Hello Rainbow Unicorn Baby Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another baby card to share with you that I made for my daughter’s friend who loves unicorns and rainbows. I have used a mix of Amazing Paper Grace and Pink Fresh Studio dies to make this card and the unicorn, rainbow and bow images I purchased off Etsy to create this gender neutral card which the recipient loved.

To keep with the rainbow theme I ink blended the background with rainbow colour inks using a cloud stencil. I then partially embossed it with the Spellbinders 3D Tufted Embossing Folder. I also made the flowers with the same ink colours to create further harmony with the colours.

The Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cabinet Dies were the perfect frame for the sweet unicorn and the rainbow and reminds me of beautiful draping of a baby cradle.

Sparkle was added with lots of stickles on the flowers and images, iridescent gems on the frame and the holographic card for the large letter dies from Lawn Fawn.

Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Baby Boy

Kia ora Koutou

I have a sweet baby boy card to share with you today featuring the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month October 2019 One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies as the base for the oversized ‘Sweet’ word from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies and the gorgeous stork from the Amazing Paper Grace Amazing Paper Grace Layered Bundle of Joy Dies. The florals and small leaves are in the One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies and all I needed to add was some more foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a side folding 5″ x 7″ card out of white cardstock. I added the lovely blue floral paper from Mintay to the front of the card. I die cut the frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month October 2019 One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies out of white cardstock and added it to the front with foam tape. I used the same die to cut out the bottom half of the die out of blue wood effect paper and then added the paper to the inside of the frame as shown.

I die cut the inner decorative banner out of the blue wood effect paper and added it to the panel that goes across the front of the card. I then die cut a piece of white cardstock using the inner plain die and sponged the edges with blue ink before adding over the decorative blue frame. I die cut the letters to spell ‘Baby Boy” out of dark blue cardstock and added it to the panel as shown.

For the sentiment I die cut the large ‘Sweet’ sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies out of white cardstock and ink blended an ombre effect using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I then die cut another sentiment out of dark blue cardstock, added it behind the ombre sentiment and adhered it to the top half of the card.

I die cut the stork from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Bundle of Joy out of white cardstock and coloured it with grey and orange inks. I die cut the bundle out of white cardstock and ink blended it with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and added it to the stork. To finish the stork I used a black pen to add the eye. This stork was then added to the card on the right using foam squares.

I die cut some foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies out of light green cardstock, trimmed the foliage and then added it to the bottom right and top left of the sentiment panel as well as on the bundle on the stork. I die cut the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month October 2019 One Kind Word Alphabet Etched Dies out of soft flower shaping paper and coloured them with lavender and yellow inks. These were spritzed and shaped and once dry were added over the foliage around the central panel and on the bundle. I coloured the leaves with green ink and added them around the flowers.

To finish the card I added small pearls to the centres of the flowers and to the decorative panel as shown.

Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Christmas Card

Kia ora Koutou

My Christmas card today is full of layers, textures and dimension created using several different dies from Amazing Paper Grace. The hero of the card is the gorgeous and very versatile Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignette Animal House Dies. This die set can be used as a cat or dog house but can equally be used as a birdhouse because of the circle die that goes with this set. I have paired this bird house with the sweet birds from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and Christmas foliage and flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif Dies. The texture on this card comes from the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish Embossing Folder, the background die – A2 Amazing Paper Grace Corner Cotillion Dies and the embossed woodgrain finish on the base of the bird house.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To create my card I have created a top folding 5″ x 6″ base card out of white cardstock. I added a layer of gold cardstock and then added embossed a piece of 4 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ blue cardstock with the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish Embossing Folder before adding it to the front of the card. I die cut two decorative dies from the Amazing Paper Grace A2 Corner Cotillion dies out of white cardstock and added it over the blue embossed layer.

To make the birdhouse I die cut the base die out of brown cardstock and embossed it with an old woodgrain embossing folder from my stash. I then sponged some brown ink on the edges to create more depth to the embossing. I then die cut an inner base out of blue cardstock using the plain die and then adhered it to the base house die. I then die cut two decorative fronts – one from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. I then die cut the circle out of both dies before adhering them together with the gold die behind the white die slightly offset. This decorative front was then added to the base of the birdhouse using foam strips. I die cut the roof out of brown cardstock and sponged the edges with brown ink before adding the two white edges to create the ‘fringe’. The roof was then added to the top of the birdhouse with foam strips and then the entire bird house was adhered to the card front.

I die cut the birds from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies out of white, gold and blue cardstocks and then assembled them. I added some holly and ivy to the birds using the dies from this set then I die cut four flourishes from the same die set out of gold cardstock. I stacked two dies together to create two flourishes. I added a flourish to the top right of the bird house and the other to the bottom left of the birdhouse. The birds were then added over the flourishes using several layers of foam tape as required to secure the birds as shown.

I die cut and assembled the foliage dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif Dies using brown, red and green cardstocks. These were then added under and over the flourishes and the birds. I die cut the poinsettia flowers out of white cardstock and coloured them with blue ink before assembling them with two layers of petals each. I added a gold centre to each flower and then adhered them to the base of the birds.

I made the sentiment out of white and cardstock using the sentiment strips from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and adhered it to the birdhouse with foam strips.

To finish the card I added Simply White Nuvo Drops to the flourishes on the background dies and on the birdhouse front.

The very sweet embellishments take the background layering dies to a new dimension for a classic, timeless and elegant card that will delight the recipient for many years to come. And the copperplate script hot foiled sentiment adds the perfect finish to this card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I then die cut the outer frame from the Amazing Paper Grace May 2019 Die of the Month – Nostalgic Serenade out of gold cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card with foam strips. I die cut the inner label from the same die set out of gold cardstock and added it to the centre of the frame using thicker foam tap. I hot foiled the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Holiday Glimmer Sentiments using gold foil on ivory pearl card before die cutting with the inner plain edge die and added this to the gold label with foam tape.

I die cut two flourishes out of gold cardstock from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and adhered one to the top right of the frame and one to the bottom left of the frame. I die cut the bird out of white and gold cardstocks, assembled it before adding it to the top right of the frame over the flourish with foam tape.

I die cut the snowman out of white, blue, orange cardstock using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Let It Snowman A2 Card Front Dies and assembled it before gluing to some gold cardstock. I die cut the foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace November 2020 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Poinsettia Sleigh out of green cardstock and added the leaves around the bird and snowman.

I die cut the poinsettia flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace November 2020 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Poinsettia Sleigh out of white cardstock. I coloured the flowers with green and blue inks before assembling with two petals per flower of the same size. I added snow to the flowers using TCW Opalescent Stardust Butter and then when dry added them around the bird and snowman.

To complete the card I added some gold pearls to the centre of the snowman belly, the poinsettias and around the sentiment.

Amazing Paper Grace Congrats Fanfare Elegant Rectangles

Kia ora Koutou

Welcome back for another Amazing Paper Grace post. Today I have gone back to my favourite style – ivory and gold classic and elegant card featuring the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2020 Fanfare Elegant Rectangles Etched Dies. I so love the lacy and delicate dies that are perfect to add pretty handcrafted flowers made with the flower dies that came in the same set. This would be the perfect wedding card that will make a wonderful keepsake for the wedding album.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a top folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I then added some gold cardstock to the front and layered some ivory pearl card over it after scoring two lines on each side 1/8″ apart.

I die cut to outer decorative frames from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2020 Fanfare Elegant Rectangles Etched Dies – one from ivory pearl card and one from gold card. I trimmed the gold frame in half and added it behind the ivory frame and then adhered it to the front of the card.

I die cut 8 medallions from the same die set out of ivory pearl card and trimmed 6 of them in half. These motifs are designed to be trimmed and can be slotted on to edges for a decorative finish. I added four flourishes to each corner of the card and then added a lacy decorative edge to each side of the inner cut out and I then added the 6 lacy edges around the inner cut out and adhered the pretty lace edged inner cut out to the centre of the frame with foam tape.

I die cut an oval frame out of ivory pearl card using the small oval dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Classics Oval Etched Dies and added the frame to the centre of the inner panel with foam tape and the inner oval to the centre of the frame.

I die cut the leaves out of light green cardstock using the leaf dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched Dies and trimmed them to add to the top left and bottom right of the oval frames. I die cut small leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motif Etched Dies out of gold glitter cardstock and added them around the green leaves.

I die cut the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2020 Fanfare Elegant Rectangles Etched Dies out of soft flower shaping paper. These were coloured with pink, yellow and blue inks, shaped and assembled with wire pollens. The wires were trimmed and the flowers were added over the tleaves.

I die cut the butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Etched Dies using the ivory pearl card and yellow pearl card with the body made from gold glitter cardstock. The butterfly was assembled and added to the bottom of the fluted classic frame.

I die cut four sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2020 Elegant Infinity Etched Dies – three from ivory pearl card and one from gold cardstock. These were stacked together with the gold die on top and then added to the centre of the oval fluted classic frame.

To complete the card I added pearls to the decorative frame and the corner motifs.

Amazing Paper Grace Victorian Crest Shabby Chic Birthday Card

Kia ora Koutou

I was recently asked to do a birthday card for my husband’s boss and the brief was that the recipient loved fashion. I purchased some gorgeous fashion related papers and ephemera and teamed it up with the Amazing Paper Grace Victoriana Crest Dies to create a very romantic, shabby chic birthday card. I have also used just one floral die set – the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies to create three different flowers which were the aged using Perfect Pearls to further enhance the shabby chic feel of the card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I created a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I layered rose pink cardstock, floral paper, ivory pearl paper and striped paper to create the background to the embellishments.

I die cut the large decorative frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Victoriana Crest Etched Dies out of rose pink cardstock and embossed it for more depth and dimension. I then added this to the front of the card using foam tape. I then die cut two inner floral frames from the same die set out of ivory pearl paper, stacked them together and them added it to the inside of the frame.

I fussy cut the elements from the Mintay Her Story Paper and added them to the inside left of the frame using foam tape to add more dimension to some of the images.

I die cut the leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched dies out of soft flower shaping paper and coloured them with Sage and Eucalyptus inks to tie in with the colours on the pattern paper. These were spritzed lightly before shaping and when dry were added to the bottom left of the frame over the ephemera.

I die cut the rose petals using the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched dies out of soft flower shaping paper. I coloured the roses using Coral Berry and Lemon Whip inks before spritzing them, shaping and assembling. into two roses. The small rose petals were coloured with Ballet Slipper, Strawberry and Grapevine inks and the small pale pink flowers were coloured with Lemon Whip and Cherry Blossom inks. I used wire pollens for the centres of the small flowers. When the flowers were assembled I added Copper, Bronze, and Pearl Perfect Pearls to the flowers using a water brush to get the antique look I was after. Once all the flowers were assembled and completely dry I added them over the leaves.

I then added more floral and foliage ephemera from the pattern paper around the flowers and leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from the amazing Paper Grace Lyrical Layers Clear Stamp and Die set on ivory pearl paper with Wow embossing ink and heat embossed it with Rose Gold Embossing Powder. I die cut the sentiment out using the coordinating die and another couple of plain dies. These were stacked together with the sentiment on top and then added to the card as shown.

To finish my card I added pearls to the outer and inner decorative frames and on the chair.

Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Knots Anniversary Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have a stunning anniversary card to share with you today featuring the beautiful Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month August 2019 Elegant Knots Etched Dies as a base for gorgeous flowers and some elegant Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist layering dies. A timeless and classic hot foiled sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant occasion Hot Foil Plate and a pretty coordinating ribbon bow finishes the card beautifully.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of cream cardstock. I added a layer of rose pearl card and another layer of pink pearl paper that I had scored every 1/8″ for some texture.

Using the outer shadow die I die cut a shadow out of pink pearl paper which I then embossed with the inner decorative die. I die cut two decorative dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month August 2019 Elegant Knots Etched Dies – one from rose pearl card and one from rose glitter card. I trimmed the glitter die in half and then adhered the rose die over the glitter die slightly offsetting the glitter die. This was then added to the embossed shadow die before adhering to the front of the card.

I wrapped some pink/gold silk ribbon to the centre of the dies.

I then die cut the layers for the centre using the large and medium dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant twist Ovals Etched Dies alternating the rose pearl card and the rose glitter cad. I added the top layer using foam tape.

I hot foiled the sentiment to the pink pearl paper using Rose Gold Foil and die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. I die cut another plain die from the rose card and adhered the sentiment to this before adding to the middle of the oval dies.

I die cut the leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers dies out of light green cardstock and inked the leaves with green ink to create shape and dimension. The leaves were then added to the left side of the oval.

I die cut small leaves out of light green cardstock from the Amazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motif Etched Dies and added them around the bigger leaves.

I die cut the flourish from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud dies out of rose gold glitter cardstock and adhered it over the leaves.

I die cut the flowers out of flower shaping paper using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Flowers dies. I coloured these with pink inks and sprayed them with Glimmer Mist. The flowers were then shaped and assembled when dry with two of one size petals and one smaller petal. I used brown wire stamens in the centres. I die cut the sepals out of green cardstock and inked the edges with green ink before adding them to the base of the flowers. The wires were trimmed and the flowers added over the top of the leaves.

I die cut the smaller flowers out of flower shaping paper using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies. These were coloured with pink and peach inks and sprayed with Glimmer Mist. Once dry these were shaped and I added some yellow pearl stamens to the centres. I then added the small flowers around the leaves and larger flowers.

To finish the card I made a bow out of the pink and gold ribbon and added it to the right side of the oval and added a rose coloured pearl to the centre.

Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Reveal Shutter Card

Kia ora Koutou

Last week I posted a quick and simple card made using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Card Dies. This week I have a card showing the elegant reveal shutter element when you open the card using the dies provided in this die set. This would be a perfect wedding card or a very special card for a significant occasion. This die set makes it so easy to create a stunning interactive card in no time at all.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

There is a video tutorial from Becca Feeken on how to assemble this card here.

Inside Back of Card

I have cut a piece of cream cardstock 6″ x 12″ and scored at 3″ and 9″ and folded the sides in to make a 6″ x 6″ gatefold card base. For the inside back of the card I have added a piece of gold cardstock and coordinating cream and gold pearl pattern paper. I then added a gold frame using the small and medium size label dies. I die cut the shutter mechanisms out using the dies in the die set out of cream cardstock. I die cut the label out of the of the middle using the middle sized label die and then adhered this to the inside back by the top and bottom tabs using foam tape. I gold embossed the sentiment on some scrap cream cardstock and die cut it out with the middle sized label die and then added the stamped label inside the aperture. To finish the centre panel I added a gold frame using the medium and large label dies to the aperture opening.

I die cut two side pieces out of cream cardstock using both the decorative panel and base and added gold cardstock behind the decorative panels.. These side panels were added to each side of the centre panel according to the instructions for the die set.

Back of Card

I die cut two decorative panels out of gold cardstock making sure they matched and threaded cream organza ribbon through the centre of the dies and then added both panels on the back of the card.

Front of Card

I added a gold and cream pattern pearl paper to both front panels. I die cut two decorative panels out of gold cardstock and threaded cream organza ribbon through the centres of the panels before adding a plain cream backing to the panels. These panels were added to both side panels.

I die cut the flourishes from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebuds out of the cream cardstock and added one to the top left and one to the bottom right of the side panels. I die cut, coloured and assembled the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies. These flowers were added over the flourishes as shown. I added small green leaves around the flowers and small light green leaf flourishes from the Amazing Paper Grace Adoring Fleurette Etched Dies around the flowers.

To finish the card I added small pearls to the centres of the flowers and closed the card with the organza ribbon.

Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Concertina Wedding Card

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a gorgeous wedding card to share with you that I have created using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2019 – Graceful Concertina. This is a stunning die and is designed with tabs on one side that you can use to create concertina cards, votive holders and much more. When I looked at the die I was reminded of a wedding arch and trellis and this quickly became a wedding card with pretty flowers climbing up the sides.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I made a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of gold cardstock 5″ x 7″ and added it to the front of the card base. I cut a piece of cream cardstock slightly smaller and scored down the long side ever 1/16″ using my scoreboard before adding this to the front of the card.

I die cut two outer decorative frames – one out of gold cardstock and one out of cream cardstock. After trimming of the tabs I adhered the gold frame behind the cream frame slightly offsetting the gold frame and adhered it to the front of the card. I used the gold inner and adhered it to the inside of the frame and then die cut 3 decorative inner panels out of cream cardstock. These were stacked together and added over the gold panel.

To make the floral spray I die cut the small leaf flourishes out of green cardstock from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies and aded them around the frame. I die cut the small buds out of pink cardstock and sponged the ends with Lemon Whip and Peony inks before adding them to the leaf flourishes. I added the sepals made from green cardstock.

For the flowers I have used the small flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies. I have used flower shaping paper and coloured them with Lemon Whip and Peony inks and after shaping them I added some Heart of Gold Prills to the centres of the flowers before adding them to the leaf flourishes.

I die cut three ‘Congrats’ sentiments out of cream cardstock and stacked them together before adding them to the top of the inner panel as shown.

To finish I added some pearls to the decorative dies and at the corners at the top of the card.

Amazing Paper Grace Lacework Finery Slip-In Congrats Card

Kia Ora Koutou

I loved the Amazing Paper Grace dies by Becca Feeken since I first discovered them several years ago for their timeless, romantic and classic look which will never date. Today I have made a card using one of Becca’s earlier designs for the Die of the Month series – Lacework Finery Slip In Card. Here is a video on how Becca has made a card using the ‘slip-in’ feature of the dies. I have still used the ‘slip-in’ feature but in a different way. And I love that there are some flower dies in this set so I could create beautiful flowers for the card. This is such a pretty and feminine card that would be great for special birthdays, weddings or any celebration.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a 5″ x 7″ card base out of pink Centura Pearl cardstock. I used the outside die and the inner ‘slip’ decorative die and the two corner dies to die cut the card front. I then cut a piece of ivory cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and a piece of pink pattern paper 4 5/8″ x 6 5/8″ and adhered it to the front of the ivory cardstock before slipping in inside the decorative frame. I then die cut another single decorative panel and added it to the the front of the card crossing over the other decorative panel. To hide the join I cut a strip of 1″ wide pink cardstock and adhered a strip of 5/7″ ivory cardstock and a strand of ribbon which was then added over the centre of the dies and the edges were folded over the sides of the card. I then added this front panel to the base card.

I die cut a shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Oval dies out of ivory cardstock and a decorative frame out of pink cardstock and adhered them together. This was then added over the centre of the dies with foam tape.

I die cut three ‘Congrats’ sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity dies out of pink cardstock, stacked them together and added it to the centre of the oval as shown.

I die cut leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch & Go Flowers III out of light green cardstock and adhered them to the right of the oval and over the ribbon on the left side.

I die cut the flowers from the Lacework Finery Slip-In die set out of flower shaping cardstock. The petals were coloured with pink and yellow inks and then shaped before assembling with two petals of each size. I then added pearls to the centres of the flowers and added them over the leaves on the right side and the leaves and bow on the left side.

To finish the card I added pearls to the ovals in the centre of the card and to the decorative dies and edges of the card front as shown.
