‘Tis the Season With Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

Gosh we are almost into August and I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. July is nearly done but I have one more Christmas card to share with you featuring the Amazing Paper Grace Gilded Vines Glimmer Plates from The Gilded Age collection by Becca Feeken. I have been watching The Gilded Age series on TV and it is just fabulous and I love looking at all the beautiful gilded decor, gold jewellery and stunning outfits. So this card has been inspired by all the lavish gilding on the walls and even the ceilings. I have kept my card fairly simple and added some Christmas embellishments from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif dies from the Seasonal Labels Motif dies collection.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ made from white cardstock. I added a lovely texture to the top and bottom by die cutting a single decorative edge from the Amazing Paper Grace Infinity Link Border dies out of white cardstock and cutting it in half. I then foiled the background using the Amazing Paper Grace Gilded Vines Glimmer Plates using Aura foil and trimmed the card down and matted it with gold mirror card before adding it to the base card using some Fun Foam.

For the sentiment I used the sentiment from the Christmas Damask Jubilee Hot Foil Plate Set and foiled it on white cardstock before using the rectangle die from the Amazing Paper Grace All Occasions Stamp and Die set before adding it to the centre of the decorative background.

I die cut two frames using the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Rectangle die set – one from gold mirror cardstock and on from white cardstock. These were stacked together and added around the sentiment as shown.

I then made a range of Christmas embellishments using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif dies out using a variety of colours and also some accents in gold mirror cardstock. These embellishments were added to the top left and bottom right of the card as shown. I also added glossy accents to the berries for more dimension and shine.

To finish the card I added some gold pearls to the bottom left, top right and around the sentiment as shown.

Amazing Paper Grace Christmas Gift Box

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a gorgeous Christmas gift box that I have made using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month November 2019 – Winter’s Solstice. I enjoy making boxes or bags to add small treats such as chocolates for my family for Christmas and when I saw that Becca Feeken had made a video demonstrating how to make this box I had to make it. You can see the video here. I had a lot of fun making this and decorating it with various dies from Amazing Paper Grace.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have made the box according the the instructions from Becca Feeken up to adding the gold dies. You can see the video here. I did inlay some of the gold accents in the large outer decorative die and added some gold pearls to decorate them. I also added the ribbon but left the bow and decorated the top of the box with floral elements for a festive feel.

To decorate my box I have die cut several foliage elements from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif Dies and Petite Floral Potpourri Dies from green, red and brown cardstock to create the base.

The lantern is also from the Holiday Label Motif Dies and made from gold mirror cardstock and I have used Copic markers to colour the flame on the candle. This was added using foam squares.

The poinsettia is from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Poinsettia Dies and I have used Copic markers to colour the flowers and leaves before assembling the flower. I then used some Moonlight Gold Lunar Past for some golden sparkle and the stamens have been made from yellow Nuvo drops and I have added a dot of red in the centres with a red Copic marker.

The white flowers are made using the flower die from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2020 – Elegant Infinity and after shaping and adding the stamens I added some Crystal Stickles to the petals for some shine and sparkle.

To finish the box I added a gold ribbon to the sides of the top and finished it with a gold pearl.

Amazing Paper Grace Christmas Greetings

Kia ora Koutou

Today I am sharing the first Christmas card I have made this year and I am so happy to have made a start on them. The Amazing Paper Grace 3D Vignette Dies make it so easy to make a shaped card with a nifty little hinge by die cutting close to the side edge with the tabs over the fold. This helps with allowing the card to fold over and more space if you wish add extra embellishments inside the card as well. For this card I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Snow Globe Dies as the base and the Amazing Paper Grace Santa Claus Layering Set Dies to decorate the front of the card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I created the base card using the outer shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Snow Globe Dies out of white cardstock. I then die cut three decorative panels using the shadow and inner decorative dies out of pearlescent cardstock that had a tinge of gold. I then added some double sided paper adhesive to the base of the front and the inner panels. I then removed the top of the adhesive paper before adding the decorative panels and then added some Diamond Sprinkles to the sticky paper for a sparkly finish.

I die cut two decorative circle frames out of gold mirror cardstock and white cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Circle dies. These were stacked together with the gold on top and then added to the top of the circle on the front of the card.

I then die cut the sun ray die from the Amazing Paper Grace Santa Claus Layering Set Dies out of the pearl card. I added some more double sided adhesive paper to some pearl card and die cut it out with the plain circle die. I removed the top of the adhesive paper and then added the sunray die to the circle before adding some more Diamond Sprinkles.

I then die cut the Santa and tree die from the same set out of pearl cardstock and made sure to emboss the die before adding to the sunray circle with foam strips. This was then added to the middle of the gold Elegant Twist frame.

To finish the front I added some gold holly leaves to the base of the card, a gold pearl to the centre of the sun ray and some clear gems with gold dust radiating out from the centre and also the the leaves.

I repeated the same steps to the inside right panel of the card this time using the Christmas Greetings die from the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Snow Globe Dies.

I left the inside left panel blank to write the greeting.

Nautical Christmas Card

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have another downunder Christmas card to share with you featuring a nautical theme with a kiwi twist. When I saw the stunning Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle at Spellbinders I had to get this set as it was perfect for masculine cards, for the sailing enthusiasts as well as Christmas cards to send overseas. For the Christmas cards I also stamped, coloured and fussy cut some pohutakawa flowers to add a kiwi flavour to the cards I sent overseas. The pohutakawa tree is a New Zealand native tree that blooms with red flowers at Christmas time and is known as the New Zealand Christmas tree. I have also added some background with the Heartfelt Creations Sea Breeze Collection papers and coordinating dies. Of course I had to add some glitter to the flowers and sea to add some sparkle. Watch out for more Christmas cards to come for Christmas in July celebrations.

Meri Kirihimete Amazing Paper Grace

Kia Ora Koutou

Welcome Back to my blog and since it is Christmas in July I have a very summery Christmas card to share with you that I made last year and never had the chance to post. This card was very quick and easy to made using some gorgeous dies from Amazing Paper Grace to frame the Santa image which I got free from a Facebook page.

My Project

I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Classic Square Dies and the Postage Edge Square Dies for the frames and decorated it with a poinsettia and foliage using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month November 2020 Pop up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh Dies.

The sentiment is Te Reo (Maori) and has been printed on the computer and then die cut with the small rectangle from the Amazing Paper Grace Giving Occasions Stamp and Die and matted with some red cardstock and added to the bottom of the frame with some gold pearls.

It is hard to see in the photo but I added some Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the sea and Santa to give the card some sparkle.

Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Kia Ora Koutou

Today I have a very special birthday card I made for a very special person using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace 3D Vignette Mini Album Collection by Becca Feeken. Shaped cards are so easy when you use a 3D Vignette die and my favourite 3D Vignette die is the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Vaulted Cabinet Etched Dies. I love the shape of the aperture and I especially love the swirls and flourishes in the decorative background too. I have paired these dies with the Amazing Paper Grace Birthday Wishes Vignette Etched Dies from the Beautiful Sentiment Vignette Dies Collection by Becca Feeken to change this to a birthday card. Finally I added a beautiful hot foiled sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Heart Felt Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cardlets Collection on the interactive pivot banner for extra meaning and a sweet butterfly from the Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Etched Dies to the front.

I have used soft pinks, cream and white with accents of gold for this card for a soft, vintage, romantic and elegant shaped card that the recipient loved.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

You can watch a video here on how to create the pop up element on a card as well as in the mini album here: https://youtu.be/AMmUn1SxksI?si=xtKsM7mR1UkQKgII. You can also see how adding the shadow die to the edge of folded cardstock creates the shaped card.

Amazing Paper Grace Magnolia Frame Card

Kia ora Koutou

I apologise for not posting anything for a while but I had a bad fall at the end of last year and ended up with concussion and a broken nose. The concussion was causing a lot of issues and I had to take a break away from using the computer and my devices to allow my brain to heal. I have been attending Concussion Clinic and that has also been really helpful with exercises to get my brain back together. I am almost back to my ‘normal’ self and it is time to get back to what I enjoy doing best which is cardmaking.

While I was away from screens I did a lot of colouring with Copic markers as I found it very relaxing and therapeutic and it settled a lot of the headaches. The image I have used today is from one of Kit and Clowder’s bonus classes from Nov/Dec 2024. As I could not follow the colouring on the computer I just coloured the flower by going of Alyce’s colouring in the booklet that was provided with the class and I am so happy how it turned out. I then used the Amazing Paper Grace Adoria Square Frame die from the Amazing Paper Grace Shadowbox collection by Becca Feeken too create a frame for the image and which could also be used as a card. I left putting a sentiment on the front so that if I use it as a card I can add the appropriate sentiment or it can be kept as a frame on a table.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My card is 6″ x 6″ and I have layered white and brushed gold cardstock with foam tape to create the base for the floral image.

To add more texture I die cut two of the medium sized decorative squares out of white cardstock and trimmed each in half and added it to the four corners of the top layer of white cardstock. I then added some white satin ribbon to cover the joins.

I then cut a piece of white cardstock 5″ x 5″ and die cut the square aperture out using the larger square die from the Adoria Square die. Using this as a template I added the coloured image to the card base and then added the frame with foam tape.

I die cut two outer decorative frames from white cardstock and adhered them together before adding them to the frame.

To complete the card I added pearls to the inner edge of the frame and on the decorative frame and then added a white satin bow to the base of the frame and added more pearls over the bow.

Amazing Paper Grace Gift Basket

Kia ora Koutou

Today I am continuing with the wedding theme and possibly taking myself to Valentine’s Day. I have a gorgeous gift basket to share with you made using the Amazing Paper Grace Favorably Simple Gift Box Etched Dies from one of Becca Feeken’s earliest collections the Wedding Collection. This die set was incredibly easy to put together (you can see a video on how to make this box here) and it took me longer to decorate the box. This gift box would be great to put the wedding rings in for a wedding ceremony, or put an engagement ring for a proposal or even special jewellery or chocolates for Valentine’s Day.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I die cut the front and back out of Barely Peach card and the bases of the box out of gold card. I have used some very pretty pearlised embossed paper from my stash to decorate the front and back of the box. I then used the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners in gold highlights at the top and bottom of the box.using the Barely Peach card for some contrast on the bottom of the gift box. Scroll down to see the back of the box for what I have done both front and back of the box.

The pretty flowers and leaves are from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners and made using some soft flower shaping paper while the leaves have been die cut out of green cardstock. I have set the flowers on a gorgeous flourish from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies die cut out of gold and Barely Peach card..

To finish the gift box I have added two double sided hearts made from the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Heart Facade dies decorated with some crystals and a silk ribbon bow at the top of the flourish and flowers.

Save the Date Wedding Invitation Using Amazing Paper Grace Dies

Kia ora Koutou

We are in the middle of the summer wedding season here in New Zealand and today I have a special card that is also a Save the Date invitation that can be kept as a special memento for the wedding album. Most wedding planning etc is done online and I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Classic Elegance Tall Pocket to create a pocket for an Save the Date invitation using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator with the dates on the back. I have used sweet blush and pink tones for the card front and the invitation. The flowers are from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms. I absolutely love the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Sampler Collection dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Etched Dies was perfect for the top of the invitation.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My card base is 5″ x 7″ and I have matted gold and Barely Peach card on the card front. I then cut another piece of Barely Peach card slightly smaller and embossed it with the Amazing Paper Grace Orange Peel 3D Embossing Folder. I then ink blended the edges with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar oxide inks. I die cut the pocket from the Classic Elegance Tall Pocket Etched Dies out of Barely Peach card. I also die cut a pocket out of acetate and trimmed it to fit behind the pocket before adding this to the card front. The acetate backing allowed me to add the flowers to the pocket.

To make the invitation I cut a piece of Barely Peach card 4″ x 5″ and using the bottom edge die from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Etched Dies die cut the edge from one short end. then cut another peice of gold cardstock 3″ x 4″ and matted it with a smaller blush card which had two lines scored around each end and has been ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar inks. This was then placed on the front of the invitation. I die cut the ‘Save the Date’ words from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies out of gold cardstock and two layers of blush card. These were stacked together on added to the front of the envelope.

For the back of the envelope I repeated the same process with the matted layers and then added the grid and the Date and the numbers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies.

I die cut two flourishes from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Edged Corner Dies and added them to the base of the matted layers and also die cut two edges from the same die set out of gold cardstock and added them to the top front and back of the invitation.

I have die cut the flowers using the flower dies from the Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies out of Barely Peach Cardstock. I added some Kitsch Flamingo ink to the centre of the flowers, shaped the petals with my fingers and then assembled the flowers with two petals. I die cut the large and medium sized stamens using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies out of flower shaping paper. I coloured the stamens with Lemon Whip ink and then shaped them with a ball stylus. I adhered two of each sized together making sure they overlapped and then added the larger and smaller stamens to the centre of the flower. I then added a pink iridescent jewel to the centre of the flower. I added the flowers to the bottom left of the pocket and also to the decorative edge and the top of the pull out invitation.

I die cut the leaves out of green cardstock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Die and the leaf dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Edged Corners Edged Corner Dies. I coloured the edges with Mowed Lawn ink, shaped them with my fingers and spritzed the with some Glimmer Mist before adding them around the flowers.

I die cut the small flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies out of flower shaping paper. I coloured them with Lemon Whip ink and spritzed them with water before shaping them. Once they were dry I added them around the larger flowers and leaves and added a yellow iridescent gem to the centre of the flowers.
