Amazing Paper Grace August Die of the Month Blog Hop – Lattice Petal Foldover Birthday Card

It’s a square card front! It’s an envelope! It’s both!! In the transformers world of dies, we love for our dies to be used in many different ways. This die was designed to function as both a card front and for the petals to fold over to enclose a notecard. The pretty lattice filigree is just the icing on top. Welcome to your stash, the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for August 2021 – Lattice Petal Foldover.

You asked and we listened. Our May 2020 Die of the Month was so popular that we made a slightly smaller, dainty version. Becca said that the inspiration for this die set is all about the Note Card. As someone who loves to drop a little notecard into lunch boxes, drop them into packages, and even leaves them on the door for delivery people – this is quick and easy. Die-cut 10 of the lattice petal jackets and 10 of the 3″ (or 3×6 for a folded note) notes for inside and you’ll always be ready with a stunning note.

Here are some ideas that will inspire you to create with the foldover elements:
1. A box with the foldover as the lid
2. Notecards (there is even a closure piece)
3. A sweet, petite basket

Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Project Today using Lattice Petal Foldover.

Pink, gold and white with handcrafted flowers are the perfect combination in this card. I have added dimension to the outer lattice die with some fun foam and then added the inner decorative die over gold card. The sentiment is hot foiled using the birthday sentiment from the Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set from Simply Perfect Collection.

The alstraemeria flowers have been created using the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Flowers Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken and the filler flowers are from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken.

Designer Tip:  

Add dimension to the dies using foam tape or foam.

My Project Today using Lattice Petal Foldover.

Today I have made an elegant card and coordinating basket to add some chocolates to say thank you.

For my card I have trimmed the lattice petal die and created four pretty petals that I realigned on a 5″ x 7″ card. Gold and white make an elegant combination and the gold highlights the beautiful dies. I have offset gold in the half circle decorative dies in the background and then used the gold cardstock to back the inner square decorative die. To complete my card I have foiled the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Heart Felt Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set Sweet Cardlets by Becca Feeken and added some sweet rolled roses and leaves.

A sweet basket is the perfect accompaniment to go with an elegant thank you card. I have used the lattice petals to decorate the sides of the basket and inside I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Diamonetta Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken to finish the inside of the basket. To complete the basket I have added a ribbon bow and some rolled roses and leaves on the base of the handle.

Designer Tip:  

Trim the dies to create different shapes for your cards.

Amazing Paper Grace Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes – Happy Anniversary

Beautiful card front sentiments do the heavy lifting on a card and the recipient knows exactly what you are trying to say. In that spirit, today we are introducing a new collection called Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes. It spins beautiful, intertwined calligraphic words into a compact label shape, perfect for the front of your card.

Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Inspiration

Many Amazing Paper Grace followers were so thrilled when the first 3D Vignettes with word inserts came out. Over time, our followers have asked for a greater variety of words to fit into the 3D Vignette apertures. Your wish is our command!

Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection

The Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection is made up of 7 different die sets and a stamp set. Most sets contain a sentiment and a filigree background layer. Each set makes it quite easy to produce a complete card. The bonus is the sentiment shapes each match an existing 3D Vignette. Along with being able to complete a card, the new sentiments will allow another sentiment to existing 3D Vignettes already in your stash. Romantic Chargeour works with all the sentiments.

Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection also contains an “inside” sentiment set that matches the thought on the outside of the card. To top off the collection we’ve included Petite Floral Potpourri. It’s a compilation of all the small flowers and leaves that are most requested by our community.

My Projects for Today

For my projects I’m am combining the Amazing Paper Grace Happy Anniversary Vignette Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken with the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Dome 3D Card Etched Dies Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken decorated with some pretty flowers made with the gorgeous flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Flowers Etched Dies from Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken and the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken. The leaves are from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies Candlewick Sampler Collection by Becca Feeken.

For my card I have used the Grand Dome die as a base on a flat card and layered the outer decorative die from the Happy Anniversary sentiment die set on top and stamped the beautiful image to the centre of the card as shown. I had some flowers and leaves already in my stash so this was a very quick and easy card to make. I have finished the card with some irridescent gems to add a little sparkle!

Designers Tip:

Make lots of extra flowers and leaves to have on hand when you want a quick card
