Amazing Paper Grace September Die of the Month Blog Hop – Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register

Cha-ching!  Is there any living person that hasn’t absolutely been intrigued by a Cash Register and all of its compartments and treasure it holds inside?  As kids, it’s one of the first grown up toys we played with.  The sound of a cash register ringing means prosperity and so many good things.  Say welcome to the Amazing Paper Grace September 2021 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.

The light-hearted, pun-filled sentiments are perfect for any occasion, to send this 3D Fold Flat card.  Want to let someone know how valuable they are to you? Then the “Priceless” sentiment will say that loud and clear.  Want to express your opinion?  Then actually you’re looking for the “Just My .02” sentiment.  It’s so cute, there’s even a front drawer where you can actually fold and put in some currency.

Here are some ideas that might inspire you to create:

1. Make the traditional cash register and stock it with gift cards

2. Make a basket from both facades for donations or as a friendly tip jar

3. Are you in the middle of a fundraiser?  Use it as a table favor to break the ice.

4. Create a mini album with a cash register on the front and back for kids to record their savings

There are 16 dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.*

My Projects Today using Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.

I have made a pop up 3D card using a combination of pink, gold and alabaster colours to create great contrast. I have added some sweet flowers using the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken.

For my second card I have used a combination of alabaster and gold for a more subtle colour combination and added the cash register to a neutral base colour. To finish the card I have added pearls for a touch of elegance.

Designer Tip:

Die cut more than one small accessories such as the handles to add dimension to the image.

Imagine opening the gates and seeing this beautiful snow covered scene. Festive Poinsettias create a beautiful frame for this scene.

For more details on the products I have used please visit my blog here: https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/gallery/we-re-home-

Instructions:

Cut a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 7 1/2″ x 11”, score at 5 1/2” and fold. Die cut a shaped card using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7349 Palace Gateway die with the top of the die slightly over the fold to create the hinge. Score halfway across the front of the shaped card to create the easel.

Front of Easel Card: Cut a scene out of the pattern paper using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7349 Palace Gateway die.

Stamp two images with the side facing truck from the HCPC-3961 Home for the Holidays Cling Stamp Set in Jet Black ink on Iris cardstock. Colour with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies – one complete scene and one with the truck and deer only. Add glittery snow effects using Dries White glue and Crystal Ultrafine glitter to the base image. When dry add the truck to the image with foam tape and the deer to the base image. Colour some small clear sparkles with alcohol markers and adhere to the lights on the truck. Colour medium size clear sparkles with yellow alcohol ink and adhere over the car lights.  Adhere this to the scenic paper.

Die cut a frame out of light blue pattern paper using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7349 Palace Gateway die. Die cut two decorative frames – one out of silver cardstock and one out of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using the No. 2 and No. 3 dies from the HCD2-7349 Palace Gateway die set. Adhere the silver frame over the white frame and trim the gate to open and then adhere to the front of the light blue pattern paper. Cut the inner aperture out using a craft knife.  Adhere this frame to the base frame using foam tape and then adhere the whole to the bottom half of the top of the base easel card.

Stamp the smaller poinsettia images from the HCPC-3957 Large Festive Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set and the HCPC-3958 Small Festive Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set in Mulberry ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the centres with Sunflower ink and the petals with Vermillion ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Colour the backs of the flowers with Vermillion ink and shape with the coordinating molds. Assemble using two petals of each size and insert yellow bead stamens through the centres. I have used 7 stamens for the larger flowers and 5 stamens for the smaller flowers. To finish the flowers, add Crystal Clear glitter using clear gloss gel medium. Add a large flower to the top left of the front of the card and a small flower to the bottom right as shown.

Stamp the small poinsettia spray from the HCPC-3958 Small Festive Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set in Library Green ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the leaves with Leaf Green and Olive inks and die cut with the coordinating die. Colour the back of the leaves with Leaf Green ink and shape using the coordinating mold. Add Crystal Clear glitter to the leaves with clear gloss gel medium. Add the sprays to each side of the large and small poinsettias as shown.

Stamp the small leaf spray image from the HCPC-3959 Holly Berry Spray Cling Stamp Set in Library Green ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere the leaf images behind the large poinsettia

To make the berries, stamp the smaller poinsettia images from the HCPC-3957 Large Festive Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set and the HCPC-3958 Small Festive Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set in Mulberry ink on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour the stamens that come with the flowers with Vermillion ink and die cut with the coordinating die. Shape using the coordinating mold and add Red Berry Nuvo Drops to the images. When dry add a small splash of Simply White Nuvo Drops to create a highlight. Add to the bottom right and top left as shown with small foam squares.

Inside of card: Cut a piece of blue pattern paper using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7349 Palace Gateway die and adhere to the inside of the card. Die cut a tag out of the HCD1-7203 Ornamental Tags die out of silver cardstock and adhere to the inside as shown with foam tape to create a ledge for the easel to sit on. Stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3960 Holiday Village Cling Stamp Set in Obsidian ink on blue paper. Die cut with the coordinating rectangle die and adhere to the top of the tag. Add a small poinsettia, spray and berries to the right of the tag as shown.

Die cut a piece of blue pattern paper using the No. 1 die from the HCD2-7349 Palace Gateway die and adhere to the back of the top of the card and trim the excess.
