This is great for new ideas, motivation  and sharing.

Don’t forget we still have lots of products in the warehouse including tools, albums, paper packs, stickers, embellishments and accents and the consultants are all sharing their products so if there is anything you would particularly want please contact me and I can put the message out to the other consultants to see if they have it.

So keep positive, stay calm and keep scrapping.

Happy Mother’s Day

Today is Mother’s Day and it is a chance to reflect on how important mothers are in our world today.  They provide unconditional love and support to their children and are the glue that holds families together.

I have created this card for all the mothers in the world.  I have used the 2013 Anniversary Digital Kit and used the colour coordination feature to change the colours from blue/green to my favourite pink.  I hope you enjoy my offering.

Rugged family time

Welcome

Regardless of what is happening with Creative Memories I still have my son’s album to complete.  This double page layout is special as it shows my husband and I spending some special time with James.  James cried a lot as a baby and often my husband, Matthew was the only one who could settle him which helped me a lot, and gave me some time out.  On the whole though he was a good baby and was so cute!

Reaching for the sun

Just a little photo to cheer people up after the last few days. I was really pleased at how this photo turned out and I did not have to do a lot to improve this photo. The daisy seems to just pop out on the page. Some days I can get great photos and other days I delete a lot, but I am improving.
I hope you all have a great day.

Pink Parfait

This is the companion to my other photo. I don’t have a lot of flowers left in my garden as we are in Autumn here, but the geraniums are always good for photos.
Happy snapping

Hanging in there

My photo of the day. Yesterday I went out in between showers and managed to get a few photos and here is the best one. The colours are just beautiful and I couldn’t believe I managed to capture this perfect rain drop.
I hope you all have a great day.

Early morning glory

Yesterday I got up early and went down to the river with my camera. It is starting to get a little cooler in the mornings now and there was a heavy dew, but the birds were singing and it was lovely to wander about communing with nature. I have taken a few lovely photos and here is one flower I managed to get with an insect on it. The bees were nowhere to be seen as it was too cold for them, so an incy wincy spider will have to do. I hope you enjoy it.
Have a good day everyone.

Memory Manager Magic

Welcome back

I would like to take the time to thank all the people that visit my blog and take the time to comment and like my posts.  I really appreciate the feedback and hope that you are enjoying what I am posting.

Yesterday I was doing a digital presentation and was playing around with the Memory Manager filters.  I was showing how you can create different effects with the Filter button in the Adjust ribbon once you have double clicked on the photo.

Here is the original image:

The image after having the rotating, cropping and AutoFix:

I then clicked on the Filter>Artistic Effects>Oil Painting to finish with an oil painting.   Here is the finished image:

Oil Painting

One aspect of doing this effect is that there were some elements in the image that could have been cloned out, but would have been time consuming, but the oil painting effect covered it all over.  I was really impressed with my artwork and will look at creating a card out of it.

I am normally a purist with my photography, but my old camera was not quite so good as my new one and sometimes there is a need to do something completely different.   This just opens up a whole new artistic direction for me!  Watch this space for more special effects

The Memory Manager 4.0 is reasonably priced and very simple to use, so if you would like more information please feel free to contact me.

Pretty in Pink

My photo of the day. I was really pleased at how this photo has turned out. There had been quite a bit of rain the night before and there were lots of raindrops on the flowers.  This azalea is such a pretty pink and the raindrops are just like little gemstones shining in the sun.  I seem to gravitate towards pink flowers – perhaps that is because my favourite colour is pink!
I hope this cheers your day.
All the best

Reflections of a Day in the Sun

Hi there

I am loving the Border Maker system for my scrapbooking and have had this idea brewing in my head since buying the Rustic Fence cartridge, and despite my working on my son’s album, I just had to get this out onto a page.  I also got some inspiration from a page that came from Creative Memories using lots of leaves from the Reflection Paper Flower range.  I have also used the little flowers that come from using the Twinkle Chain cartridge as well.  They make great embellishments – especially when I am working with flowers and flower photos.  I never waste anything – I have scrap drawers to prove this!!

In case people wonder why I do so many flower layouts and not many of my family, my family are not keen on having a lot of photos of themselves on the internet.  Once photos are on the internet it is hard to control where they go.  They don’t mind the baby ones so much (?) but would prefer not be to identified with more recent photos.  I have to respect their wishes.  Besides I must confess to having hundreds of nature photographs and can’t resist using them.
