her to our friendly neighbourhood and Amazing Paper Grace had the perfect dies to do this. I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene collection – in particular the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene – Cozy Home Dies. I just love all the details and textures in these dies. I have also added a couple of cats from the Amazing Paper Grace Rolling Along Scene dies as these are coming soon to the household. And to finish the card I have added some Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossoms to remind her that it was spring when she moved in. These are not colours I normally use but I am really pleased at how they worked together in this card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have used grey cardstock to make the card base using the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Card Base dies. I have added some scenic pattern paper in the background to create my scene background and used acetate to hold the sentiment so the background is not blocked. For the house I have added yellow cardstock behind the windows and white trims to the windows and a white door. I also die cut the bottom half of the house out again in green cardstock to create grass. The fence has been die cut in white and I also added some green grass in front of the fence using the grass die from the Amazing Paper Grace Rolling Make a Scene Along Dies.

The measurements for the inserts are:

Back insert – acetate is 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″

Middle insert – House is 4 3/4″ x 2 3/4″

Front insert – Fence is 4 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

For the front of the card scene I have added a white scallop frame and a blue rectangle decorative frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Scallop Facade Frame Dies. The blue frame is the same colour in the background paper and tides the whole card together.

To finish the front I have added some pink and yellow cherry blossoms from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Dies.

The Make a Scene interactive section has then been added to a top folding 5″ x 7″ grey card base. Inside the card I have added a piece of white cardstock to write on and made a label using the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Adornments dies out of white and grey cardstock. I have also hot foiled the ‘Welcome to the Neighbourhood’ sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace You Are My Home Hot Foil Plates on grey cardstock in blue foil.

An Amazing Paper Grace Rainbow Birthday Card

I am relatively new to ink blending and and I have really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful rainbow coloured cards on Instagram. My card today has been inspired by a couple of cards in particular on Instagram that have featured gorgeous soft pastel blends and resist ink blending. For my card today I have hot foiled the Amazing Paper Grace Diamonetta Background Hot Foil Plate with Opal Foil and then ink blended a rainbow over the foiling and I was very pleased with the resist effect. I added a rectangle frame and then an oval frame for the flowers to sit on the card. I coloured the flowers in the pinks and yellows that I had used on the card to keep the colours in harmony. A sweet butterfly and a simple stamped and die cut sentiment finishes the card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have created a base card of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ out of white cardstock. I hot foiled the diamond pattern using the Diamonetta Background Hot Foil Plate using Opal foil on white cardstock. I then ink blended a rainbow with Distress Oxide inks – colours listed below the photos and then die cut the rectangle using the largest plain edge die from the Postage Edge Squares dies and adhered this to the front of the card. I die cut two frames using the second largest postage edge square and the second largest plain edge dies from the Postage Edge Squares dies out of white cardstock. These were stacked together and adhered to the front of the card with foam strips. I die cut three decorative ovals using the small oval from the Double Halo Oval dies out of white cardstock. These were stacked together and adhered to the middle of the frame. A single inner was added to the middle of the frame.

For the flowers I have blended the yellow and pink inks on white cardstock and then die cut the flowers out using the dies from the Primrose Heart Facade Dies. These have been shaped and assembled and I have added the leaves, stems and base of the flowers die cut out of green cardstock. I then arranged the flowers and leaves around the oval on the bottom right of the card.

To finish I have stamped and die cut the sentiment from the Lyrical Layered Florals Clear Stamp and Die Set in black ink. I also die cut two plain dies and stacked the three dies together with the stamped image on top and adhered the sentiment to the centre of the oval using foam squares. The butterfly is from the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters and has been made from vellum coloured in the same colours used in the card and accented with gold trims.

Amazing Flowers With Love

Happy Easter Sunday. I hope you are enjoying your Easter break with friends and family and indulging in delicious chocolates and hot cross buns.

Today I have a sweet card to share with you today featuring some older Amazing Paper Grace dies with new flowers and a gorgeous butterfly. I really love the Amazing Paper Grace dies that you can die cut and emboss and the finish is so elegant and beautiful! I have made a card base using the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rectangles, Hemstitch Rectangles and Isadora Trinkets dies to show how easy it is to get this gorgeous finish. I added some pretty handcrafted flowers and a sweet butterfly to embellish this card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a base card of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ out of white cardstock. I have layered die cut and embossed Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rectangles, Hemstitch Rectangles and Isadora Trinkets dies with gold for a classic and elegant finish.

I have made the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms and Petite Floral Potpourri dies and added them to leaves made from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers and the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – Aug22 – Peekaboo Trellis and cut out of green cardstock. To finish the flowers I have added micro polystyrene balls that I have dyed with some pale lavender alcohol ink and added them to the leaves for more dimension and interest.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder – another one of my favourite dies. To complete the card I have created a butterfly out of vellum and cardstock and added it to the card.

The sentiment has been die cut three times – two from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock and stacked together with the gold on top and added to the middle of the card.

The Amazing Paper Grace Isadora Trinkets dies embossed so nicely.

The pink lily flowers have been inspired by a tutorial on the Amazing Paper Grace Encouragement Community Group on Facebook by Anita Kejriwal where she made some Alstromeras from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms.
